**This past week has been a "mix" of many things, feelings, emotions, events etc...We started off the week celebrating my Husbands birthday, which all went very well~ I'm just glad that he enjoyed it all.... Of course, I managed to let my guard down with that event and got off track with my eating frown.. It basically went through the whole weekend. It was one of those things/days/weekends where I just felt, "oh well"~ And just gave into it for some reason?! And then it spilled into Monday as well~ angry... I did my best to get back on track first thing Tuesday morning. The few things that gave me solace in what I did is that since I am an "Instructor", that I did manage to stay on track with my "Workouts" and activity.. Teaching my Two classes Monday, and then again on Tuesday. Which hopefully helped with some of what I did.

**The weather got very colder here this past week, and we were supposed to get SNOW!surprise...BUT..... our Lovely "Meterologist" had no clue what they were talking about... Living in the South, we were all set and prepared to be "Off work, Out of School.. etc..etc..." I was expecting NOT to have to go in and instruct my class on Tuesday... But All of that fell through when it turned out to be a beautiful "yet cold" Sunny day!?...(I'm like DUDE?? Where's the SNOW??!!)... cheeky..... My husband took off work, all the surrounding schools cancelled etc....(Because thats just what they do in the south without the proper equipment and manpower to take care of the snow like we did when I lived in the North a majority of my life)....... BUT.. I ended up having to go in and instruct my class. I will tell you, I was kind of looking forward to just "relaxing" and being off since all the "morning" classes got cancelled at my Studio. But, Nope, Me and another instructor ended up having to teach our classes. I know I shouldn't complain. BUT... When you are in the "mind-set" that you "won't" have to go out, or be anywhere.. thats what I expected to happen.blush

**The lady that runs our Studio notified us of TWO events for February to attempt to draw in more Participants/members, One for Friday, one for Saturday.. But...Friday's got cancelled....indecision.. The other event (Our Zumba-Thon) will be early today in the morning... one of the few days I do get to sleep in a bit. zzzzzzzz~~ I'm all for it, if it can help draw in new people to my classes?! Will see how it all goes.~

**Today is my FREE day, and well, got the ZumbaThon of course, and then its supposed to actually warm-up a little here (Spring-Like weather)!.... so we may go out to dinner at one of our favorite eateries.. I still got a Christmas Giftcard from my son to one of my favorites spots, and then he got my husband one for his birthday last week to "his" favorite spot! lol... So... we will have to "flip a coin" or something to see where we will end up?! lolol ... devil

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND EVERYONE~ yes

@PoliteOcean

Well done with staying on track with your track with your workouts and teaching your classes on Monday and Tuesday. That takes a lot of stamina and is so healthy. I'm proud of you! heart I'm sorry that you weren't expecting to have to teach your classes after being in the mindset that you wouldn't have to, but a positive is that you managed to stay on track. heart Good luck with drawing new people into your classes, I'm sure it'll work.

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND TOO!

Another busy week but pretty much staying on track. Still trying to stay on track with calories. Seems to be an uphill battle this time of year. Still eating healthy, but have to watch the carbohydrates. Very cold few days 15F , which is too cold for outdoor exercise. Today was low 30sF and did get my exercise in. Next week will be back to moderate temperatures and getting closer to Spring. Overall things have been going well. Last year this time I decided to lose 15 pounds, which I did over four months. This year I only have to maintain the lost weight which should be easier. Enjoy your weekend.

@sail46

Hey there Sail, glad to hear that things seem to be for the most part going great for you!..I will agree, that even though eating "healthy" isn't quite that much of a challenge, but keeping those carbs low can be... I know that not all carbs are bad, and that we do need them and the healthy ones......But I do love my carbs. I have to be so careful with them.

I know its been a challenge to get out with the colder weather, and it was very cold this past week.... I think you told me the "state" that you live in a previous post, so you are a little bit more North of me... So I'm sure its even colder there, especially based on your temps~ But it was surely at below freezing points here which is a first in a long time for us.

Its awesome that you have managed to lose the weight you needed to and continue to keep it off for the most part over this past year. I know that we both had a struggle there. I did finally get on the scale 2 weeks ago since before Christmas and was only up about 2-3 pounds which was a WHOLE lot better than last year at this same time. I did manage to lose most of that weight too that I incurred, but am still just a few small pounds away due to the few that I gained from Christmas. But looks like we are both on a good track.

Continue to keep up the great work that you are doing for yourself, and keeping yourself accountable by continuing to stay on track and check in each week!.. Thank you so much for checking in and letting us know how things are going for you!

@PoliteOcean

You are right about certain carbohydrates are good for you. About 75% of my diet is fruit and vegetables. Now most of my carbohydrates are from fruit. In the past I have used some free websites that allow to track foods you eat and give a breakdown of sugar, carbohydrates and protein. This helped a lot in portion control. Over the last year I have really worked hard keeping portion control for rice, pasta and bread. Here in the Northeast French bakeries and bagels were always a temptation. I have pretty much eliminated French bread and bagels except in rare occasions. Fortunately I am not a junk food person. But eating bread and large portions of pasta and rice will add weight. Enjoy your week

Thanks Ocean. In the meanwhile, there was the funeral. And my mother didn't loose the chance to behave like s*** all day. She really lacked respect towards the religious functions and also towards me. She put all her effort in trying to show the loving mother/sibling facade, and for doing this better, she pictured ME as the disrespectful one. AND she spent all the time trying to kiss me, hug me, talk to me, walk with me, sit with me, hold hands... She knows I hate this - and her - we don't have a relationship, it was just facade. I just wanted to be left alone at my grand dad funeral, is it too much to ask? It was a horrific day sad

I felt awful the night before my last workout, thought about cancelling, figured I would wait until morning and then decide. That morning I felt pretty good. I would say it was the first workout where I put in a good level of effort/reached a good exertion level, something closer to what I would do during good periods even if the output didn't look the same.

Then I stepped outside and my lymph node which was kind of acting up during my workout but was tolerable flared up big time. Haven't had it that bad for quite a while. Naproxen took it down as soon as it took effect though, I was surprised as lately when I take them it helps with the referred pain but it doesn't take away the lymph node swelling totally.

Since then I've been back to having zip for energy and feeling pretty crappy at times. We got a bunch of snow on Friday though and are now in a cold snap (although not -70s where I heard some parts were getting - yikes! even with the temps now, it's quite cold but not getting to the extremes that I have dealt with) I did have some plans, but I figured it was better just to stay in all weekend.

Hey there Affy... Sorry to hear that happened to you especially after you felt so good?!... It was great that you were able to workout to your desired level! But, rather crappy that it all left you feeling the way that it did.

How have you been feeling over the past week? Any better?

Sounds like you did the right thing by staying in and not doing much! And I can't say I blame you!... That is really cold.. If its below 50F, I am already freezing! lol...

It will be so nice when it warms up a bit.. but then I know there are allergy issues too for some?!. ...I personally just don't care for Colder weather which is funny since I grew up in the North and spent the first half of my life there.

Hopefully this past week has found you feeling better than it started! Thanks for checking in and keeping us up to date on how things have been going for you!

**What things would you like to do for yourself, work on, or Get accomplished this month?

I need to get with my creditors and let them know I have no income until March. I had my first appointment with my counselor and we set up a crisis plan. Today I have a general practitioner visit where I can talk them about being exhausted all the time and maybe have them look at my knees.

**What is something Good that happened for you over this past week?

Well,, my counseling visit was supposed to be cancelled due to snow, but my counselor and I were the only ones who didn't get the memo, so we did the appointment anyway.

**What have been your "highlights" this past week? What are your weekend plans?

Talking to my parents online, getting online to play video games, watching Rurouni Kenshin (the old anime series).
My weekend plans are church and having breakfast with friends on Sunday. May go to Walmart to pick up hanging files and try out ibotta.

**What things would YOU like to talk about or share with us?! WE want to hear from YOU!! smiley

I hope we get to do another board game day soon.... I have another 4 day weekend all to myself coming up over Valentines day. Trying to decide what to marathon &/or work out of during that time.

@PoliteOcean. The past two weeks have been rough. I had to lay off my two caretakers because I couldn't afford to pay them. Secondly, my insurance coverage changed at the beginning of the year but I didn't find out until today (Feb 6th), so I had to cancel a doctor's appointment. This also means that I am unable to start my new round of treatments that I was so excited about. I have somone helping me with the insurance issues. I almost ruined a batch of bone broth, but I was still able to save it from disaster. It tastes yummy. I live in the back of a condo complex on the second floor, and a lot times delivery drivers get lost and have to call me. I don't them I'm disabled because I look normal. I think there is still a lot of ignorance in our society about disabled people and chronic pain patients. Other than that, my life is great.

@Regmo

Hey there!

I'm so sorry to hear that things have been so rough for you this past week... I'm sure the insurance issues and concerns didn't help much!..I hope that someone can help you get that all sorted out especially so that you can continue on with your treatments that you were so obviously excited about and waiting for! I'm glad that you have found someone that can at least help you with the insurance part, because that can be so very tricky when you don't know much about it and it can all be so confusing at times.

Its great that you manage to sve your "bone broth" and that you enjoyed it!...

I feel I would have to agree that there is still that "stigma" about Disabled people. Especially if its something that is "invisible" to everyone else, but you are the one that has to go through it and deal with it. But hopefully that will continue to get better as more awareness is spread!

I can relate to you, as I live on a road that is out of the way as well.. so I have to always explain to others how to get to my home... and then to top it off I share the same "house/address number" with another person who lives in my same subdivision complex.. But the street names our different, but needless to say I have an issue or two here and there...

Thank you so much for checking in this past week and letting us know how things have been going for you! Be sure to check back and let us know how everything continues to go for you.
