A Reminder: Do not misuse banner in the chatrooms!
Hello everyone, As you might know, that fewer roles have the privilege to set banners in the chat rooms.
Unfortunately, we are noticing that some users are misusing the power to set banners. This post is to address this concern.
We noticed a few members are messing with the banner setting. In one event, it was noticed, a banner was set for the session but someone ended it. And, every time the discussion leader set it for the session, the banner was ended by someone else. In another event, banners were set unreasonably and with inappropriate texts. And, like this, we heard many stories about power misuse.
We appreciate our leaders and all they do in the chat rooms. But, at the same time, we like to give you a gentle reminder: “Please do not misuse your powers.”
The banner setting power is tied to certain roles to ensure that the leader shouldn’t face any challenge to set the banner or there be any delay or confusion. This is why we included additional roles like Sharing Circle Hosts in the recent update.
But, it is highly recommended to use your powers only when needed and appropriate. If we find anyone misusing it, their badges will be removed and behavioral points will be assigned under the Behavioral Rating System.

Thank you for the reminder Observer, true with every power (or access to certain features on 7 cups) comes responsibility. So yes all the people that have access to such features should use it wisely and only when needed.
@ASilentObserver if someone misuse the privileges associated with their roles, they should be fully removed from their roles.
And not only the banner stuff but any leadership roles including the paid staff who abuse of their power

Is there a way when a banner is set in a chat room can a team leader be told or is it not necessary. I have noticed that certain chat rooms stay open passed the 12 a.m. closing time What is to be done about that.

The room for 35+ sometimes does not close at 12 a.m. thursday
@pamharley003 when community mods are busy sometimes they change the rotating room later or even forget it, sometimes more than 2 hours, its not automatic by robots

Great post. I seen banners be used in mean ways. I think that this should go to the home page on everyone who has that power. Let's keep 7cups a great space for people!

Still have the banner which I've never misused but have lost doorkeeper which has caused issues.
Thanks for making this post. I was in a discussion where the banner kept being removed and it was really disruptive because people kept asking why or noting it had disappeared again. Hopefully it won't happen again :)
