**ANY & ALL NEWBIES!! YOU ARE WELCOME TO SHARE!!
** This past week has been another busy one for me... I think its because I've been finding myself getting out of the house more with the winter season ending... and also Keeping up with various appointments and such...as well as completing the Tax season! I also find that the more I keep myself busy doing different things no matter how small, that Its something that keeps my anxiety levels low, which is always a good thing!
** Even though its been busy, I've kept up with eating, working out, water, and my sleep hasn't been too bad either!....But I'm still continuing to work on that. I want to feel better and have more energy. I feel that I might do better with my goals once I start getting better sleep, so I will continue to work on it.... I Taught my usual Zumba classes, as well as I subbed a 3rd class for another instructor for a ZUMBA Toning class at the start of the week on Sunday. I must say, I really enjoyed that! I decided Zumba Toning and Zumba Gold are my favorite Zumba "Specialties" to teach. I'm keeping it in mind to start subbbing some more down the line this summer perhaps?... I mean its good "FREE" excerise as well as a few extra bucks in my pocket while helping to motivate others too!
** I have been pushing myself more-so than usual these past 3 months and doing some form of exercise 7 days a week, trying to un-do Holiday damage...I thought it would be a way to motivate myself and get back on track with things.. , and make progress. Saturdays have always been my Rest Day.. however, after thinking on it some these past few days, I've decided (for now) that I'm going to incorporate a Rest Day again, but have decided that its going to be on Wednesday. (Middle of the week).. So will see how that goes. Because I know my body can use the breaks it will be nice though when it gets warmer, and I'm able to start incorporating Swimming again! I love the water, and being near the water, and in the water. And it targets the body in such a different way, while also being able to relax and enjoy too. I just crank up my music and start doing laps, or jogging or running in the pool.. I can use something different again.
**Today the local Zumba class that I've been going to on Saturdays is having a Grand Opening Party.. so somehow I got "roped" into going and doing a few songs by the instructor that leads the class.....Its one of those things where I want to go and get a workout in, yet, I just want to go and enjoy as a student.. (but feel guilty if I say NO) lol.. Its not that I CAN'T Say No, but it all just happened so fast, I guess she just assumed that I was going to do the songs... But after that is over, the idea is to spend time with the hubby and do a little local shopping. And then relax in the evening with some good T.V. lol...
HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND~

I want to live healthy but my Drs are not helping with that plan so not sure what to do.
@DanaMHH what do you think would be a good start ?
@vivelespatates
Get lawyers and the press involved and invite the board of directors to the press meetinig.
I just want to be able to sleep at night and be awake during the day, but I get exhausted and my ability to cope gets worse if I don't get enough sleep. It's hard to adjust. The "little bit at a time" method has never really worked for me. The "staying up all night and then all day" works sometimes to reset my sleep schedule, but doesn't always work and it takes its toll. I hate that I keep falling into these patterns which impact my ability to do everything else.
@Zeraphim
Hey Zera!
So nice to hear from you this week. I'm sorry to hear that you haven't been sleeping too well..... I can relate to that. What do you think you can do to help combat that? Have you tried working out different sleep schedules for yourself? Making a sleep plan? Perhaps going to bed a little earlier each night (perhaps by an hour?) Also there are things you can also take over the counter (herbal as well as others) to help you sleep better. I hope that you can figure out what will work best for you. And good luck!
Thank you for checking in this week and letting us know how you've been doing.
This week was much less hectic than recent weeks. I did most of my exercise despite my shoulder flaring up a bit. It was teacher appreciation week at school, and the PTA bombarded us with donuts, cupcakes, ice cream. My meals were good, but I ate a lot of extra treats. I plan to spend some time working outside today, so hopefully I can burn some of it off! I'll be cleaning some hay out of my goat pen, so I'll be spending time around our 7 baby goats! I can't think of a nicer way to spend my morning!
@SadMe70
Hey Sad!
Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your shoulder, but its great that you were able to get most of your exercises....As a employee of the school system how I certainly know how working there can sometimes derail you and get you off track a bit. And they would provide some of the best treats
lol... (Pizza, chick-fila, etc..etc..etc... catered meals)... It can certainly un-do alot of good work that you put in for yourself when your not sure how to resist it. But, its great that you are already making a plan to get outside today and do some working out to help off-set some of those treats. And yes, what a better way than to spend time with your goats as well. I know you've said in the past how soothing they can be for you and your mental/emotional health.
I hope you enjoy your day today and accomplish all that you are setting out to do!.. Thank you so much for stopping by to check in with us and let us know how you've been doing this week! Always a pleasure to hear from you.
Spring, Summer and Fall are great time to get outdoors. Keeping my goal of 10,000 steps per day. Drinking plenty of water and eating light. With yard work and getting a chance to start gardening my anxiety has stayed in check. The holiday added pounds are finally gone. I never thought losing 10 pounds would take this long. Plenty of time outdoors in the sunshine and staying on track has helped with this goal. This checkin has really helped with motivation. Keep up the good work. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
@sail46
Hey Sail!..
Sounds like yet another wonderful check-in for you!... Glad to hear that you are doing a great job at staying on track with getting out, and getting your steps in as well as keeping your anxiety in check. I feel the same way and can totally relate!.... My holiday pounds are almost gone too, just a few more to go!.. Thats great for you that you finally met your goal! And yes, I also know what you mean by it taking so long. Its like it goes on SOOO Fast, and seems to take FOREVER to get back off! lol...
Continue to keep up they great work that you are doing Sail.. our stories sound very similar between the holiday weight gain, keeping anxiety in check and anticipating all the great warmer weather season. You are doing an awesome job, and are very motivating! Keep going! And thank you so much for checking in every week!
@PoliteOcean
*How Have things been going for you this past week? Meeeeeh
*We have another week left in this month. What are your plans to finish the month strong and on a positive note? I haven't thought of anything yet :P
*What goals or plans do you feel you are doing well with this past week? What things do you still need to work on? I really need to work on not eating so much sugar :(
*What have been the biggest "highlights" for you over the past week? I have been getting a lot of sleep!
@Mellietronx
Mellie.. I hear a huge great thing in here... That you 've been getting PLENTY of SLEEP! ...
That is really awesome for you.. You know, that "one" thing can be such a "HUGE" Thing and make a great impact on how we think, feel, and function throughout each and everyday (emotionally, mentally and physically). Great job!.. I hope that you are feeling the added benefits of the extra sleep you are getting! Thanks for checking in this week!
@Mellietronx Yay for sleep
hello everyone, thank you Ocean :) for making these daily check ins for us, possible.
*How Have things been going for you this past week?
Things are well. :) I have a flexible schedule which permits me plenty of time for myself and others. I did catch a cold and work through it.
*We have another week left in this month. What are your plans to finish the month strong and on a positive note?
My plans are to get my student enrollment application complete, build three, four month long curriculums for my classes I teach and to reach out to at least two friends. :) and or family.
*What goals or plans do you feel you are doing well with this past week? What things do you still need to work on?
I have been skimping on yoga but deviating more energy on logistics in my life. I will benefit from that but my wiifit yoga trainer wants me back.
*What have been the biggest "highlights" for you over the past week?
I made the decision to take a break from my weekend job for the one we are in. I am grateful that I have the work flexibility to do so.
**What things would YOU like to talk about or share with us?! WE want to hear from YOU!!
I just want to encourage all of you to think about who you want to be. If you aren't sure what that entails, think of who you don't want to be. You are unique and it is okay to not fit a label, meet others' preconceived expectations of you. You've got this.
@SteadfastStatue
Hey there Stead!
Sounds like a pretty good check in! Its great when we get "flexible" work schedules. It can surely be so helpful in making time for ourselves, and family/friendships etc... We need to have that time and be able to be well-rounded in our lives.
Sounds like you also got some great plans for your schooling as well as reaching out to those you care about. Its great to have a plan for yourself and to also keep "close ties" to others when you can.
I think its great that you do Yoga, (even though you've fallen behind on it a bit) I have not doubt that you will continue to jump right back in. I was just saying to someone else today (as I was waiting to start my Zumba class) how I could probably really benefit from Yoga. I just haven't really given it a try or a chance yet. Maybe one day.
Its nice that you've taken a break from your weekend job. I always liked to have weekends open for personal time and family time. That was always something that was important to me. I hope that you enjoy whatever it is that you decided to do with that time and get the most out of it for yourself. Not everyone even knows how to set work limits, and take time off.. Becoming "work-a-holics" (My son is like that)... we really do need that time to recouperate mentally and physically.
And by the way.. I LOVE YOUR "TIP" !.. That is really great insight.. (thinking about who you don't want to be) and not fitting typical molds, and labels of what others think you should be etc... Sometimes we don't always see it that way. So thanks for the reminder! And thank you for checking in this week. And for also be SOOOO incredibly supportive to everyone here in this community!
@PoliteOcean Remaining humble makes it much easier to step away from worj to enjoy life, and to embrace its capacities, possibilities. :) Most of all, making the choice for ourselves.
Yoga has helped me to stay limber and more efficient during my strength training routines. Also, helps me to maintain my balance, coordination, and reaction time. I highly recommend it. I wish the best for your son. It can be tricky to break the work, work, work, cycle.
I have found that following this mantra, helps you to declitter your life, and helps you to hone in on how to invest your time, setting you up for success. I understand it isn't all this cut and dry if you have lists of responsibilities and circumstances put us at the mercy of life. Life gives us a lot..what are we going to do with it. I know that it is key to discern between fault and responsibility. Of all the goings on in your life, which parts are whose faults and wherein do your responsibilities lie to pick up the pieces.
@PoliteOcean I want music on at work.
@SteadfastStatue
Yep...I got to have music whereever I am!
