@ASilentObserver
My emotional landscape is quite picturesque today. I have the thoughts of a wonderful person who just died of natural causes, so sending good thoughts her way. Also, watching Women's World Cup Soccer, which competition always keeps me hopeful. Otherwise, in terms of internal landscape, I am glad my family will connect with me some time today with Face Time. Also, that I will have a relaxing day, writing when I feel like writing, and processing my emotions with my friends. I hope you're having a good day, and you can share how you're doing.
I hope the translate conveyed my thoughts without unconsciously distorting them. to this site I've just come, based on the fact that you've listened to their stories too much, I'm clipping them and moving on to the main question of the week, in fact, it can be called a genetic recessive mutation making itself dominant. the situation is that My suspicions of free will have grown morbidly, turning me into someone my nickname implies. can you do your duty as a listener for this week my friend :) yes you want me to express my feelings but it is as fast and changeable as a spider constantly changing husbands but it is possible to say something like this, as if my brain is not under my control, I feel that I do not manage the electricity of the neurons in my brain myself. has logical grounds For example, I have seen the picture of how one of our behaviors is caused by previous behaviors and our manipulation is not only in bad and harmful things, but in the concreteness of our behaviors, even in each muscle relaxation, the culture that we experience and see from previous experiences and the effect of geography in its formation make us a predictable machine in our next behavior and decisions. and this canvas makes me sick to my stomach.
@Determinist Sounds like you've been reflecting deeply on free will and how our experiences shape us. Feeling like we don't have control can be difficult to cope with. What feelings come up for you as you thinking about it?
@ASilentObserver
I grew up, my friend I grew up and took the next step and saw that spiritual purpose of life.
Thank you.
I have quite a complex state these days, but today is a little bit better than the other days.
I feel grief that's always there, I've lost three important people in a short time, I feel sadness. I feel a bit of anxiety and fear because of my cardiologist not responding to my emails and stress from having to call and tell them aloud that I need the pills changed because they make me depressed, anxious and apathic, I have fear talking about it aloud. I'm able to write things but unable to talk about them.
I feel a bit of pain from my back but I also feel happy and hopeful because my chronically displaced vertebra just returned to it's place! 🙏 I'm so hoping it will stay there at least one day 🙏 Yesterday it was only 15 minutes :(
I feel a bit frustrated bc it's 00:00AM and I can't sleep again bc of my insomnia.
I feel loved by my family. Hopeful and thankful because I feel my therapy and this platform is helping me. Look at me writing here, I was not able to even read it here before.
It's more of it there but I can't grasp it all. It's both positive and negative at the same time. I feel like I'm always teared apart between the positive and the negative.
@mish3l hope is arguably the best nitro. even being hopeful is a hope.
@mish3l Thank you for sharing your emotional landscape with us. I can hear the complex mix of feelings you are experiencing - grief from your losses, anxiety about contacting your doctor, physical pain in your back, etc but also you are feeling happiness and hope for health improvement. I am glad you are here with us and sharing. You are not alone in this.
Yeah, there's a lot more going on, many Pandora boxes opening from the past. It's a rollercoaster, it comes in waves, there's a lot of triggers every day. But at least I'm not spiraling down anymore 🙏
@ASilentObserver
Quiet, dark gray...probably the color of graphite. A few moments of sunshine here & there. The ground is muddy & will stain your shoes.
@slowdecline48 It sounds like a quiet yet reflective day with moments of brightness mixed in. I notice the mud and stains could represent feelings that are hard to shake off. You're not alone in experiencing landscapes like this. We are all here with you to listen to and support.
@ASilentObserver Quiet reflection/contemplation is something I do rather often. In fact it's something I try not to overindulge in because that becomes overthinking. Spinning your wheels without going anywhere never helps.
Feeling alone and spinning in circles. Feeling not good enough for people around me. Also, feeling like I need to get up and take my dog for a walk. This might help the spinning in circles feeling.
@WhereIsHappiness It sounds like you're experiencing difficult feelings of loneliness and believing you're not good enough. Those thoughts can really spin us in circles. What feelings come up for you when those thoughts arise?
Mostly desperation. But then I look around, and whatever small life I've created, it gives me hope.
I've recently been led on by a couple of people in my new freelance career and I took it pretty hard. Finding a job or clients in my field is difficult. I wish I had some sort of mentor or someone with skill and understanding in the field to give me some tips what direction I should go. It's hard, but I'm spending some time every day trying to find ways to go through it, learn and hopefully get myself to where I want to be for the sake of family and myself.
Baby steps, am I right :)
@WhereIsHappiness I hear you, Happiness. It sounds like you've experienced some difficulties and setbacks in pursuing your freelance career that have left you feeling desperate at times. Yet you also recognize the hope that your own efforts and small accomplishments provide. Maintaining hope even in challenging times is so important. Your every step counts <3
Right now my current emotional landscape has a lot of brown, & would not pass an emissions test in any state in the union... However there is a flower here & there.
(Translation: my IBS has been acting up, & I'm mildly about completing some minor tasks)
@slowdecline48 thank you for sharing, slow. It sounds like your body has been giving you some challenges. I can understand how that would affect your emotional landscape and ability to complete tasks. You mentioned seeing some flowers among the brown - is there anything helping you find moments of relief or peace during this time?
@ASilentObserver I already answered that last question. Got some little things done here & there. I suppose getting the two packages that arrived a few days back was nice, too...
@ASilentObserver
I don't know honestly.
It's a feeling I don't know quite how to describe
I don't if it's a lack of anything, or Maybe the emotion itself is something I can't name. It's pretty interesting that I saw this post when I've been wondering about my emotions too. It's a good prompt to motivate me to keep prodding further.
@Ayoe It sounds like you're experiencing an emotion that is difficult to name or describe. Not being able to identify what we're feeling can indeed be interesting to ponder. You seem motivated to understand yourself better. Know that you don't need to have all the answers right away - exploring our inner experiences with compassion helps us grow.
This is a good prompt. I am not entirely sure how to express my thoughts in text in English, so I wrote a poem about it. I hope that this is okay.
Amidst the shadows deep and wide,
A landscape painted bleak and gray,
Emotions swirl like the ebbing tide,
In darkness, they seem to sway.
But within this obsidian night,
A glimmer of hope takes its stand,
A distant star, a gentle light,
Guiding with a tender hand.
Though the road ahead is rough,
And despair may cast its spell,
The flame of hope, strong and tough,
Shines through the darkness, fare thee well.
So let the bleakness intertwine,
With glimpses of hope's gentle ray,
Emotions dance, an intricate design,
In this emotional landscape today.
@Baulder Very beautiful and deep poem, Baulder. You are good at it. Thank you for sharing your thoughtful poem. I can see this landscape represents the complex mix of emotions you're experiencing. Your words capture the interplay between darkness and hope. You're not alone in traveling rough roads - there are always gentle lights to guide us, even in the hardest of times. What gives you glimpses of hope during this time?
@ASilentObserver I would say that family, or what's left of it, gives me hope, as well as the kindness of people here on 7 cups. They remind me that there is still good in the world, and that I am not alone in my struggles.
