Who’s a fictional character you resonate with the most?

Sometimes fictional characters mirror parts of us we don’t always notice. The way they handle fear, love, loss, or growth can feel surprisingly familiar. I’ve often found that certain characters resonate with me during different phases of life, almost like they put feelings into words that I couldn’t explain myself.

I haven’t a hundred percent related with anyone or like *that* much to find it so significant to share here butttt growing up I’ve always been fond of Hermione Granger and resonated a lot with her plus admired her too. 🥰

Omg yes! One of my favorites characters from the series is Hermione. Maybe you see your courage, loyalty and intellectuallness in her.

I think from the series, I resonate with Remus Lupin. Like him, I feel I'm also a bit perceptive and reflective. He's also the chill guy during chaos, and deeply resilient (which I think is me idk 😭)

The fictional character I resemble the most is Tohru Honda from the anime Fruits Basket. She breaks generational pain not by becoming hard, but by remaining soft with boundaries.

Another two fictional characters I resemble in my current stage of life is: Violet Evergarden from Violet Evergarden and Frieren from Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.

I'm having a difficult time picking just one. I feel like no matter what I do I'm leaving a few meaningful options out.

Could we do like a top 3? Is that acceptable?

Sometimes I felt like Homer with the gluttony, who doesn't love doughnuts? A bit of Daria with the nerdy glasses, sarcasm and independence..

I wish I could pick the immortally cool Trent Lane, but the truth is I could never hope to match that level of calm swagger.

Some guys just have it and others don't.

@HearshotKid I don't have Daria's brains but I just pick the bits of her that were cool to me :)

I resonate with Rapunzel from Tangled. 💕

She’s kind, hopeful, and curious, but she also had to learn how to trust herself and see things clearly on her own.

I relate to her journey of slowly finding her voice and becoming more independent.

There’s more than one for me. In no particular order:

Peter Parker - he’s late for his dates leading to breakups or late for his classes bc of his responsibilities as Spider-Man along with his quote his uncle who was murdered told him, “with great power comes great responsibility” These are all things that can happen to anyone in real life minus the having super powers and all that stuff.

Eric Draven - mainly for what happened to him (and his fiancé) a year before he was resurrected. It can happen to anyone in real life.

Sting (wrestler) - In 1996 when everyone accused him of betraying the company. I’ve experienced being thought of by people of not caring about anyone in my life which is never true but no one believed me when I told them how much I care.

Batman/Bruce Wayne - His dedication to cleaning up Gotham City and ridding it completely of crime and this dedication began when he was a 8 year old who saw his parents killed right in front of him by a killer. And he has no super powers but uses his genius intellect and every skill he was trained in/learned. I’ve always believed he was the most relatable comic book superhero character for all these reasons.

The Undertaker (wrestler) - I’m not known as a talker. Neither was Taker. Especially in the early years of his career with this character. Despite that he was universally loved for most of his career along with being praised for how dedicated he was to the character which lead to it lasting as long as it did (30 years straight in one company over several eras) and the high level of standard he set for himself. It showed me you don’t have to be a talker to be respected, dedication and never giving up and always believing in yourself takes you far, so I followed all that and I’ve always respected myself for it despite it not being the norm and wasn’t popular meaning I didn’t have any friends. But I always loved myself for continuing to live and thrive despite all the difficulties.

@akunknown

Thank you for sharing. I love how each one represents a different side of you… responsibility, being misunderstood, quiet strength, and just pushing through no matter what.

That last part you said about continuing to live and thrive despite everything, that kinda stood out the most to me. Feels like you’re the strongest character in your own list :)

Neil Perry, from Dead Poets Society

i've never felt so connected with a character so much before. but when i watched the movie, i really saw a reflection of myself through his character. i've been dealing with the same things in life, just like Neil's character.

@jj1nX Both Eren and Jinx carry so much pain and chaos inside them. At the same time, I hope you also get moments that aren’t just pain like small bits of calm, even if they’re rare.

Batman and the Punisher always resonated with me. Both had no super powers, but were adept at handling anything that came their way. Super resourceful and very tough.

Sounds silly. I know, but it's an honest answer I've never co sidered.

@discreetStrings8172 Batman and the Punisher both show that kind of “I’ll handle it no matter what” mindset. Kinda says a lot about you too, being resourceful and tough in your own way.
