Mansplaining & femsplaining
Mansplaining & femsplaining - do you feel these vibes in your interactions with the opposite gender?
Im a woman - and Ive had a mixed experience with this. Ive seen the male ego get really bruised if they hear an intelligent thing from me, and they turn to mockery when something I say isnt quite intelligent. Its not a healthy dynamic to be in.
I dont treat people like that, based on gender expectations. I am the kind of person who can laugh at myself for the blunders I make but also thank my lucky stars for the wise strokes I make..... so for me this gender based expectations of intelligence feel strange....
Luckily, all my interactions arent like that. I have talked to a lot of men where I felt treated as an equal and knowledge was mutually shared without any disrespect or envy stemming from any comparison.
That being said, this topic is extremely relevant for discussion and awareness. Because Im observing these things quite often, especially in relationships.
Im on a marriage app and it has a social interaction section and I see how people talk to each other and I reflect on the messages that are sent to me - there is a patronising tone with the intention to teach the woman because obviously the belief is that women must not be knowing anything. And then when they see the confidence, they turn to belittling it, because women were meant to earn confidence only through their validation right? .... I overlook a lot of these things to stay tuned with my peace but that doesnt mean these disturbing frictions dont exist or that they escape my observation.
I live in a patriarchal culture maybe thats why, although I see respect and tolerance driven interactions between men and women as well, so there is hope... heheh...
Anyone wants to share their experiences or what they have observed around in their culture or digital platforms they are on? Have male & female egos become too fragile ? And do we need to collectively evolve on that front? I wonder....

Men's egos are totally too fragile. I joke about it shattering my fragile masculinity when I have to use the women's restroom at work.
THIS. Why are men TERRIFIED of using our bathroom??? It’s cleaner than yours XD
It's often cleaner than ours. 😜
Usually. But also, it really isn’t XD Some people… lol
Some people indeed. 😅 I can forgive pretty much everything except when there's nastyness on the seat.
Like HOW does one pee EVERYWHERE???? I can’t comprehend this concept XD
Lol, well... Um... There are ways that it can happen. 😂 The important thing is to actually try to not do that, and to clean it up otherwise.
Lol I just… how??? XD
Also yeah, can y’all just… check the toilet? Put the seat down if you’re in a house and you’re a guy? Yk. Lol
There are many things you don't know about being a guy. 😂 I don't think the general public wants an anatomy lesson though.
Pssh, I check. I never leave a mess on the seat or leave the seat up. 😁 Anyone I've lived with would vouch for me on that. I think the main annoying thing that I do is that I don't actually replace the toilet paper roll on the thing, I just bring it out of the package and have it sit nearby. Some people might think it's good though, because I don't have any big beliefs on having it face up or down or whatever.... So if I do replace it, there's a 50/50 on how I do it.
@jesusredeemedme2425
I can imagine you trying to comprehend this 😂😂😂

@Creamyyy
I have experienced this alot, sometimes from men of other cultures, sometimes, men have felt the need to put me back in my place so to speak! It can be annoying. Or when you are seen as too emotional, or too naggy, or like you need to be told how to behave 💚
@Creamyyy This is a topic I think a lot about. The area I live now is very male-centric. Women conversing is frequently referred to as “jibber-jabbering” (mindless, unintelligent talk). Although I have yet to hear much stimulating content from the ones who say that. Men here also seem to be very lazy and selfish.
I am glad you have relateable observations. These themes are quite prevalent...
What attracts you in a man? Curious to hear your answer. For me these days.... it's something along spiritual lines... humility, kindness, conscientiousness...
@Creamyyy Yes! Those are such good qualities. The first thoughts that came to mind were patience, gentleness, empathy, kindness toward children in particular, and some kind of stimulating conversation. We don’t have to have everything in common or agree on all topics, but to have some mutually respectful things to talk about would help me feel so connected to someone. To know they care about other people and are curious about the mysteries of the world, very attractive.
I hope you find someone like that soon. Caring about others is so important for me too. I usually mention topics related to suffering of others when conversing with a potential partner, and often Im shocked by the aloofness and lack of compassion.... its immediately a disconnect of spirits.
@Creamyyy That is a good way to get to know someone, a window into how they might treat you or others.
@Creamyyy
Dude you're on a dating app for marriage. Of course your gonna find that type. The thing is that it's a hookup platform. It may not explicitly say that but it is. Rarely do people have good intentions on there.
@Creamyyy I have experienced this too. I have experienced the mocking smile in their faces when i don't know or don't get something right. Maybe it's coming from social beliefs ..idk. But I have met many people from the opposite gender who are never like that. They treat me equally. and are very supportive in everything. I think a lot comes from their family backgrounds,school and the society they grow up in.
Another thing that I have noticed is they are mocking or laughing at our ideas or lack of knowledge in something when they are with a group of peers.
I just noticed the quote from Enola Holmes 2 in your bio! I LOVE those two movies! I hope they come out with a third <3
@jesusredeemedme2425 Yeah those two are so good.
THEY'VE STARTED SHOOTING ENOLA HOLMES 3
This has become more popular due to the growth of the red pill community. It's deeping the divisions amongst the sexes and really toxic for all of us.
