Affirmations to protect your peace!

In observance of this month's theme on love and self-love (The Heart of Connection), I have been working on not taking things personally and protecting my mental health lately, and have been looking up affirmations to help me stay grounded and check my perspective whenever my thoughts try to wander away from the truth.

  • I am the architect of my own mood, and I do not give others the blueprints.

  • I release the need to be understood by people who are committed to misunderstanding me.

  • My peace is more important than being right or getting the last word.

  • I do not inherit the stress of others.

Strengthening Self-Worth

  • My value is inherent; it is not a reward for being liked by others.

  • I am enough, even when I am not useful or productive for someone else.

  • I trust my own perception of my character over someone else's opinion of it.

  • I am worthy of the same kindness I so easily give to others.

To Not Take Things Personally

  • Their reaction is about their journey, not my worth.

  • I am a mountain; the wind of other people's opinions may blow, but I remain unmoved.

  • I refuse to let someone else's bad day become my bad identity.

  • I am choosing to be curious about their behavior rather than hurt by it.

I really love this post! I like the one that states

  • Their reaction is about their journey, not my worth.

I tend to tell myself and my children this all the time. Others' actions speak for themselves on so many levels. What they are says who they are. NOT YOU! Thank you so much for the share!

I am the architect of my own mood and I do not give others the blueprint 💚

That struck me, Heather, what s beautiful, needed post.

I admire your kindness and dedication to cups, and I want you to know it's noticed and appreciated 💚

@Amanda84 Very True! :)

When I read it for the second time in your comment, it sounds quite deep.

Now, I am gonna read all of them a few more times.

I've been reminding myself lately, over and over and over that you can't make an apple into an orange. It's awfully hard when you really really care about the orange. But...

You still can't make an apple into a orange.

Sigh.

I feel this on a deep level. It’s one of the hardest parts of protecting your peace in admitting that we can't change people no matter how much we love them. 🫂

To long for anything that involves another is a setup for disappointment. I take control of my own happiness.

Since finding Cups I've added journalling, which has wavered this week, specifically on gratitude and self compassion and since Sat started writing to myself instead. Daily affirmations might now be included too 😉😉

this one is really good! It has a very deep meaning as well

I like one which is less like a mantra, but how we perceive emotions as waves. when an the waves hit, we move along with them, not against them. And let the emotion sync and move on.

Thank you, due to tiredness I couldn't focus on much yesterday so the loneliness i often feel was awful. I'm fresh and bright as a daisy today after 9 hrs sleep (doesn't happen often), not enough hours in the day today to do all I want to, no time for loneliness 😄

I am enough, even when I'm not useful or productive for someone else.

Their actions is about their journey, NOT my worth.

These two affirmations hit home this morning! Thank you for sharing!

All of these are truly impactful. I’m going to make an effort to write them down on a fresh piece of paper every morning.
