I'm learning I'm really not alone in these things and also that mindfulness is an underappreciated coping tool

I am learning not to be so hard on myself, people do care about me, and I should not care so much about what others think of me.

Note to self ( and everyone one else), AGAIN:

Depression lies to me and whispers that it will never get better.

It DOES get better.

Moods ebb and flow like waves.

RIDE IT OUT.

As an adult I don't have to check in with my sister or her husband for them to love me or for them to assume that I am taking care of things that should be taken care of..

I learned that I'm not a freak because of my struggles. I'm human and I'm not alone. It's completely normal to struggle in life and we can make it through if we want to. We can make a change in our lifes, even if it's just a small thing it can influence so much positive things happening to you.

Being mindful is a decision that I need to make daily. Every day is fresh and new but it also comes with the responsibility to make a new commitment. Just because I practiced mindfulness yesterday or today, doesn't mean that I don't need to make an effort tomorrow. Mindfulness is a journey and there isn't a stopping point. Tomorrow may come with struggles. Daily, I need to take time to ask myself how I will face strong feelings that come my way- do I choose to be commited and willing to be the best person that I can be?
