**This past week has been a little stressful due to what seemed like major issues that started off my week (causing an array of negative emotions)...., but once I tried to calm down and put things into "perspective" they really aren't that major overall... and I have to remind myself that "THIS TOO SHALL PASS"~ But basically some issues arose throughout the week that just kept adding up... (on the mistake of someone else).. which affected me, therefore, I felt I'd been put in the position to feel like I have to "fix someone else's mistake"... But once again, I know I just have to continue to manage stay calm, and keep cool and eventually they will work themselves out.~

**With all the little things going on, I did try to find some solace in taking a breather and taking some time out here and there throughout the week. I got ALOT of my mini-projects done around the house! Which helped me to gain better focus and mental clarity! Got alot of drawers cleaned, and old clothes bagged up to give away, as well ALOT of paperwork shredded that has been building up over the past several months. I literally took a "day" and just got most of it done~ So I'm proud that I finally got alot of it cleared out of my way~...... And... I did manage through everything to stay on track with my eating, workouts, water, (and sleep wasn't too bad either this week).,,, I've really been making some headway in the goals that I've had for myself these past few years, and I have no intentions of stalling like I usually tend to do this time of year~

**Next week I will be going away on vacation to celebrate my Anniversary~ And really looking forward to the time away! I do plan to relax and enjoy... My intention is to focus on making "better" choices while I'm away (as I know I probably wont' make the Best choices).. But , It will be a time to practice being "mindful" while also enjoying time with my spouse. And do the best to get back on track when we return. The challenging part as well will be coming back to a "Long" weekend (Labor Day)... after just being on vacation~

**Today is my Free day... but my friend is teaching Zumba in the morning, so my intention is to get up and go to her class and get some kind of activity and steps in before starting the day~... I then hope to get in some needed pool-time afterwards since it won't be long before it will be closing for the season~ Then a few afternoon errands. Another busy Saturday~

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND~yes

I've been doing my best to keep up with my yoga!

I start my new job next week, so I'm gonna focus on eating well and taking it easy to adjust to my new 9 hour days!

These last few months I really would like to finally have a solid, stable, healthy routine. I've been doing my best with how hectic things have been, but now I look forward to everything clicking into place...

Seeing a loved one cheers me up no matter what!

HIGHLIGHT: Learning when to push myself versus when to be gentle.
STRUGGLE: Consistency!

@betterchoices

Hey there!

Good for you for keeping up with your Yoga goals!... Thats awesome!

Good luck to you on starting your New Job (and taking the time to focus on continuing to make healthy choices and eat well!).... How exciting for you to embark on this new adventure.

I'm sure that things might get a little hetic from time to time.. But its great that you are continuing to try to 'stay the course' and focus on moving forward in your goals for yourself!

I agree... Seeing my loved ones always cheers me up too!

Congrats to you on being gentle with yourself Vs. pushing yourself too hard.. Sometimes it can be challenging to find that "middle ground"~ And we surely must always learn to be gentle and kind to ourselves no matter what.

I feel that you are doing an Awesome and amazing job for yourself.. and that as long as you continue to do the things you have mentioned above on focusing on moving forward in your goals while remaining "gentle" to yourself, that you will continue to find and meet your desired "consistancy" towards MEETING all of your goals!

Thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you've been doing! Please be sure to check back each week and keep us up to date on how things are going for you!

@PoliteOcean Oh gosh I'm really really trying!!! I always have this mean voice in the back of my mind hissing at me and saying "you'll just fall back into unhealthy old patterns again... Your fatigue will return; this happy energy won't last..." Etc. And I'm trying very hard to maintain positivity!

**Hey there everyone~ How have you been doing this past week? Oh gosh so stressed. I just started at McDonald's working Services and I am overwhelmed by the POS. They never trained me and I was just thrown there to fend for myself. I'm usually a fast learner so i think i'm getting the hang of it but we'll seee tomorrow...

**What are some things that you did for yourself this past week for your overall wellness? What made you "feel good" physically, mentally, emotionally? Honestly, just stretching my glutes made me feel so much better because i've been sitting a lot this past week. I'm also on a cleaner diet so i feel refreshed inside. Bok choy for the dub.

**We have one more week left for the month of August surprise~...What plans do you have or will you make in the next week ahead as we get ready to head into a new month? ugh. time is going by so fast. I plan to continue eating healthier, work on some cardio, and make time for exercise and meditation

@PoliteOcean Last week, I submitted blood for a blood test. Unfortunately, the results didn't come in time for my dr. appointment, so I re-scheduled. I am taking 1-2 weeks off from studying poetry, because I've been hitting it pretty hard the past 3 months. I got a new housemate on Friday and I hope he's cool. The house manager isn't very good with time management, and she is going to take on even more responsibility, so I am concerned about that. This upcoming week I am going to be getting a new cell phone, my social worker is coming for a visit, and I'm going to get a deep tissue massage for the first time this year. The recovery from a massage can really wipe me out sometimes. I never got any results from joining the dating for disabled app. The one thing that always cheers me up is listening to K-pop.

Another busy week. Time is sure going fast. Going down to the beach and breathe the salt air always uplifting for a mood change. Have been really good with exercise and healthy eating routine over the last month. Even dropped a few pounds. Will miss the summer once September arrives. Will just have to keep setting goals as we start the cooler months. Hopefully I will stay on track. I think the summer makes it much easier. Enjoy your weekend.

Really not doing so well.

I woke up Thursday with bad, multiple types of headaches (migraine like and tension), managed to make it to work for training and that went well despite how I was feeling and as the day went on things improved. Friday I was exhausted but ok. Yesterday I woke up with a throat swell that was quite bad. Could barely speak, couldn't actually see my throat in a mirror I think because the back of my tongue was swelling too. Had some bad choke-coughing sensations when walking (to get medication, set up and use it). If I didn't have the option to self-treat I think I would have had to have called 911 as I don't know how I could have gotten to the hospital quickly enough, safely otherwise. My throat felt raw throughout the rest of the day, I ended up doing an additional treatment last night just to be safe and still feels raw today. Dunno if this is the start of a cold or what. I've been sneezing, but no more congestion than usual.

So my weekend plans are to just take care of myself and rest. Dunno what this week will look like. If I do have a cold not much will be happening.

Oh goodness. Make sure you get plenty of rest and drink lots of fluid. It's also good to sweat, which passes out the toxins out of your body.

I had on my favorite skin tight jeans and those make me feel amazing mentally and physically. My girlfriend noticed my new curves and she was impressed. I took a shower and walked out of the bathroom to go to my room and I still had the towel wrapped around me. She saw my booty and was like "Damn Zule its that your new butt?" I was like "Yeah it is!"

I already posted this, but I want to talk about some anxiety about myself. So I adore and love my body and everything about me. This is what I look like (Not me exactly but a very close twin) pikdo.net/p/chalino_sanchez_reydelcorrido/2088127118977768545_1565373586 You could say after looking at that "Zuleika you are so gorgeous how do you have any anxiety at all?" Or " You have a body that is built to be shown off?" Yes those are true and I do love to show off my incredibel curves.

However here is the short story: So I got invited to go to a friends wedding and the deal was that we can wear whatever we wanted to. No matching bridesmaid or whatever. So I thought well I can wear this really nice dress I have that is been waiting to be worn. But I have chaned my body type and I have gained more weight because I wanted to be more pear shaped and not my natural hourglass. So the dress fits but its tight and I am worried I will get so much attention and be stared at because of my body. I dont want to steal the thunder from my friend. I could also just wear jeans since we can wear whatever, but I want to look nice. I dont like to wear a dress because I have flashbacks to be grabbed by the butt and things like that. Those moments hurt me. I also dont want other girls there to feel jelous of me.

@PoliteOcean

So I think its been since the end of May since I've been on the site. I've had a bunch of medical problems and they've played havoc with my losing weight. At one point though I was under 250 (from 295 when I was with my ex) but I've gained back around 6 pounds, after a period of time where the doctors didn't want me to walk anywhere by myself. Its just anemia and I'm doing a lot better now. I got my hair done again and a full facial wax, today I got the chin done again. My hair grows really fast, and I'd never done a wax before so I shaved the night before I went in, which meant I had to go in again today.

**What are some things that you did for yourself this past week for your overall wellness? What made you "feel good" physically, mentally, emotionally?

So for the last couple of months I've been in two group classes at my counseling place.. One on Processing Trauma and one on Relationships. Processing Trauma ended last week and involved using movement to let your cycle (fight/flight/freeze) finish. Healthy relationships has been really interesting. I had no idea how much of what I was taught earlier was wrong. From individual counseling I'm studying anxious attatchment and avoidant attachment style and trying to learn what healthy attachment looks like. I oopsed and told someone I had an attachment to them and I didn't say romantic, but one of the books I'm reading defines love as attachment, so they freaked.. I think they thought I was crusing on them, anyway. Things are okay but awkward between me and them. Maybe sometimes, absolute honesty and what you share shouldn't be absolute.........

I'm also working on "Taking my space in the world" So even though I didn't need to, I went walking places yesterday.. I left the house and went to Starbucks and got a strawberry frappechino. I phoned the library and had them reserve a book and then discovered they had another one I want to read on the shelves (I let myself browse rather than just going in and picking up and checking out), so I checked that one out too. I had a disagreement with a Peer Support Specialist and decided I wanted a break, so I cancelled going in today and just went to the salon today instead. When I couldn't find a blender in the house I am living in, I took the liberty of ordering one. And I ordered a bunch of books by Thich Nhat Hanh.

For August, I want to finish a couple of books I'm reading for therapy and one I'm reading as a personal spiritual/philisophical prompt. Mostly I just want to get out of this anemia sinkhole. In September I hope to procure a PS3 from a friend and pay it off in one month. I may or may not be going gaming 1 day a week. My therapist says she knows where to send me for the "dating pool" and I'm not sure I'm ready, but I don't want to push things out and then lose her as a therapist and then lose my potential connections (turnover in these type of agencies is frequent and its happened in other matters before) Financially it looks more like it will be October before I do that though.

**We will be in the "Last" Quarter of this year?!.. What are some things you are hoping to accomplish or look forward to in these last few months ahead? I'm hoping to get back under 250 pounds. I'm hoping to start cooking again. I want to understand what healthy attachment and relationships look like.

**Just for Fun.....What is the ONE thing that can always Improve your mood no matter how you feel?! cute puppy and kitten memes and videos
