@jesusredeemedme2425 lol. Fair enough. I can't stand when someone finds out I do art and immediately goes do you sell it. People like that are the reason I can't do it right now because I can't not think about my work in terms of it has to be perfect and monetisable

Woah, I too was about to mention the most important thing "time"
Making something takes a lot of time and sadly people often don’t see that part. They only see the final result.
And about monetizing hobbies, I can feel u. Some people can turn their art into profession and still love it, I respect that a lot.
But for some of us, art is a place of peace not pressure. I think when money, deadlines and expectations get involved, the focus can shift from joy to income :(
I was also told to turn my hobby into a profession multiple times because ppl think we should make our hobbies our careers, but I chose not to.
I didn’t want the thing that gives me joy and peace to become something that gives me stress in future. I want to always love art the way I do now (without feeling forced to create)
I think it’s okay for art to be a profession and it’s also okay for art to remain only a hobby or something peaceful. Bcz I think not everything we love has to become a business :)

You don’t have to be able to draw perfectly to draw. Just… draw. The more you draw, the better it will get <3 Fail a lot and failure leads to success :)

I agree with this a lot.
All it takes is practice, nobody is perfect at the start and honestly nobody has to be perfect to start either!!! :)
I wanted to mention the concept of "born artist", which is a misconception, nobody is a born artist actually :)
I think a lot of people believe you either have an “art gene” or you don’t but it’s really not that simple. What people call talent is often just years of practice. So, anybody can learn it at any stage of his life ... all it takes is dedication, time, patience and willingness to improve through practice
I draw portraits (especially eyes) and I paint too. Well, in my case, no one in my family is an artist. I started with random doodles as a kid and my parents noticed it and got me coloring books when I was really young. Over time, I went from coloring to trying to draw things on my own. It wasn’t good at all in the beginning (I still have those old notebooks) but that was part of the process :)
What people see now is not something I was born with, it’s something that slowly developed with practice, patience and interest. That’s why I don’t always take “you’re so talented” as a full compliment because it shifts the focus away from the time or effort behind it and makes it seem like it just came naturally when in reality it took a lot of practice and patience to get here.
I think interest can be natural but skill is built. What looks like a gift is often just consistency over time. I wish when people see someone's art piece, they try to see the hardwork and years of practice too instead of just labeling it as a god gifted talent :)
I was AWFUL at art most of my life. Finally found a book that WORKED in my 20s. Been an artist ever since!
Maybe the only reason you guys aren’t artists, is because you haven’t found the perfect book yet <3

Some things I like to tell abt music from my side
Practice is the most tough word u will hear from ur teacher.
They will tell you just 1 node n say practice it. That's it, u r gone for weeks making the same recipe agn n agn n agn
U will be so tired from inside u will become dry in terms of interest.
Then they will ask u to play that node. Slowly add some variations. 1 small mistake happens n u r de.@d 😂
Practice this until next time they will say. U agn go back to same process,
This may be hard for some to answer, as so many of us are not only besties of mental health but recovering addicts. When you ask " what should we ask?" "How do we want ppl to interact" we are all human here. Some of us just chose to reach out and try to get help..right.... There is not one human alive that is not suffering or suffered from something. Now think about your questions ...now think about your traumatic situation. You know these answers. Not to be judged. Not to be pointed out. Maybe someone can buy a pop for you or even a meal. How do I want ppl to interact......like how they want to be treated if they where in such situations 💯❤️
