@Starmedia
It depends from person to person, but some of the ways that help me relax are -: Journaling , Listening to music while taking a walk , watching some feel good videos /movies /shows etc ; if nothing else works, taking a nap always does work xD
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
Yes, it does depend from person to person, Sunshine.
Journaling, listening to music, taking a walk, watching feel good videos/movies/shows and taking a nap.
These are great ways to deal with stress, Sunshine!!
@Starmedia
Thank you for the question Star! It's a good thing that people have their own little ways in dealing with stress because it helps you gain more control when you know just how to manage it. It is also important to know what things can help you destress so you can use them effectively.
Personally, I listen to classical music, write poetry or watch some anime because it helps distract me :D
@DaisyDaph
You're welcome, Daphnie! So true, knowing what works for us and how to manage our emotions is so important.
I agree with your thoughts, it can definitely help us gain more control on our emotions and use the tools that help us destress more effectively.
Classical music, writing poetry and watching anime (I like them too ^^)
Sounds great!!
@Starmedia
What are the top 3 ways you deal with stress?
In no particular order, I:
-Contact a member of my support group
-Listen to music that matches my mood and what is influencing it
-Read/watch things that are either funny or remind me of the innocence of my childhood
Thanks for the discussion! ^_^
Ha easy.. first joke about it as long as you can.. then start stressing about being stressed and finally when the it gets too stressful to be stressed about being stressed just find a peaceful place where nobody is present and cry you heart out. Oh and the most effective one is sleep *~*

@ChasingShadows
Aww Shadows. ^^ *hugs* And, your answer makes sense! Sometimes joking about our stresses may help us in minimizing the intensity of the stress. And, crying itself is a release of emotions, and often can be healthy in a way too. It's okay to cry. ^^ Also, sleeping does help us relax too.

@Starmedia haha aww *hugs* \(@_@)/ The post was a little bizzare but thanks for being so sweet about it. Crying and sleeping helps yes and humour can be a way to let out things for some who usually find it hard to open up. The things that actually takes my mind off of stress is to work for whatever thing that I'm stressed about and if it's something I can't do anything about then doing something I like helps maybe painting or drawing a sketch, baking (even if I fail :3), going out for a walk or talking to someone I trust about it ^^❤️
I play guitar to myself, go on a long walk around the neighborhood (there's a pond close to where I live), or text a friend I trust. Usually talking out loud about what is stressing me out helps the most, even if it's just to myself.
The 3 top ways I deal with stress and it works for me ...
1. Go for a walk and listen to music
2. Stare outside my window and focus on the sounds outside / how calm everyone looks but could be also going through the same stresses as me
3. Draw or do mindful colouring :)
