loneliness
20 years old and i do not have a single friend in real life, only online. i feel so pathetic, celebrated 2 birthdays alone and it will be the same next year. its choking me to tears, im so tired. i hate myself so much and i have no idea what im doing wrong.
@feefus
I totally understand. I felt the same on my 20th and 21st birthday. Sometimes online friends can be better than friends you can see f2f. :) I am here to talk and to celebrate with you, if you want to! Happy Birthday, despite the circumstances! I hope you spoil yourself today with some presents, good food and good music!
@feefus Hi there,
I know how it feels. But don't discount your online friends. Sometimes people online can connect with us much better than someone in person. And beautiful relationships can be found through the internet. Things will not stay like this forever btw. I don't know what your present circumstances are, but trust me, at 20 you still have a lot ahead of you to discover and perhaps the right people are waiting for you around the corner. It could be a new place, a new job etc. Don't be too hard on yourself. It may not feel like it, but things will get better.
@feefus
I understand your situation. I too have trouble with making friends IRL. I adore my online friends and appreciate their loyalty and support.
Your aware and trying and you will succeed. Your young and that's a gift my friend. You have a lot of time gifted to you to go after whatever you choose...
I try to join things like the gym, yoga etc. I actually know a few people there. Also I frequent a cafe in my area and got to know the people who work there. I also try to watch podcasts on ways to put myself out there so to speak. I think it's a mindset and it's something I have to actively pursue like a job. Speaking of jobs that sometimes can create friendships too.
Your not alone in your need for friends. Alot of loneliness out there.
Go easy on yourself and just keep trying . Taking action is the way I change my path.
Best of luck

@ZombieLife89 i already failed myself by not having real life connections, thank u for assuring me theres still time
@feefus It's never too late. Don't be too hard on yourself. We all learn from life's experiences and from pain.
Get up and smell the coffee. Congrats on a new birthday, wishing you many more.
@feefus Hi there. It's ok to have online friends. I'm 28. I rarely see my friends. I'm trying to see them more, but it's hard. I can relate. Life will improve. You don't need friends to be happy.
@feefus -
if you are going to measure your self worth by a number, please don’t let that number be the amount of friends you think you have. You might do it by how many times you have laughed, or how many books you’ve closed with a warm feeling in your heart. Your worth could be determined by the by the number of different places that have had the privilege of being graced by your presence or by the number of times you’ve gotten up and reminded yourself of the better days ahead, no matter how hard it was. Hang in there and remember that anything could happen - you get to choose your own self worth and we are always just one moment away from a different life!
Sending you hugs and wishing you nothing but with best <3

@feefus
Hello. I am sorry to hear that you are dealing with this sort of thing. It seems harder in today’s society to meet genuine people. I am an adult as well, and most of my friends are gone. I had to kick some of them out of my life because they ended up being toxic, they were just using me, or I didn’t fit in to their schedule. It sucks so I know how you feel in a way. I don’t really go out much any more. I used to go out for girl’s night, but I haven’t done that in forever. I do still hang out with people, mostly family though. I have a few friends I still speak to from school and others I met outside of school, but when they don’t wanna go out, kind of makes it hard. 💜
@feefus hey don't worry I'm here coming birthday let's celebrate with happiness
