If I relax and just do things instead of trying to accomplish and measure how well I do, the result is better, and I might enjoy. Perfectness is dull and unpersonal. Things I make are made by me not products. And after all the act of doing is human and kind of spiritual and the result is material.
@Malapropp
I think that's a very interesting way of looking at it. And it's also interesting because something I thought of recently was: "Don't focus on whether it's done right, but do focus on doing it right."
I like that idea of the process being in some respects more important than any perfect result. Thank you for sharing.
@guidingMusic
i learned how to let go of my baggage (sp)
@sleepyfox19 It's great to not dwell on the past, let go, and be ready for new experiences! :)
To relax
@DebbieAnn
Great to hear! <3 Keep up with the down time and relaxing when you need it. :)
It's been an interesting journey and it is definitely worth it.
@sacto The journey may be long and difficult, but it's always worth it in the end. :)
Just passing "Step 57" right now and I learnt at my program today that there is another avenue I can possibly take if this application I have in "progress mode" is unsuccessful. As I was not aware of this, but now am I am a slight calmer because this whole entire application process has been almost a year in the making and very trigger and anxiety ridden the entire way.
@InkStainedFingers - Just a by the way comment - I really love your username. When I draw and the colours stay on my fingers... Isn't that just one of the best feelings in the world?
@Chiaroscuro1 -- I totally agree, except when it's time to wash it off or when you find out how stubborn the ink/paint is and it won't come off straight away.
I also love the feeling of writing/drawing over keyboards more than anything because I see it as an extension of who I am because I can't always articulate verbally, the way I can via written words or created imagery.
@InkStainedFingers - I also prefer to write by hand
#500 and nothing to say, sorry
@Melica It's completely fine if you're not sure what to say, but I want to say is Congradulations! You deserve it! :)
Step # 410
I thought I was getting better until my lonliness, my anxiety,and my low self-esteem ruined a good conversation between my new friend and I. I'm still very embarrassed and I wish I could go back to change it, but I know I can't.I feel awful and really stupid.
@RedPandaExpress88 - I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling so terrible after your conversation. But "getting better" is not a straight line going up kind of process. Feeling bad now doesn't mean that you haven't made progress. It's okay to feel like you are "falling back". Ups and downs are part of the process. It's okay. But I can hear that you are really feeling upset. Maybe you would like to talk through it with a listener? Or have a look at the Getting Unstuck self-help guide? You know what is best for you. Please take very gentle care of yourself, okay?
@RedPandaExpress88 Congratz on your next step, you truly deserve it! I'm sorry to hear about your problems flairing up and interfering with your friend. I know how difficult it may feel, but you can always talk it out with a lovely Listener on here
One thing that I have learned is that I can't do this by myself. And it helps to laugh.💜
@Singingroses
we are here for you! And true, laughter always helps :)
I haven't been on 7 cups long, but I've learned that I'm far from alone . ♡ and that people in an online community could actually care about others and be friendly.
@Randad1989
I am glad you found the support you needed :)
@GlenM. People here accept you as you are: without expecting you to be perfect. It's ok to have problems.
@yellowOcean9053
It definitely is! :)
