Good News This Week!
I have refound my passion for art and soccer so now I can put myself out there
@kivesh Show us what you've got! That's amazing you're breaking new barriers for yourself. Kudos, it's such a good feeling.
@jesusredeemedme2425 Some guy by me cut down 5 trees in his yard so I grabbed all the wood and have been splitting it with my axes. It should last me like a couple of years its so much.
@genericbeing Knock on wood! Good exercise using a maul or axe, maybe a log splitter, I prefer hydraulics, over the old fashioned way. Father has carpal tunnel, due to bad axe practices. But amazing to hear! Ready for harsh winters. A blessing.
@competentTruth3079 Its very good exercise, that's true
@jesusredeemedme2425
I'm finishing up soon on the paperwork/requirements for me to volunteer in a nearby hospice! Hopefully in less than a couple weeks, and then I get start on the training :)
@Ashen4 That's amazing of you, hospice can be, quite an experience, a mixture of feelings, working with families and those slipping surly bonds. Sending you positive energy to manage all that friend. 💓
@jesusredeemedme2425
someone mentioned me in a post saying i really helped them!
@alwayslove123 Kudos, excellent work! What a good feeling that is.
I finally renewed my driver's license after it expired 4 years ago😂 it was a major break through for me. I Felt empowered after A very long time
@zaaab That's awesome! I'd give you mine! Haha, commuting can be dragging. But attaining a license, conquering goals is great to hear! Courageous that is.
It's the end of summer break and I am glad that I completed my bedroom/home office renovation! Now the space feels calmer, cleaner, and safer. I'm pleased by how it turned out, especially the wall art and aquarium/hydroponic setup. :) I'm ready to return to work.

@Espejo
Wow, you should add some indoor plants.
@trueconfidant123
Thanks for the suggestion. My parents have a bunch of plants that they are moving indoors soon. I'm thinking of either having a couple small useful plants like aloe vera or another easy one
@Espejo
That sounds great. I'm looking to add some to my workspace, do you have any reccos for indoor plants?
@trueconfidant123
Not off the top of my head. I'm actually in a similar situation with you where I want to bring some 1-2 plants to my bedroom and office, but not sure which ones. In the past I've had success with snake plants (it even propagated), but then all of a sudden it died. My parents have a bunch of plants so I'm just going to look thru their collection and probably take an aloe vera plant. I also purchased a small hydroponic herb garden (I like plants that have multiple purposes) for my office so I'll set that up in the coming weeks. Hope this helped!
@Espejo
Hey! Thanks for the reply. I got an indoor rubber plant and an agalonema snow white. It's only been a couple of days. Seems like they're an easy maintenance. The rubber plant is aesthetically appealing and it totally adds to the look of the space you set it up in. I'm in awe and I sit around just to observe it for long stretches lol. Guess I've discovered my new hobby, 'plant watching' :P

@Espejo I like your style, feels really serene and zen. Cool wall paintings!
@competentTruth3079
Thank you! It is a nicer space to be in that before :) Hope your day is going well!
I decided to request off from work to drive my daughter to a Bible Quiz Team Tournament in Wisconsin. I’m really looking forward to it even though it’s a nine hour drive and we’ll be driving there and back in 4 days. 😌
I don’t get much time off…but I think this will be a fun reprieve from work.
@Olive1Q82 Great to get some time with the daughter, a road trip as it sounds. Also nice having a bit of a break too from the regular schedule. Have a fun trip!
@jesusredeemedme2425
A family reunion
@trueconfidant123 Great to reconnect with kin, hope it all went well, and everybody was comfortable. Reunions can be a mixed basket sometimes!
@competentTruth3079
Yes, definitely. Though the family dramas can be annoying. :D
My baby propped himself up on his hands and knees today, for the first time! He's getting ready to graduate from army crawling to...the other kind of crawling!
@easyScarf7950 One step and stage at a time like a Saturn V rocket. Glad to hear that! It's a miraculous process to observe, and a great deal of investment. I hope mother is doing well too. Restless nights and days it can be.
@jesusredeemedme2425 I mowed my lawn! It was getting tall and the backyard grass felt like plush carpet. I hadn't mowed in 2 weeks due to the extreme heat. But it felt great to finally get that accomplished!
@HopefulOne81 Shag carpet that grass can be, great work! Daunting task sometimes especially getting our mower running and if we're feeling under the weather.
