i wish people would understand that sometimes the best medicine is simply being with a person and not demanding things of them or trying to fix them, but actually seeing them and doing something low effort or simply being close. we often feel the weight not only of our symptoms but feel and come to know that we are burdensome thru actions and reactions. there's a lot of guilt, and it hurts very much. I wish I was better able to just be with people in their pain in the past, but the more i've experienced of it, the better I understand that people just want to be regarded as fellow humans and given some dignity, and some time.

This is absolutely everything. People can feel so uncomfortable when faced with another’s pain and often flee from it or try to fix it or say meaningless/unhelpful things in an effort to console them. Just presence is often enough.

@starryHeart2033 I see it alot so this is my own opinion I know others mean well and some perhaps don't, but if someone is struggling in depression or something else mentally. I think not forcing them to be happy is respectful because yes being happy is good, at thr same time its not always the best advice to someone whose already struggling to feel or think positive. In my opinion its better to talk them thru how they feel and offer ways that could potentially help them in their desire to go outside, eat something, reach out for help or support. Not necessarily telling them how they need to feel

It can be very complex and you need as much time as you need to heal. Rushing worsens it. I wish people understood how primal sometimes it can become, like survival mode, burnout, repeated trauma, etc. and healing alone should not be a thing. Especailly if you dont want to do it alone. Wish there were more compassionate and trauma informed resources

that mental health is just as important as physical health

@starryHeart2033

I wish people could understabd that sometimes you don't need motivation. You don't need any words of affirmation. You just need a hug, a simple reassurance that they are with you.

Sometimes you should just let people be weak, be vulnerable so that they can heal. You don't have to told them to stop cring or be strong..

I hope everyone is happyyy!!!

I wish people knew that some days I have good days and some days are bad days. Some days I am cheerful and other days I am just trying to make it through the day.

ruthlessly: In the end You have to take a stand 4 urself and are the only One responsible for one's Health ...You r really Lucky if you get Support...but U are Wat U wish to Change.

@starryHeart2033 I wished more people understood what linguistic trauma and being a second/third generation feels like. I know I can't expect everyone to get who I am or what I experienced through, but it's a very real thing that has happened to me and similar people too. When you grew up in a place that's not your native home, you're already an outsider to your relatives who immigrated before they had you. It creates this unbalances social dynamic where your elders look down upon you because you couldn't know about their trauma or hard upbringings and often they would talk in front of you in your native tongue even if you can't translate it out loud, but you know exactly what they're saying. I've been living with this my entire life and I've come to accept for a while that it's something I have no control of. I'd love to study more about my culture and history without having to be reminded that I'll never fit in, but that's okay with me and that's what matters.

That does sound difficult. Thanks for sharing this and offering this perspective for people to reflect on. It sounds like through time, while still hard, you've found ways to manage and do your best to understand, and regulate yourself through it. That's definitely worth celebrating. <3 :) Feel free to share more here if you want to vent

I dont tbink people understand that your mental is what keeps you sane while living. They bypass it as if its nothing. Not everyone copes the same, everyone has a breaking point and its not on anyone's terms but the beholder. I wish people understood how complex the brain is and how it operates under stress and trauma and experience. Mental health is really serious because its how you operate.

That being fully healed doesn't mean you have everything figured out. Healing from trauma consists of presence, openness, curiosity, creativity, and service. And you won't have the same level of energy every day to do what you want. Developing consistency is more important than the end result, so you don't have to shame yourself for feeling "lazy" or doing "nothing" on certain days. You can't heal in isolation, but you can understand yourself better by spending more time on your own so that you can start forging a path to healing. It will always be a unique path for everyone.
