One thing I learned on my spiritual journey is that the world’s not mine to save. It doesn’t really belong to anyone. Unless of course there’s some giant space monster somewhere that has assumed ownership over it for whatever reason. But yeah that truth really helped me shed a lot of neurosis. Don’t get me wrong I still like to read about superheroes but yeah. Earth is only place that we know that can support life. But we’re not a space-faring people, we’re probably never gonna know what that ultimately means. Also we can’t psychologically handle a first contact event. But yeah. If I had to save the world, it would be for those York Peppermint Patties.
