Greetings to our Wonderful Community! Hope you all are doing well and safe. If not, hope you feel better soon. Remember, it's okay to not be okay.

This post is to introduce you all to our new #LetterWritingChallenge

Let's get into how this will work.

✔️Who can Participate?
〰️ Anyone in the community who wants to take part in this challenge.

✔️What are the steps?
〰️ The steps to be followed One by One to Complete this Challenge are :

Step 1) Bring any notebook/ diary/ paper and pen/ pencil.

Step 2) Write a letter to your past self in 7cups, that is the self when you joined our community. You can write about how you were as a person, your life challenges when you joined this community.

Step 3) Write a letter to your present self in 7cups, that is the self which you are today. You can write about how you are today as a person, your life challenges at present, how you have evolved as a person from the past to today.

Step 4) Write a letter to your future self in 7cups, that is the self which you wish to see yourself tomorrow. You can write about what you want to be as a person tomorrow, what are the goals you want to reach, how you can convert your present challenges into future opportunities.

Step 5) After writing the letters, go to the comment section and post "I accept and completed the #LetterWritingChallenge"

Step 6) If you are comfortable sharing, please share your letters in the comments of this thread or discuss them in the chatrooms with peers (members and listeners)

We will have Sessions on Letter writing challenges few times this week in the chatrooms. There all of us who wrote letters can enter the queue and share one by one the letters they wrote earlier.

It will be interesting and fun as we will get to learn a lot from each other.

Looking forward to seeing you all participating in this challenge. Those who don't want to share letters in-room or unable to participate in the live sessions in the room can post their letters in this thread too. See you all soon. Take care.

I completed the letter writing challenge. Found it to be immensely introspective and therapeutic. Wrote a letter to myself in a long time and felt it was long overdue. Made me deal with a lot of issues revolving around my father's demise 10 months ago. Was so calming to pour it all out of my system on to the paper.

It has always been a pleasure to be around you. heartheartheart You are a great example for all on here and always conduct yourself so well in all ways. I admire you lots. smiley

"I accept and completed the #LetterWritingChallenge"

I choose to post my letter(s) below and choose to not go back into any chatroom to discuss this or anything, This is my own personal choice. If I choose, I will go to some discussion rooms. I stand by what I have chosen to write for myself. I choose for myself what I want and what I feel is good for me to do. I care about a lot of people on here and want so much good for them. I wish I could have been a much better help to so many on here. I love being good to people and helping them, just for them, not for me in any way.

Past Self when joined 7cups

Bored, wanted something to do during the night/morning hours when awake, wanted a chat room things, wanted something focused on mental health topics. I was struggling lots to sleeps all the time, not doing well with lots of depression and wanted to connect with others who shared similar things

Present:

I have come to know how much the devil is involved in all of 7cups. I know that I want to leave 7cups completely, after I leave therapy. I have found out how unhelpful 7cups is. I am not any better off than I was before and am actually worse in many ways, and much of it has been a result of continuing to come back and be on 7cups constantly. I have had too many problems with things on 7cups that are so totally unnecessary, taken completely the wrong way, and I am not allowed to speak up about my beliefs and views of God, Christ and what I believe in regarding this. I do not need or want to be any part of any place/organization that restricts and will not allow me to speak and support God, Jesus, and what is right. I choose to not be a part of 7cups as they do not allow this one bit. I choose as a Christian to do what is right and not be a part of 7cups.

Future:

I plan and want to soon completely leave 7cups and hope to not be tempted by the devil to come back out of bordom or any other idea. I see myself getting better in many ways with leaving 7cups, and with leaving therapy. My goals are to spend most of my time reading my Study Application Bible book from Jim and Ann. I also intend to focus more on being in touch with people from church, and doing what I can for them, even if it is just talking to them and listening. I also want to get back to getting and sending cards to many, as it seems to be very important to them. I want to get back to being a much better Christian and focusing my life on that and not wasting it on things as I have been. I also have a wonderful therapist away from here for my psychological needs. They are super qualified with 30+ years of experience, a PhD, and 2 different therapy degrees. They are very loving, kind, accepting, so good at their job, understanding, such a great person and are so very able to help me with all my psychological needs.

Hi Amelia--just wanted to say I respect your dedication to your faith, your commitment to doing what you believe is right, and your awareness in recognizing that a change feels necessary. I support you doing what you need to do and having that space in which you're able to help yourself and help other people in a more specifically Christian way. I hope that in your ministry, you're able to use the experiences you've had on 7 Cups to maximize the good you're doing.

Thank you for sharing! I am also a Christian and felt the suffocation of anything spiritual here. Grow in the word and in faith! I’m also leaving.

It is so incredibly refreshing to read your words of your faith and trust in our One True King! I have done very, very little with this site, yet I have noticed this heavy aversion to God as well. The world is so determined to reject and run away from God (when, in reality, every single person needs Him and should run to His everlasting love!). I want you, and anyone who reads this, to know that speaking up like you have takes immense courage! Thank you for standing firm for what you believe, and spreading the love of Jesus!

I believe that God sent His only Son to be born a human, live a difficult life on earth to teach us about God and turn us to Him, and to ultimately die a painful death nailed to a cross to pay the fine for our sins. God is a perfect and just judge! We could never earn forgiveness for sinning against Him, and we are all deserving of Hell. The penalty for sin is death. But God, in His infinite mercy, died on a cross and walked out of a grave to pay our fine for our sin. He, the judge, paid the fine and freed us even though we committed the crime. I believe. God's NOT dead! He created us, created everything, died, and rose again so we could LIVE eternally with Him. What an awesome gift. I accept Christ as my Saviour. I believe that Jesus died to pay for my sins. I confess that I sin and need saving. I know this is long, but this is so important!

I have had constant abdominal pain for over 3.5 years. I now have much, much more than that, but what I have through it all is peace. An incredible, inexplicable peace that can only come from God.

God is so good. God is so righteous. God is so just. God is so, so important. Above all, God is holy.

Thank you very much! As you do, I speak from my heart. Having accepted Christ as my personal Saviour, my heart is filled with Him and His Truth! My prayer is that God will speak through me, and use me for His work. It is so very encouraging to find others who want to live for God as well! I am so thankful that I have found you here, and that we have touched each others' lives. It brings me joy that we share the great knowledge of Christ! Thank you for being who you are, and for serving Who you serve!

@Amelia2324 I'm sorry you're having a hard time here with everything. I mean - I understand but - I'm going to miss you when you go. You were one of the first people I met on here that truly seems to understand the full weight and struggle we deal with but I do understand why you would need to leave here. Tbh - its a thought I've been having myself lately - this was supposed to be a place of support for us outside of the therapist. I hope you take good care of you and yours and I wish good things for you all

Past Rutu

Thank you for never giving up on me and making me realise that life is not a fairy tale every step have its own little life lessons you have faced so much by yourself and I am very grateful to you I am glad you always took care of your friends and family.

Present Rutu

I love the way you are changing and evolving positively, reading books is now my favourite activity and I can't believe this hahaha I believe you can be more stronger especially emotionally it's okay to cry but let's stop there let's cry once and last that's it, let's move on I know it's very difficult to do erase someone's memories but let's not do that let's accept the fact and keep a positive vibe around us. I love you for what you are now.

Future Rutu

I hope I have overcome my emotions and read 100 books till now, I don't expect huge changes from you I like the way I am now but I hoped we have achieved some goals and I still have same friends and family with me and forever.
