I don't know what I'm doing in life...
Hey...
I know many of you guys don't know me and that's okay. I don't know myself honestly sometimes...I started this app about a couple of months after new years because I kept getting overwhelmed and anxious all the time. I couldn't afford a therapist and I was stuck at home all the time due to the overwhelming control of my parents. So far, it has been great and I have been feeling so good and actually feeling like I could survive the raging thoughts. But sometimes they still come back and mostly...i still dont know what I'm doing in my life...I feel like everyday, I just feel so lost and confused and I also feel like I'm so behind on things in life that no matter how many times I do things well or don't miss this step or that step...it truly feels like I would never catch up with the world. I'm not looking to get pity praises or to get a "it'll get better" comments even though it won't hurt to have them... I'm looking to see if someone feels the same or someone has been where I've been and if so...are you still there? If not, how was your experience?
I've tried advice from my family and it was all very nonchalant and very unconcerned comments so I turn to here... looking for someone to actually give me the piece of advice that I'm looking for...
But hey...maybe I could just be exaggerating...
That's all, stay hydrated people🙂✌️

Hey, I just want to say thank you for being so brave and honest here. I see you feeling lost, overwhelmed, like you’re drowning in your own thoughts. It’s heartbreaking how heavy that weight can be, especially when you don’t have the support you need or feel like you’re falling behind everyone else. You’re not alone in this, even if it feels that way.
Those dark, rushing thoughts don’t just disappear overnight. But somehow, by holding on through the chaos, little by little, things can start to get a tiny bit lighter. Not perfect, not fixed but enough to keep going.
Please don’t doubt your feelings or think you’re exaggerating. What you’re going through is real and painful. But it’s also part of your strength the strength it takes to keep trying, to keep searching, even when the path feels invisible. I’m here with you, and I believe you will find your way, at your own pace❤️
This really made me cry, thank you so much 🥹❤️…
Do you have a school counselor you can talk to? A teacher? Siblings? Neighbors? Try writing down thoughts in a journal.
(First, sorry this response is so late.) Second, I just graduated so I have no counselor right now, and I'm trying journaling so far, and yesterday was my first day of journaling and it felt a bit nice so I might just keep trying that🙂🤷♀️
Also when it comes to my siblings...it's either they're busy, have very wishy washy behavior with me or I'm just scared of receiving advice that just lets me know that they don't careð¥ºð¤· (from past experience)
Hey, I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way. You aren’t alone or exaggerating and I totally understand you. It can definitely be so hard and frustrating to manage it especially with the weight of expectation on your shoulders. And I relate, I’ve struggled with anxiety and feeling lost/behind in life/not knowing what to do with myself. I’d say I’ve mostly gotten through it (though it’s still a constant battle) and I can share some things that have really helped me:
Honestly, what has helped me most is turning to Jesus through it all. Knowing He saved me on the cross and having faith in Him/striving to get closer to Him definitely helps me with a lot of my overthinking and anxiety. I’ve definitely gotten a lot of peace from it!
Trying to take actionable steps every day has really helped motivate me! Like just going out for a 15min walk each day or finishing an assignment or doing something measurable that makes me feel productive. It’s hard, but ultimately if you’re consistently taking action, success is inevitable!!
Just trust that it will all work out!! It WILL ABSOLUTELY get better. You’re doing amazing as is—you’re not behind and again you’re definitely NOT alone!!!
Please just always remember that you’re so incredibly loved, precious, and amazing! You are absolutely strong enough to get through this. We’ll be by your side every step of the way!! Sending you so much love and many hugs!! 💖
Your words of kindness is so appreciated💗. Thank you for sharing your experience🥹.
Hi! First of all, thank you for sharing this with us—that's so brave of you. 🤍
Second of all, I want you to know that you are not alone, hmm? I know—maybe not exactly—how you feel cuz I've been there too, maybe I'm still feeling it now, and am just distracted? but what we're feeling, what you're feeling? it's valid. Your feelings are absolutely valid.
We all experience this at some point in our lives, and just like you, I couldn't afford to go to therapy too the reason why I keep it all to myself; dealing with all of them myself: geting anxious, have panick attacks, and been to my lowest point. It's hard.
And we are never too much if our heart feels too much too. We are never overly dramatic or emotional for that. We feel what we feel, and we are not exaggerating. You are not exaggerating.
So proud of you for sharing this, and for still keeping on. ✨🤍
I'm beginning to believe that this feeling of being lost in life, which is so common to us all, is actually a result of us having specific expectations from life itself. Whether those expectations are for ourselves, for others, or even expectations developed as a result of others... when they aren't met we feel lost.
But if life is a journey then the destination is the grave. So it might do us well to get lost along the way sometimes... lest the trip become too short.
@DaveMarx ❤️❤️
Hey,
A lot of people feel this way, more than you may know actually. And I want you to know that no matter how old you are, you’ve still got enough time. So, take it one step at a time, one day at a time and when those raging thoughts starts flooding your remind, remember that you matter so much more than you think… And don’t you ever forget that EVERYTHING’s GONNA BE OKAY…. ONE DAY AT A TIME… Sending you virtual hugs 🤗
More or less I feel the same almost every day. Every day is filled with thoughts of what am I actually doing and how far can I survive.
I am still here, letting the flow take me along with it! I want to go in my own direction but somehow doesn't know how to navigate.
@DeepSerenity07
I completley understand how you feel. Everyone seems so involved with whats happening in their life. People have expectations of where they should be in life and are always wondering why have n’t I got my life together. The truth is you are exactly where you are meant to be in your life right now. Take one day at a time and prioritise self care thats very important. Take care
