Updates and Changes to Support Rooms
Hello Mods!
We're making a few changes today and tomorrow that you will need to be aware of. Please read carefully, and share with one another to ensure we're all in the loop.
Changes to General Support (Adult & Teens)
This room will be replaced with a Welcome & Support room. The primary focus here will be on new guests seeking support, though members are welcome to participate too. If you would like to help ensure this room achieves this goal, please sign up here to join the team.
Welcome & Support room will be the only public room and will require heavy moderation.
New (Hidden) Member Hangout Room (Adults Only)
This room will be called Member Hangout and will not appear to everyone in the chat room list. Again, members will need to comment on a forum post to earn the Hangout Key badge to access the room. (Will add that post here soon!)
The purpose of this space will be to redirect members who are currently detracting from the purpose of other rooms, in particular, General Support. It will be for lighthearted chat and to allow regular members to connect with one another.
Member Hangout is a hidden room and will not require heavy moderation. Please focus your efforts in the other support rooms to ensure members can give and receive support there.
Changes to Thinking Space (Adults Only)
Thinking Space is now linked to this forum post. Members must comment on the forum post in order to receive a TS Key badge, that will enable them to access Thinking Space.
The politics rules has now been updated to allow for religion & politics to be discussed in Thinking Space only.

@Heather will listeners be allowed in that new member hangout room or is it only for members?
@Twenty3 we can enter by posting on the thread just like you would to get in TS i have entry to member hangout

Just so that I am clear, sorry, what is the purpose of making the Member Hangout Room hidden? I wasn't quite sure!

Sounds like some good changes (especially allowing for politics and religion to be discussed, but specifically in Thinking Space). Quesiton on the member hangout room - you noted that it doesn't need active moderation, but is there a social media sharing concern in these rooms?
@Anomalia i think it means dont invadewith sooo many mods like just 1 to keep eye on sharing social media TS has its team in there alot so that ones covered especially since the discussion can be more thoughtful more relaxed

Heather will "everyone" need the key to TS? Or will Mods and mentors be able to enter without it. Just trying to clarify this change as I'm both and don't even see the room anymore.
@PoliteOceanyou need to post on the thread to gain access you need the TS key badge we all do if you want access
