🌈✨ Grief Jeopardy Night ✨🌈
Hey lovely friends,
Welcome to the most chaotic sentence I’ve ever typed. We’re playing Jeopardy about grief!
I know I know, stay with me, don’t run away just yet. :p
But imagine less game shows and buzzers, and more soft couches, blankets, tea, ice cream sundaes, and people sharing.
Because grief is heavy and sometimes it helps to hold it a little lighter without pressure. So yes, we’re turning grief into a cozy little game night because sometimes connection feels easier when we’re playing together.
So come as you are, grab something cozy, and play along with us. I’m really glad you’re here 🤍

How to play:
Pick a Category and point value.
Example: Coping 200
I will then give you a question and 50 point bonus question
Example: This coping skill involves allowing yourself to rest, take breaks, and do things to meet your needs.
50-point bonus: What is one thing that you do for self-care?
Take a guess at the first question!
Example: Self Care!
Answer the bonus question if you want! These questions have no right or wrong answers! They are meant to encourage sharing and reflection. If you try, you get the points! You are always allowed to pass on either question.
Example: I take my dog for walks!
Scoring: If you answer the first question correctly you get the points! Regardless if you answer the question correctly you can still get the bonus points. Whoever has the most points by the time the board is cleared wins.
Ready? Let the games begin 🎲✨

@CaringEzra "Remembering for 500 please, Alex."

@YourCaringConfidant
Yay desiree!
for 500 Remembering you getttt
Question: These are objects or items that help you remember your person
50- point bonus: If you were to create a memory box with things that remind you of your person, what would you put in it?
@CaringEzra For me, it's his wallet and pictures of us as teens. It's how I'll always remember him. For me, it's her photos. It's also the fact that I'm forever apart of her. Her blood runs through me. It's also music. Her love of music and favorite genres are the ones I love most. It helps keeps the connection there. ❤️
I've actually already created a memory box in the past but it was for my doggy. Her loss hit me so hard... even worse than for some humans I lost. Not sure what that says about me. In my shadow box of memories is a photo of my dog, her collar, dog tag, a paw print cut from my cricut, etc. I loved her with my whole heart. 🥰😍 She's why after 8+ years I could never get another doggy to love. I can love cats, turtles, any other animal... but can never replace my dog. She was the best.
@YourCaringConfidant
aw thanks for sharing desiree, sounds like you have some nice ways to stay connected to your people, photos can be a nice reminder. I agree, music can be such a special way to stay connected. What was their fav song?
oh my gosh i love your shadow box for you doggie. That’s so sweet and thoughtful. yours turned out so beautiful, Dogs really are so, so special, and the bond we have with them is incredibly deep. The grief when they pass can be just as heavy (or heavier) than losing some people, honestly. It just shows how much love there was.
@CaringEzra I found a old post I made and screenshot it. Here's my memory box I made for my best baby dog. 🥰😍 I still have her ashes when we got her cremated too and she's very much alive in my heart.

@CaringEzra

@jesusredeemedme2425

your question isssss
Feeling understood because someone has had a similar experience is sometimes called a sense of ______.

When I’m talking to you guys and have TONS of fun notifications <3
@jesusredeemedme2425
Yay kiara! oh my gosh sameee, love getting to talk with you and all my cups friends, always look forward to opening tags!
@CaringEzra
Ezz this looks super fun and what a lovely way to share and reflect and remind each other that none of us are alone when it comes to grief. 💖
I took like 4 minutes to decide what I wanna pick haha! Still confused xD but I’ll go with Coping for/ at 500. 👀
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
yay sunnieeee, thanks for joining!
lol yeaaaaaa it is a bit confusing. I tried to simplify it so that it was more accessible to everyone, but i didn't really think through all the details before i posted it whoops!
in tradional jeopardy you are give a clue, for example "This coping skill involves allowing yourself to rest, take breaks, and do things to meet your needs." and you are supposed to respond with the question, so its a bit backwards. You would answer with "what is self care"
the other thing that i didn't really think through was that when giving both the question and the bonus at the same time well 99% of them give the answer away! but thats okie, we are all just here for the fun!
so for your question you getttttt (feel free to only answer the bonus thats what everyone else has done!)
Limiting your time on social media or skipping a family event that feels too hard are examples of setting these healthy limits.
50-point bonus: Describe a time when you set a heathy boundary?
@CaringEzra
Omgeee no xD I meant I was confused what choice to go for because there were many options to choose from hehe. You did a wonderful job explaining, lovelyyy! 😭💖
But this actually helps understand the context even better so thankiees for sharing and I do agree that what matters is fun and sharing! 🥰
As for the bonus question here (or like the only question here?😂), one time I set my boundary is honestly on most days. The same boundary. I don’t engage with people that drain my emotional energy or speak negative thoughts into me.
I’d rather sit alone (honestly also what is preferred lol) than with someone who isn’t good for my mental health. 🥰
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
oops sorry sun *melts in embarassment lol*
think that is great boundary to always set! I love my alone time too xD it can be hard to set the boundery esepcailly if its someone you already know, but very important for protecting mental health and your well being
shares a cookie pizza :p

@CaringEzra
* comes back for more ice-cream 🍦😶🌫️ *

Meee pick emotions 500 :b XD
@Moonlight52
aw yay noorie friend! Sorry proud of you! Glad you came back! Gives you ice cream brownie sundae because that is the superior!
Your question isssss
what is a deep longing or desire for someone or something called?
bonus: what do you miss about your special person?
@CaringEzra
Hmmm I think its longing? :0
What i miss about her ? I miss a lot and everything 🥺 I loved how her presence always meant safety no yelling no scolding nothing she wouldn't let our parents do anything for us 🤣 I miss her choking her smile her presence miss sleeping / sitting on same bed beside her she used to be the family anchor just like grandpa too 🥺😭 she was a really kind person I miss her hugs and her smiles too she was very loved and am so glad she didn't go away alone she was always scared of that
@Moonlight52
thanks for sharing friend! You are absoultuly right! it is longing
your grandma sounds like such a lovely person, Can tell how specail she was to you and what great memories you have with her. It can be hard when we are in the mist of grief because there is so much pain and hard times, witch are vaild, but its alos nice to remember all the good times, she be proud to be your grandma, here for you
While this is just for fun! here is the leader board! feel free to play again to rack up more points!
1. Moonlight with 900 points
2. there is a tiee! CaringConfident and Amanda with 550 points
3. Kiara (jesusremdemedme) with 350 points
@CaringEzra General for 500, please.
@YourCaringConfidant
Yay desiree! You got this one!
here it iss:
Negative assumptions or judgments about how someone “should” grieve are known as?
bonus: What is one thing you wish others understood about your grief?
@CaringEzra Your "should" gave it away and I'm hoping I'm right. It's making people feel shameful for how they are grieving because they expect us to grieve their own way or be healed by now.
What is one thing you wish others understood about your grief?
I wish people understood that my grief is never-ending. Not that I don't want to find healing and peace, but it's just I choose to miss them and feel all my sad emotions. I want to keep them alive inside of me. I wonder if that even makes sense. 🤔💭
@YourCaringConfidant
I think i can definitly realte to what you are saying. I have often heard that "you need to move on from your grief" or even if you look at the popular 5 stages of grief (witch i don't fully agree with lol) there is that presumtion that at a certian point grief shouldn't bother you. But I agree the grief stays with you. Its not that its always going to be this huge painful all consuming thing, becuase it does change and our life grows around it, but at the end of the day its still there. Our special people are gone and there is still that hole, and you will miss them every single day for the rest of earth days. I think its okie to miss them, to be sad they arent here, and want to still have a connection to them. becuase they matter, they will always be apart of your life in a way. both can be true, that you can find peace and healing and still have tough rough days. here for you thanks for sharing as always you are amazing <3
@CaringEzra 💟 So, you do get what I'm saying! Awwww. Xoxo.
