I've learnt that in order to solve my issues, I have to accept them first...

@GlenM To be kind to myself

Yesterday was a very very very bad day at work they got progressively worse at home I got to the point where when I was speaking to my husband he had a bad day as well and we both snapped at each other I got home and he got home and I was ready to fight the world and just start a fight and be mean but instead I walked out to my backyard sat down on my grass can I watch the moon and the mosquitoes dancing in the morning. As soon as came back in things are still strained between my husband and I and so he went to bed when he thought I was asleep he pulled me close and hug me and just whispered I'm sorry I love you. When I thought he was asleep I hugged him back told him I'm sorry too I love you more.

I've known to recognize myself when I'm angry when I'm upset when I've had a very hard day so as to not hurt anyone I love to not say anything stupid or mean or hurtful. I've learned how to quiet that spiteful angry voice inme and just listen my breathing listen to heartbeat until I'm calm.

I'm happy to say that I have reached my 150 a step and I know for certain that if I had not come on 7 cups I would've never moved forward with learning how to manage my anger and my emotions.

Hi @GlenM @Kate llamas @Laura @Heather @Heather225 @Jill7cups and all of you important admin types ... @pinkfluffyunicorns8706 @fluffyunicorns84 &Otis @korsbarella I don't know your new name :( @Moj @glassdarkly @kindDay4067 @Anomalia @InternalAcceptance all yous guys - amazing Listeners, wonderful Members, and very lovely friends ...

This is Step 1400 for me on my growth path. I should like to take this moment to say ... all y'all (see above?) YOU ROCK! I am very pleased to have made your acquaintance here at 7cups.

@GlenM asks what did I learn on this part of the journey?

I've been trying to think of something wise to say here for hours today. I am not coming up with something I deem 'wise enough' to put in the "MILESTONE steps and progress on the Growth Path" :( which tells me: 1. I am very hard on myself. 2. Things do not have to be perfect or 'just right.' Sometimes 'good enough' really is good enough. 3. Worrying about the future is a waste of time - it hasn't happened yet. Worrying about the past is a waste of time too - it is over and I cannot change it. Worrying about the present.... well perhaps worrying in the present is only good/worthwhile if I can actually DO something about it - or reach out to and ask someone else if he/she can DO something.

Hmm ... maybe number 3 there is wise ... for me at this moment, the most wise thing to do is take my SFO outside! Like immediately! <3 Platy

I'm learning how to be more honest about my illnesses, among a ton of other things. My boyfriend teaches me so much

Hi @AbejaReina! Being fully honest about my mental illness diagnosis or diagnoses IS really hard. I am glad you are learning about this. And it is wonderful of your boyfriend to help :) take care, Platy
