Amazing Compliments!
What is the most memorable compliment you've ever received, and how did it impact you?
@jesusredeemedme2425
"Reading your reply made me cry. That is the kindest thing someone has ever said to me." 😭😭
I've gone through quite a lot of hardships and i've been in pain so many times, and even though i absolutely hate being in pain. I realize that i can turn my pain (of being bullied) into kindness , because i don't want other people to go through what i did.
@pinkKite8784
But i feel like i was in pain for a long time before i realized that i can turn that pain into something good, like empathy or compassion. At first i did not realize that i could turn my pain into something good, i just thought that pain was bad, thats all.
And honestly, i genuinely do like helping other people, but sometimes i just want my own pain to stop 😭 but i know that life always has challenges, so i just want my pain to feel a little less heavy to carry 😪
This is a wonderful question. The first one that comes to mind was when I was creating my first (and most successful) artistic project. My aunt was there at the first reading, and when I finished she said something like, “wow. That was incredible. The world needs this. Keep going.”
It meant so much to me. My mother, her sister, was critical. But my aunt, who is a very intelligent and successful person herself, her belief in me helped me believe in myself. It was very meaningful. And as it turned out, she was right. That project had an incredible 13 year run, seen by over ten thousand people.
Thanks so much for asking me this. I’m going to connect with my aunt, and thank her again.
Wow, that’s amazing! <3
Thank you! Yes, it really was amazing. I am now really seeing how well I had done. I’m the black sheep in my family of origin, and nothing I do is good enough.
But it was incredible that that project did so well!
And my aunt loved me and saw the vision. I am going to reach out to her and say hi. I am not in contact with my mother—it’s Mother’s Day, here in the US on Sunday, but I won’t be seeing my mom. It’s so painful.
But my aunt loved me when I was little. I can honor and respect that love.
And repaint myself.
Long response to a short post, @jesusredeemedme2425
But thanks for the opportunity to reflect!

But repaint is a nice idea, too! 🎨 🖌️
@jesusredeemedme2425 I was told that I had a heart of gold and I was selfless, that really made me feel happy, to know that people felt comforted in my presence :)
@jesusredeemedme2425 I have MS, so my energy levels are really low. There are days I can't barely stand up. Some other days I do the laundry, when I'm better I'll weave. But every evening, when I'm about to go to bed, my partner comes to my bedroom - we have different ones - and makes sure to tell me how great I am, how awesome I was that day - even on the days i did nothing at all. I'll tell you, it keeps me going. He tells me I'm not enough, I'm a warrior. And he being repeating it for so long I ended up believing him. So yeah, thats's the greatest compliment I have. Everyday. I feel so lucky.
My soul complimented me something off late
Which made me blush
What it complimented is quite personal
However This resulted in being more responsible and getting better
I receive compliments daily from the 7cups community and I’m truly grateful for that😭 I can’t even wrap my head around how kind people are here—they raise the bar every single day 💓But the moment that really touched me.... outside of the virtual world.... was when someone who doesnt personally like me told me that I’m a solid person (tbh the person who gave me that compliment is also a solid person even though we have our differences)
My professor told me I was his best student. Probably he has told to many ones but I will never forget and I like to think it is true
@jesusredeemedme2425
I guess I would give you a compliment💓so that you can always remember that!
I don't know a lot about you but have been observing the way you ask all of us to share our gratitude and love for each of our great members on Cups! 💖
I so am fond of you for that! Even if it's a part of the community gesture that you are doing, you are making an excellent contribution! And I tell you, "You are receiving a lot of people's blessings all your way such that your heart is flooding with love and happiness" God bless you!!🫂
