We may be afriad to make a mistake for several reasons. The lack of motivation can be a reason as well as a lack of self confidence too!

If you do something that you believe in then your motivation could be to acheive that goal!

Firstly, welcome to the team; I am so excited to see the Motivational Support Team working hard and helping out.

1. If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake? Is it because we aren't motivated enough?

We are afraid of making mistakes because we naturally strive to be perfect, which is never going to happen! We may not be motivated enough because we feel forced into doing something or we have low self-esteem/confidence.

2. Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing?

I think I'm doing what I believe in! I am certainly enjoying writing every day (new years resolution!)

I think one reason ppl fear making mistakes, is a sense of embarrassment. No one wants to look foolish in front of others. And sure enuff, their is always someone there to criticize, or make a sarcastic comment (not a good feeling)

1. I think sometimes we fear because we have made many mistakes and are afraid of living with the consequences of bad outcomes that might be permanent ,

2- I am settling, I am too old and tired to strive for a new life in which I might be happier, but I am mostly ok with that decision, if I live to make myself happier, I would hurt alot of people, so I do thw the best I can

We become afriad of the outcome. More so often what we learn from past mistakes we can never really be sure that we aren't making the same mistake again

I become use to in settling for what I an doing.

1. I've always been afraid of mistakes, Yes we learn from them but sometimes the process of learning is painful and I hate feeling like I've done something wrong or let someone down.

2. I'm settling right now in what I'm doing job wise though I would like to do what I love. Life wise I am doing what I believe in I no longer will let people belittle me and make me feel bad for how I live my life.

I think people are afraid of making mistakes, because they were taught that making mistakes are bad. Making mistakes almost always result in something negative. I belive linking making a mistake with failure and negativity is something only in humans. You ll never se a cat beating her self up over not caching a mouse, she ll just try agin until she succseds.

We hesitate to make mistakes for we fear the failure or backlash there of. Motivation is knowing that regardless of the outcome, mistakes are part of the process.

And I'd say we're settling for what we are doing. Most things in life are uncontrolable and hence we humans tend to make compromises, even if a select few of us don't like it.
