Hi everyone! We have been talking about grief, we discussed different quotes that help us make sense of grief and then we talked about the different types of grief. Now that we have had the chance to dive into grief a bit (Feel free to participate in the earlier posts now, if you have not yet). We will discuss what has helped us process our grief in life.

If you are comfortable sharing, tell us about a tool/practice that helped you process grief.

It is important to understand processing grief does not equal

@Hope

Is the last sentence incomplete?😮

Great job on these prompts, Hope, such a nice way to reflect, share and seek support! ❤

I'd say, journaling has been really helpful for me throughout!

Sending love to everyone and looking forward to hear more from others! 🌻

While coaching on grief I use the tool of a "Good bye Letter"

This is to comfort people who have lost a loved one to process their grief using a writing exercise which is called the "Good bye Letter". I ask them to describe who they are grieving, special memories with that person, and lessons learned from the relationship.

The goal of this grief worksheet is to build a positive meaning in their lives associated with the lost relationship, and to begin moving toward closure. In this way we can teach how to keep their loved ones alive with beautiful memories. This exercise is specially helpful to children and adolescents who have difficulty talking openly about the loss of their loved one.

@wonderousApple741 I did something similar but not the same. On his birthday I write a poem. And we attatched it to a balloon and let it float up to heaven ❤

I'm still processing. I have a strong tendency to 'bury' things. When he was diagnosed, I told myself I would grieve whenever it came to me. Often, it was those 'stepdowns' in health and ability I saw as his disease progressed. Little things.... letting me do so much for him.... needing my support to get across the parking lot.... needing to be wheeled to the bathroom, and helped.

Being easy on myself and spoil myself for refueling, and as soon as I am ready, I will go to find quick and positive solutions, and if I can do more, I will go for it.

Had a lot of grief and trauma in my life. Ended up forming the practice of getting away from it all with fantasy fiction. Since it's totally unreal lets me forget things for a while until I'm ready to deal with it in a calmee manner.

to be honest

i was about to lose my mind

first thing my grandma passed away

my mother was about to have a surgery

and my boyfriend broke up with me

i thought that the problem was in me and i thought that i am the bad one i suffered of remorcee

why i didn't pass enough time with my grandma

why i didn't take care of my mother

why i couldn't save my realationship

i kept seeing neightmares

every single time when my mom wake me up i take her hands and held them too hard and start crying

bbut i didn't change any thing

my grandma will neverr come back

if my mother didn't have this surgery then the sickness will become a cancer

if i stayed with my ex then it will be the biggest lie in my life because he didn't love me at all

i made sure that those things are happening for a reson

i believed thet this is fate 'cause when u lose sthg then God will give you sthg better then it

i put all my focus on me My clothes My favorite pastime

i wrote a lot about it and it helped me a looot

i wached many podcasts

i found out that life will never go as we want never

as al mutanabi said "the wind belows countrer to what ships desire"

life goes on and none will die because he lost someone

keep smiling guys every thing gonna be alright just keep hope in your heart please-cat.gif
