🎄 This past week went well, in the way of continuing to keep up with and stay on track in the goals that I have created for myself for this last quarter of the year. There were a few things that tried to get the best of me and knock me off track, but I'm so glad that I didn't allow any of that negativity in to do so. ..... I wanted to be on a Healthier track "before" the Holiday season kicked in, and I managed to get back to that.... I stayed on track with everything this week & Kept up with continued Meal-plans and Tracking, Workouts & Activity, My Water could've gone a little better, and my sleep goals got slighty off track this week so I'm going to continue to work on that and prep better for that for the coming week ahead.
🎁 I am about 95% DONE with my Holiday shopping and thrilled... I have a few more odds and ends to get here and there, but mostly the major things are done. The weather hasn't been the best here this week with alot of Rainy days. Which is typical for our Winter here this time of year. Not looking forwards to this, as I am a Sunshine Gal...(Perhaps that should have been my name here?)!.. But this week I did however manage to continue with all my AQUA Classes, ZUMBA, And was able to get One walk in with the Furbaby when we got a Quick break in the weather and a warmer day!...
⛄️ This weekend we are supposed to get a "Small break" from the Rain on Saturday, which is just the perfect amount of time to get out and about , hit up a few Local Holiday Festivals, and do a little shopping, and a few other errands.....And perhaps catch some Christmas Light Shows within the coming week ahead.
@PoliteOcean
What things were you able to accomplish so far?
🎅What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" this week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?!
Highlights - putting up lights, being cozy and housed, having candles lit, bike rides, grocery shopping, learning about assertiveness, practicing more joy and embracing joy, dance workout, seeing the self care and work on myself start feeling less weird and wrong and more natural and fun. Doing well.
Struggles - Being hard on myself.
@Dallady
Hey Dallady~
How cool that you were able to learn a few new songs after getting some new guitar picks. Any songs that we might know?
Sounds like you have a nice grasp on helping others especially through donating to charity and spreading love and kindness. Keep up the great work you are doing. And also awesome job to you on continuing to work on yourself daily. Taking time to watch movies, chatting with your counsellor, baking and tidying up are all "excellent" ways to take care of ourselves.
@PoliteOcean
Hi, Ocean,
1.🎄 How has everyone been doing this week? I've been sick with a cold.
🎅What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" this week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?!
Being sick during my second week at my new job was a challenge. I talked to my boss on the weekend before to let her know I was sick. She told me to stay home Monday. Since I work with children and food, it isn't good for me to be there with a cold. I also talked to her every day after, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I let her know how I was feeling and if I thought I should stay home the next day. She'd give me her input and then we'd go from there. So, while it was uncomfortable to talk to my new boss every day about needing to be off again the next day, I did it because I knew it was the right thing to do.
@purpleTree4652
Hey there Tree~
Hopefully the week ahead will find that you are feeling better much sooner!
Its great that despite not feeling your best that you were able to get some chores and errands done for yourself such as laundry, and getting the groceries. I'm sure it must've been a challenge. But its great that you were able to also just relax and stay in bed when you knew that your overall wellbeing needed it. And to allow time for yourself to heal up. ...How nice of you though that through it all that you managed to still find some time to help others at work and do what you were able to do.
🎄 How has everyone been doing this week? - One of the previous check in posts mentioned "preparing/getting organized early". I've been getting stricter on myself with this and it's made my life much easier and eased my anxiety
@SirenOfSerenity
Hey there Siren!.... That is so awesome for you that you decided to take action on your goals in getting prepared and organized. And that you are finding the benefits of it for yourself. And that its making things easier for you and lessoning your anxiety. Thats a HUGE Positive!
Great job to you on taking charge of your thoughts regarding self-doubts and anxieties that you were feeling. And learning to lean into becoming more aware of yourself. Keep up the great work with that!
@PoliteOcean Here’s how the past week went. I was consistent with my devotional time. I finished the book of Jeremiah and started to study the book of John. Sunday I watched church for 90 minutes. Sunday afternoon I went for a walk through my neighborhood. Monday my new batch of supplements arrived. I continued with my studies of art history, philosophy of art, and reading poetry. Wednesday I went to the dermatologist. I don’t have any serious conditions, my issues are mostly superficial. Thursday morning the electricity went out for 45 minutes. Later Thursday night, the electricity went out again. I decided I needed to buy a flashlight from Amazon in case it happens again. The internet has been a tremendous blessing over the past 17 years. I don’t know how disabled people survived before the internet. Tunde took me for a walk 4 times this week. I always think of feces whenever I see Stuart, even when he doesn’t smell bad. Alan has been gone for two weeks, and Dennis has been gone for 8 weeks. For this upcoming week, I have a chiropractic appointment on Friday. I’m also going to return my back up hard drive. I still need to buy a back up drive, but maybe I should go to a real computer store instead of buying it over the internet. I’ve been working on a 7 day prayer calendar, and so far it’s 15 pages long with a couple of addendums. I’m going to try to print it out on Wednesday when I go to the library. Sifa, Alan and Nia all have terrible taste in clothes. It hurts my eyes.
@Regmo
Hey Regmo~ .....Good job at being able to continue to stay consistent with your devotional time and All your studies.., And good for you for being able to get your book of Jeremiah completed and starting a new study of John. Thats great that you were able to get in a good bit of Church time. I used to devote myself to getting it in first thing before starting my day, but have slipped on that. I find that it puts me in a good head space by doing it before anything else, and need to get back into that... 90 minutes is really good. Its also great that you were able to get out and about for your walks this week, and also that your supplements came. I still haven't ordered mine yet. I'm sure thats great news for you from your Dermatologist and Thats now one less concern for you going forwards. As far as the electricity going out, I think its a good idea to have a flashlight as a back up plan. Or at least some candles or something, either way they are both pretty cheap. Also I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to visit with a real computer store for your back-up drive. At least weight your options between the two. Thats great that you have also decided to work on your prayer calendar. Hopefully you will find the benefits of it that you are seeking in your prayer time. Keep us updated on how that goes for you. Thanks for sharing with us this week and continuing to let us know how things are going.
Been a hard week.
Wishing everyone a happy and safe holiday season.
