Stop Living Like a Victim

Hi! I’ve seen several videos talking about this topic and I wanted to share some points that really made me think. These are things I also want to start applying to my own life because sometimes we don’t realize that we’re the ones holding us back or even sabotaging ourselves.

  1. Evaluate your mindset: Ask yourself if you'd like to spend time with someone who has your current attitude.

  2. Surround yourself with accountability: Keep people around who encourage you to grow and evolve.

  3. Separate past and present: What happened to you in the past does not define who you are today.

  4. Practice self-compassion: Allow yourself to feel sad without making that sadness your identity.

  5. Stop asking for opinions: Trust your own judgment instead of seeking approval before every decision.

  6. Stop waiting for permission: Take action on your goals without waiting for someone else to validate or authorize you.

  7. Own your mistakes: Apologize sincerely and fix what you can when you mess up, rather than making excuses.

  8. Stop comparing your timeline: Focus on your own path rather than judging your progress against others.

  9. Do the thing you're avoiding first: Tackle your hardest task early to build momentum and eliminate constant anxiety.

  10. Celebrate your small wins: Recognizing your daily achievements helps maintain motivation and stops you from feeling like you're never enough.

I know it's not easy but hope this helps!

Wow! A friend of mine and I were just talking about this today. The moment you stop living like a victim, you take away any chances of being further victimized. You move from "this happened to me and it hurts" to "this happened to me, it hurt, AND I SURVIVED IT". You take back your power! Living like a survivor takes a lot, it doesn't happen overnight, but it can happen! 🩷

Yesss! I was just thinking that if we change the way we see things and how we react to them things can change too and we can feel better about ourselves… Sometimes we can stay in the victim role because we want others to understand us or give us attention. But accepting what happened and choosing to move forward and get out of that situation takes a lot of courage. It’s not always easy, but choosing to change and keep going is something truly brave 💕

I knowww… but you’ll learn and you’ll see that little by little if you change the way you think and look at things, life becomes a little easier! I’m glad I was able to help you with that 🫶

Solid things to consider and perhaps relatable for many here and beyond.

I'd also add that everything takes time and sometimes all you can do is just keep going while the rest of the universe gradually sorts itself out.
