Self love weekly series day 5
Welcome to our 5th day of our weekly self love series!
Through this time we learned a lot about self love. I want to thank you for taking time off your days to once again support a weekly series of mine. It reminds me of when I first started and the immense amount of help and support you guys showed me. For that, I m grateful🍃
Moving on today i want to talk about affirmations.
Affirmations are positive, present-tense statements—such as "I am capable and resilient"—that you repeat to yourself to challenge negative thought patterns and reinforce self-belief. We use them because the brain has neuroplasticity, meaning repeated focus on empowering statements gradually rewires subconscious habits and helps interrupt automatic self-doubt. They are especially beneficial in high-pressure situations, during personal transitions, or as part of a daily mental wellness routine, helping to boost confidence, reduce stress, and keep you focused on your core values.
With that I want to put some affirmations here and share them with you. Please do take time to repeat them to yourselves.

I like 2, 9, 16, 22, and 26 best.
As for the other questions, there's no other comment yet, so here's a few to everyone.
"Forget the freak, you're just nature"
"Life is messy"
"You're beautiful, and if you haven't been hearing that, you deserve to."
@Torean
So those are your fav:
I choose to be kind to myself.
I accept my awesomeness
I am thankful and grateful for the good in my life.
I deserve happiness and joy.
Despite how I feel, I understand this feeling and situation are temporary.
Those are great ones!
Also, your affirmations are amazing and really helpful 🫂
Do you think that repeating affirmations every day would help you in any way?
Thank you!
Yeah, I should probably be doing that with at least a couple of those. It's been a bit of help in the past, but I never made it into a long-term habit.
@Torean
Oh yeah I get it! Its hard to make it a habit! Maybe you could try gratitude journaling? And repeat affirmations at a certain time? Making it a habit?
I should try again on the affirmations... And journaling. I include gratitude in journal entries pretty often... When I journal at all, which I don't keep up with well. 😅
@Torean
Yeah I get it. Its not easy to actually keep up with journaling. You could set a certain time to do so? Like when waking up? Or at night?
Those are the times that make the most sense, and also the ones that I definitely don't have the time. 😅 That's what makes it hard. I can do it when I have time, it just tends to drop off.

Write down someone else's comment a good positive affirmation for them to see and brighten their day.
I am allowed to take up space, to have desires, and to have a voice
Healing is within reach for me
i also like to let you know about something i call flipping it were you take a negative thought and flip it like i never good at any thing into i not good at somethings but others i am good at
another one is i can not care about myself due to i not worthy of care flip it into i worthy of caring for self and deserve to be cared about even when i feel i not
this can help retrain the mind into thinking differently then it does right now but got to keep at it too
@stormieandpaws
Its okay if non of them touch you!
Thanks for sharing your own, amazing ones!
The website is really helpful 🤗 thanks for providing it.
Also, amazing affirmations to give to others! I m sure they are helpful!
Do you think practicing them every day helps?
@cheerfulKiwi1776
i think for me it not everyday as much as it is when i downing myself for something as when practicing them and flipping them it helps a lot i also do something some might find crazy but when having a flashback i at time can make in mind the outcome different like a day dream in away like say i having one on what abuser did to me at the end i might add that a monster came and destroyed them think if i put how it would trigger others but in away this is giving me back power i know odd but it very helpful at times
Thank you! 🙏 I super struggle with my inner critic. Only see my flaws
@cheerfulKiwi1776
I meant to respond to this yesterday but completely forgot lol 🫠
I think my favorite ones are 2, 11, 18, 21 and 25.
