🌷The past week was a little up and down, but overall went well.... I was able to continue to stay on track with workouts/activity, water, and sleep. And continued to meet my goals. The weather was beautiful here most of the past week, and it felt very mild and Summer-like, so I was also able to get out more in the fresh air and got in some Walking time. The middle of the week I did have a very UN-Kind encounter with a stranger who "almost" brought down my entire day, however, I chose to pray on it, and move past it and Not allow it to Ruin my feelings for the rest of the day. Which is typically a challenge for me, but something I am working on!

☀️ With This past week's continued mild summer-like weather, it was very easy to continue to keep up with activity. It was great to get outdoors and with the Furbaby more. He continues to keep me motivated to get outdoors even when I start feeling that "afternoon slump" in the day... This also helps to improve my mood being outdoors and in the sunshine!...Plus it was able to "increase" my step-goal by being able to get more walking in......This weekend however, Mother Nature is having a "personal episode" of sorts because it has now turned very blustery and cold again for the next 2 days. Thankfully the week ahead will be back to being more seasonable and I want to start adding more Walk-time to my afternoons and increasing some of my goals.

🌺 This weekend with the colder weather, I will continue getting things done around the house. Running some small errands, (and trying to stay warm)!... Also, we will be celebrating Easter and having dinner at my parents home on Sunday. Monday will be back to "the grind" and continuing to get back on track with personal fitness goals.

🌷 Fine. I continue to fail at reaching my goals which means they're challenging enough to allow for growth. I was displaced due to a fire and had to go through a lot but now am back home and recuperating. If one could call it that.

🌞 No positive parts: Life is always neutral.

🌺 I'm not from the US.

🌷 JUST FOR FUN: donuts

🌞 big question

🌺 ?

@Dallady

Hey there Dalla~ Striving for and working on our goals can certainly be challenging depending on how big or small, and how much motivation we have to keep going with them. I always say to start small, OR start over even.... even if you have to keep trying. I don't know how many times I've had to start over with a particular goal. I suppose the thing is to Never quit, and never give up!

Thats great for you that you are back home now after the fire situation. I'm sure that was all very stressful and difficult to deal with. But that is great that you are home and continuing to work on recuperating. We are here for you!

I suppose the positives (or finding/seeing the positives) is what we make of our situations. We can choose to make things more challenging for ourselves by wallowing in our negative feelings and emotions (I've been there many times), or we can choose to find the "smallest" positive thing that we can and continue to build on that and keep working at it. Personally either way, it certainly can take some work on our parts. I think the fact that you are back in your home & recuperating is a positive to look at?!

Donuts are fun treat option for a picnic. What kind/flavor do you like or prefer?! I haven't had one in years, but... When I have, I typically only go for the "Jelly-filled" ones.

Thanks for checking in this week and sharing with us. Keeping us up to date on how things have been going. Please continue to check back and let us know how things are moving along for you.

@PoliteOcean

I suppose being back 'home' and 'recuperating' is positive as long as I can stay focused on things other than what I've been through and who I am and life is general which is pretty challenging.

I'm the kind of person who has been through so much that people can't believe I'm still alive let alone here; I'm home but the confrontations and struggle never ends - I've already been assaulted twice.

Life isn't black and white for me in the sense that 'I'm home now I recuperate'. It's more a constant marathon filled with one impossible obstacle after another. So no, I'm not recuperating.

Since I've been home aside from the assaults, I've been disturbed as usual by the upstairs neighbor anytime I try rest and relax, been worked into a tizzy by the visiting mother and more.

So yes small goals and staying positive are all well and good but neither have any sort of relevance when one is constantly being attacked, breadcrumbed and blocked by everyone and everything else.

If you have a different opinion on the matter I'd love to hear it because I've tried meditation, movie nights, journaling, eating well, exercise, counselling, therapy, CBT, DBT and more and feel hopeless.

@Dallady

Hey there Dalla, I truly am sorry that you are having such a difficult time. I know for some (Vs. others), things can certainly seem unfair. In the sense that some may endure more than others in life. Or hit with so many various challenges that it can make them into a person that they themselves may not even recognize anymore at times. Or even leave time for "healing" mentally or physically.

And nobody should ever have to deal with Assault. I'm not sure quite what happened there, and obviously you don't have to explain that. But I do hope that whatever happened, that you are "Safe" now?! And that somebody of authority has been notified and possibly working on that situation?!

I know too, that with all that you've mentioned (Counseling, Dbt, cbt etc...etc..) That you are right, none of it can truly work for us (in my mind) that is, unless we have or feel a "purpose". If that makes sense??

Having a "purpose" I feel and have professionally been told, is what keeps us going, gives us hope, faith, etc.. and something to hold onto (a piece of positive). I know at some of my lowest of times when it felt so hard to bounce back, that it was just something I had to work on and work out for myself. Therapists and the alike, sessions etc...can certainly be helpful to some, maybe not to all. Meditations, journaling etc... also certainly isn't for everyone. Its something else that we have to work at to make work for us. But a "Purpose", having something to wake up for everyday, having that "thing" to look forwards to, work towards, strive for etc...is the thing that pulls us out of that darkness. I know that finding it can be work in itself, but once its there, its what helps to keep us afloat. (Whether its friendships, a pet, something you enjoy, something you'd like getting up and doing each day, looking forwards to when you come home etc...etc..) whatever it is.

I didn't realize that until it was made known to me. The word 'Purpose' I feel is under-utilized. But it can be the same thing all the time, Or, something new every so often. But its surely an important thing to have to never feel helpless or hopeless again.

@PoliteOcean Here’s how the past week went. Sunday I prayed for Russia and watched church on TV. I worked on my poetry index. Unfortunately, I busted my britches. It was very strange. Monday Tunde delivered my groceries so I wouldn’t have to pay the grocery delivery fee. My two new art history books arrived. Tuesday my two new theology books arrived. I started to use my Italian lunch meats capacolla and sopresseta. Wednesday I started to ready my new theology book, went to the library and studied my book on poetical interpretation, and went for a walk. Thursday the exhaust from the hedge trimmer made its way into the living room. I’ve been using my hair growth serum for 3 months and it’s had no effect. Maybe it’s going to take another 3 months. I also went to the library and went for a walk. For dinner, I was served potatoes with no skin. The best nutrients are in the skin. One would figure a person in charge of sick people would understand proper nutrition, but I guess not. Friday Stuart left fece stains on the bathroom floor. Fortunately Alan cleaned them up after a couple of hours. Saturday I went to the library, and tried to go for a walk but there were no parking spaces. For this upcoming week, I have an appointment with my dermatologist on Wednesday.

@Regmo

Thats good that you are continuing to keep up with your interests & studies. And that Tunde stuck to doing what he said he would and was able to deliver your groceries for you. How great that you were able to get a walk in for yourself and get that activity in. Thats too bad that the hair growth serum hasn't been working for you. Not sure which one you are using, but maybe you could try another option or ask your dermatologist to recommend one? Yes the best nutrients are found in the skins of certain fruits & veggies. Perhaps you could mention that so that it doesn't happen again?..Not sure of the background of those who are taking care of you etc... but chances are, unless its a nurse, or someone with an actual medical background, they won't know much about "Nutrition". I would certainly question those who are supposed to be taking care of you. Seeing as how you have a dermatologist appointment this week, maybe you could ask about Hair growth options?!.. If you get any answers, would love to hear what they tell you. Thanks for sharing your week and checking in. Keep us updated on how things continue to go.

Hi, Ocean,

How are you this week?...How has the First week of APRIL Been for you?. I had a surprise break this week from wednesday thru friday. And believe me, I took it. I didn't do anything important and it was wonderful. Today I was back to packing.

🌞 What was the MOST positive part of your week for you?!.... What are some Healthy Choices or habits that you did for yourself Physically & Mentally? I have been worrying about running out of boxes, so I bought more and had them delivered today. That made me feel much better. And I packed a bunch today. I finished up 4 boxes and packed 3 more from scratch. That made me feel better.

🌺 This is Easter Weekend in the USA.... How many of you will Celebrate and what are your plans?!....I will pray privately.

🌷 JUST FOR FUN: IF you were going on an EASTER Picnic (or any picnic), With the "First Letter of your FIRST Name (7cups name)", what item would you bring to the Picnic?! potato salad

🌞What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?...... How were you able to work through your challenges?!

Hey there Tree~ How nice for you that you were able to get a break. Those can really feel great when we don't have to do anything other than what we like or choose. Thats great you were able to enjoy it.

How great for you that you are making good progress with your packing. And it surely doesn't hurt to have extra boxes just in case! And I'm sure it took a load off of your mind, thus helping you to feel better Mentally!

mmm... Potato Salad, GREAT choice for a picnic!!.... (My mom makes the Best potato salad!)... Good thing she only makes it on the holidays or that wouldn't turn out well for me otherwise! lol..

Thank you for checking in and sharing this week with us. Good luck on your continued packing! Please continue to let us know how everything is going and coming along!

I had a good Easter - including a lot of treats.

If I brought something to a picnic starting with the first letter of my 7Cups name, I guess it would be umbrella?

@UberRuminator

Hey there Uber, thats great that you had a good Easter Holiday~ (And enjoying treats is the icing on the cake)! ;)

Bringing an "Umbrella" to your Picnic would be a great choice, you never know when those showers will pop-up (especially in April)! After all, they say "April showers bring May flowers" right?! :)

Thanks for stopping by to share with us this week and letting us know how your Easter holiday went for you! Please keep us up to date on how you're doing.

Hi, I have been not motivated about my life path recently, so I decided to travel to the nearest country with people similar to my background. I was raised in latam, but I moved 8 years ago to Middle East. Aging has been hard on me, as I expected to build a family after my divorce. After arriving here, I have healed a lot of csa trauma, but I did not find emotional stability. So arriving to Spain for Easter grounded me, adjusting my life expectations. I am happy I took the risk of this spontaneous trip a month ago.

@MarcelK

Hi there Marcel, I'm Ocean the Healthy Living Forum leader... We are so sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling motivated in your life's path lately. I think its great that you are taking strides to do and feel better about that. Traveling is usually a good way to get out and away from the "Norm" of everyday things. And sometimes gives us more clarity. I think its also great for you that you have "healed alot" from your trauma despite not finding the emotional stability that you desire. I think its wonderful that you were able to go to Spain, and that it was able to "ground" you and adjust some expectations that you have for yourself and your life! And how very fortunate you are that you were in fact able to take the trip and find yourself and your lifes purposes. We all need a "purpose" to have and wake up to each day. You seem to be coming along well. And we wish you continued luck and success going forwards.

Thank you for stopping by to check in and share with us. And for telling us about yourself. Please continue to check back as you are able and let us know how things are continuing to go for you.
