Day 2: Self Kindness - Fill Your Cup!
We're celebrating a week of kindness here on 7 Cups! We kicked it off yesterday with a post on the Science of Kindness from @AnnaSilverberg's Kindness Path.
Now, you can't have kindness without including the most important person to you in it: you!

Before you can pour love into the world, you’ve got to fill your own Cup!
Why is self-kindness AKA self-compassion so important?
(From Anna's path):
🤗 It boosts resilience—you bounce back faster when you’re gentle with yourself.
😊 It lowers stress and quiets that inner critic who thinks they’re the boss.
😏 It builds confidence and emotional stability, like a cozy blanket for your soul.
Self-compassion activates the same calming systems in your brain as receiving kindness from others. It’s like giving yourself a hug from the inside!
Let's make this a conversation! How will you practice self-kindness this week?

Can I just send my best wishes to you, you do such an amazing job here, so much time, dedication and passion, you really care and I wanna applaud and acknowledge that and to check in and see that you are doing well 💜 💕
@Amanda84
Fr that's amazing🥹
I will practice self compassion this week by spending more time with God. I can practice journaling my thoughts when I feel stressed as well as praying to God about it.
Nothing is impossible.
The challenge I face in being kind to myself is not making time for myself, to be with myself.

💖 What's one kind phrase your inner voice needs to hear?: It’s okay to rest—you don’t have to prove your worth right now.
🤔 What’s the biggest challenge you face in being kind to yourself?: For me, the biggest challenge would be the same one a lot of people face — that automatic, deeply‑learned voice of self‑criticism. It’s like a reflex: even when you know you “should” be gentle with yourself, the old habit of judging or doubting creeps in first. Shifting from self-criticism to self-kindness is a journey that begins with recognizing and understanding the self-critical voice, which reveals its power.
