Day 2: Self Kindness - Fill Your Cup!
We're celebrating a week of kindness here on 7 Cups! We kicked it off yesterday with a post on the Science of Kindness from @AnnaSilverberg's Kindness Path.
Now, you can't have kindness without including the most important person to you in it: you!

Before you can pour love into the world, you’ve got to fill your own Cup!
Why is self-kindness AKA self-compassion so important?
(From Anna's path):
🤗 It boosts resilience—you bounce back faster when you’re gentle with yourself.
😊 It lowers stress and quiets that inner critic who thinks they’re the boss.
😏 It builds confidence and emotional stability, like a cozy blanket for your soul.
Self-compassion activates the same calming systems in your brain as receiving kindness from others. It’s like giving yourself a hug from the inside!
Let's make this a conversation! How will you practice self-kindness this week?

Go to activity is drawing😁
What I need to hear "your safe and loved now"
Why self love is hard.... Guilt, shame, self esteem 🙁
But I'm working on it 💖
@Tinywhisper11
So true on the self love. Almost impossible, at times. 😞
@courageouspanda2006 Take care of youself – prayer, rest, walks, even just deep breathing. Even God reminded Elijah to rest and eat when he was overwhelmed (1 Kings 19:5–8).
@Heather225
There are SO many kind people on here, so kind and compassionate to me.
A go to self care activity is rest. I love to draw and I love to walk in nature.
My inner voice needs to hear “you can do this. You are doing it. You are heard and you are loved.”
The biggest challenge I face is being to tough on my self. I don’t shears practice kindness to myself. I know where this comes from and that recognition is an important step in adjustment.
@peachThinker662 Leaning on safe support – God, friends, groups, family or a trusted mentor or listener, etc, can not be overemphasized “Two are better than one… if either falls, one can help the other up” (Ecclesiastes 4:9–10).
@Heather225 Nice massage it is from the most honored community! Self kindness is a thing that makes us prepared to show kindness and spread the world with support . Both listener and member should remember this that the first one to give and fill with kindness is you than you can make the world better as like your kind soul . Best of luck, Most honor and thanks goes to the author for reminding the very important issue . Thank you !

My innervoice needs to hear
My go to activity is listening melodies 🎶
"It's okay whatever you did was right at that moment, everything will be fine 🙂 "
I find difficulty in forgiving myself even after I have forgiven myself for the same thing earlier...
Share one go-to self-care activity. Loving kindness
💖 What's one kind phrase your inner voice needs to hear? I am doing the best I can.
🤔 What’s the biggest challenge you face in being kind to yourself? I like myself now,so I don't say outright mean things to myself anymore. I get frustrated when I don't think I am fast enough ect. Working on this reflex response. Go to a lovingkindness place instead.
