I would swop with Hope. It would be interesting to learn about what the admins do in a day.

@Hope

Hi Hope! 😊❤️ Thank you for this forum post with such an amazing question! Everyone already mentioned as a candidate for a role swap at this point, I would love to swap roles with also for a day! I could not agree with all of you more! ❤️

It would be beautiful to live a life in the day of them! 😊 To see, what it is that they see. To understand more and from their unique perspective. "First seek to understand and only then, to be understood" (can't recall who coined that).

It would be great to not only see the highs, but also the lows. I'd want to see it all......the good, the bad and the ugly. Doing so would give me a chance to get to know them better as a human being, what their craft entails and ultimately give me an opportunity to be even that much more empathetic and support them with their needs as well as get the opportunity to learn more about the platform. There is much to be said in regard to the concept of experiential learning. 😊❤️

You might be able to tell that this very concept has crossed my mind before and so it's so much fun and so easy to share my thoughts about it all.

In real life, in the corporate world, I have created programs just like this. I called it "cross training" and it was done in an effort to accomplish many things at once.

The biggest reason was to be the great uniter and never the divider. To create more of a teamwork effort and for people to "walk a mile in someone elses shoes", to bring all of the different departments together in a united front. To realize that we are all on the same team and we all want the same great outcomes. Another department is not your enemy nor are the people in it. Everyone has a different role to play and you have to look out for the "next guy/girl" that you will be passing the baton to. Performing their tasks was enlightening for so many and it's interesting how others have a new found respect for what it is that others do and how it is that they must be feeling. ❤️

It always seemed to help to have a deeper respect and understanding for a corporation as a whole, how it operates and how one persons behavior can affect anothers as well as the corporation at large. It instilled the "we" and "us" and less of "me".

Cross training also can make it that much easier on teams if someone goes on vacation, medical leave, has been asked to take a moment and step away from their role and reconsider their behavior or even if they have decided to leave entirely and even abruptly. Having others that are cross trained for a variety of different roles makes life easier for everyone when you have viable talent and well trained individuals that can float and slide into different roles.

It's helpful to not overburden the people on the current team if they are truly busy and to receive the help and support as well as highly cost effective internally. Less overtime, less outsourcing and the true client does not have to suffer from corporate issues which they shouldn't have to. Less complaints, turn key, seamless.

As an aside, for me personally, for any corporate entity, I was always the first "genie pig" for my strategy of cross training before lifting it for the rest. I walked the path physically and mentally to understand the process, the challenges as well as my people. For me, it sent a strong message to others around me that I won't be held "emotionally hostage" or threatened with leaving because guess what..........I know how to do your job too, lol 😊. I think it also sends a strong message to those around you as a leader that you are willing to do their jobs and that nothing is beneath you.

I have often thought that this concept just might translate well for 7 cups. How much fun would it be to have a program like this through the Academy where people can sign up to take a 2 week tour of each department/area/role here on the platform? To get a deeper understanding of what it is that we are what it is that we do and how all areas are related to one another? To have available talent at the ready to fill gaps or holes when needed?

Thank you again for the forum post Hope. I had a lot of fun responding. 😊❤️

*high fives* 😊 and big *hugs* ❤️
