**ANY & ALL "NEWBIES" ARE WELCOME TO SHARE!!**
**This past week went well for the most part.... Continued to stay on track with everything (need to try to increase my water and sleep more) of course...Some mild anxiety has been up and down the past day or two, which I'm trying to deal with...... Called and made some appointments that I've been procrastinating with (But need to continue to work on getting the rest made in the coming week ahead)........All my Fitness classes went pretty great this past week and were well attended with participants...So I am happy about that and that it will continue~
** Got to spend time with my son this week, which was pretty nice and made me happy since I rarely get to see him much because he works alot.... The weather has been fairly decent and sunny even though the temps have been much colder. I managed to get my dog out and about a few times this week. I'm trying to increase his activity more so he doesn't get depressed from being in so much during the winter season....
**Our Fridge has been out of sorts (The freezer works fine).. but I just went grocery shopping (all my healthy foods of course) and now had to go buy a mini-fridge to stuff everything in until someone can come and look at it and prayerfully fix it...( Which is frustrating since nobody had returned our call as of yet...
)...NOT cool either since I just bought a bunch of produce, eggs, etc...etc..
So will see how this all goes~
**My husbands Birthday is on Sunday, so we are going to start celebrating today of course since its Saturday and we can do more....We will have a little get-together at my house in the afternoon with gifts etc... and then I plan to take him to dinner at one of his favorite places for his favorite "dish" later in the evening....... But first my intention is to start the morning attending the Local Bi-monthy POUND Fitness event. Its going on its 2-Year Anniversary Celebration and I will be leading some Tracks as well with the instructor who runs the event.~ Then hopefully end with some relaxation of some sort~
ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND EVERYONE!~ ![]()
@PoliteOcean Have fun celebrating the birthday, and good luck with your fridge!
@PoliteOcean Hiya there, Ocean! Bunnie feels glad to see you! <3
Glad to hear that most of the week went well for you, but sorry for the other part that wasn't so good :( It was great of you keeping on track of being healthy and doing most of your scheduled routines! It's great that your fitness classes went so well--I hope Bunnie can attend some of your classes, too :P It sounds fun! But sorry to hear about your anxiety, it can be hard to deal with, but I applaud you for doing so, you are a warrior <3
Spending time with loved ones is really great! I hope you had a great time with your son, it can be hard to meet with family members when they are busy, but it makes times together much more special. <3 Ahhh glad to hear that doggo is getting much exercise, I understand why the cold months can be depressing :( I hope the doggo is fine, and your family, too during the cold months? It's great to hear though that sunny days are coming back where you are. :)
Eeek--I see that the fridge isn't cooperating well with you, sorry about that! I hope that a repairman will come soon to check and fix it! The food needs a cozy place to stay for you to be able to eat them. :P
Oooop a birthday! I love birthdays! Advanced happy birthday to your husband! I hope he enjoys his special day, and that you also get to enjoy the day with him! <3
Wow, a fitness event! :O I am amazed that Ocean is doing lots of fitness activities, I hope it goes well for you, and that it would be fun for everybody! Enjoy your weekend, too, Ocean xx
@BunnieLuv
Hey there Bunnie!.. Thank you for being so kind and supportive!....
Yes I really enjoyed spending time with my son, its always great to get the opportunity to see him as well as my other family. I wish it were more often, but I'm grateful when the chances present themselves!
The Fridge FINALLY got fixed! YAY!... The only thing I had to replace was my lettuce lol... not too bad since it wasn't too expensive!...
My husband did in fact have a lovely day that he truly enjoyed! I'm so glad that he had a great birthday~
Also I LOVE when "Bunnies" come and join my classes!! lol
Maybe some day you might!...
Thanks again Bunnie! Take care!
@PoliteOcean *waves at Ocean* hiii Ocean, no worries, Bunnie is glad to help in this lovely community <3
Ahhh I'm so glad to hear that the fridge was fixed! Finally, a cozy place for food~ And glad to hear that you had a wonderful time with your son and your husband, I hope that there will be more fun times for you and for your family! Ooop and Bunnie will maybe try getting more activities ahaha maybe if you find a bunny in your class--that's me :P
Take care Ocean xx
@PoliteOcean Ugh fridges being out of order is such a hassle. We replaced ours when I was still recovering from having my wisdom teeth out. I was quite annoyed about it! Of course that was with warm weather too, couldn't just go out in the winter (that was the furnace that stopped working in December). I was especially frustrated as the fridge was actually working, but the freezer part was not and there was no way to separate the too, so we didn't want to leave it running as we were concerned about the safety issues of it running constantly. I do like the new fridge we go though and the water dispenser is nice to have!
@AffyAvo
Oh my goodness.. YESS it was VERY annoying.. I had to get a mini-fridge and put it in our garage, and had to keep running up and down the stairs for my food lol....Oh well...... The only thing I had to replace was my Lettuce which for some reason became "Frozen, wilted, and then eventually started to turn brown".. Thought that was really odd the way the whole thing happened.. Good thing it wasn't anything too expensive that i had to replace....But its finally fixed now! Yay!
Its funny you mentioned the "Furnace".... oddly enough the same time our Fridge went out, My mom and stepdads "Furnace" went out.... at that point I felt like I really shouldn't be complaining about the Fridge since a furnace is so much worse (in the winter months) as well WAY more expensive to replace!~
Its great that you are enjoying your new fridge. Ours is about 10 years old already.... I was in awe of it when we first got it, I'm sure the Newer ones are Waaayyyy NICER!
Hi
I've been ill all the week, so it was pretty a mess ahahah I'm getting better though.
Good news: I'm keeping up with my hobbies
@GhostlyLilian sorry you were sick, but good that you were able to continue your hobbies despite it
@GhostlyLilian Hi there, Lilian! It's so nice to see you again here! <3
Sorry to hear that you've been ill, I hope that you get well soon! Eat lots of healthy food, warm soup and stay hydrated. Being sick sucks :x But yayy, great news with your hobbies! <3
Take care always xx
@GhostlyLilian
Oh no Lillian! So sorry to hear!....I hope that you are getting and feeling better!
I'm glad to hear that you are able to continue keeping up with your hobbies though.. At least your body and energy is allowing you to do "something" so thats good!
Feel better soon! And thank you so much for checking in!
Busy week but pretty much staying on track. Still seem to have more of an appetite this time of year. Still eating healthy, but have to watch the carbohydrates this time of year as I do not burn as many calories. Starting part 2 of cleaning things out to get more organized, did a good job last fall, but more works needs to be done. I like to think of myself as a minimalist and follow that way of living, but regular removing unwanted items keep things under control. I guess my goal for January was to keep exercising, which I do. The weather has been good to get outside and exercise daily. Even the temperatures have been good for this time of year, People in warmer areas, may find lower 30sF is too cold to get outdoors, but for me I do not mind it. Enjoy your weekend.
@sail46 Hi sail, so nice to see you check-in this week! <3
I hope that even if the week became busy, it was still a good week for you? <3 It may be hard to get off the "too-much eating" phase but I applaud you for still managing to eat healthy and manage food intake!
Ahh--cleaning. Certainly does wonders to the mind! I hope it's going well for you, and that you be able to clean up the place the way you want it too. Minimalism sure is a great lifestyle, Bunnie actually wants to pursue it, too. Still got a long way, but I am happy for you living it. Imo, it clears up the mind. <3
Exercising regularly is a good goal! I hope you will be able to continue exercising--it is good for the mind and the body. :) I'm glad that the weather is perfect for you to exercise. Take care always xx
@sail46
Hey there Sail!..
I know what you mean.. My appetite has been up and down going back and forth right now... But its great that you are continuing to stay on the Healthy Track and doing the best you can. It can be so easy to get stuck in doors this time of year, and just let everything go and not have a routine to help you stay on track.
Awesome job on continuing to get things done and cleaned out... I've been trying to do the same little by little. Its really only me and my husband, but I do have a lot of stuff. I try to downsize whereever and whenever I can.. I always tell him we just need a BIGGER house! lol...
I think its even more awesome that despite this fridgid temps right now, that you are doing an excellent job on getting out and about and keeping up with exercise and activity! I don't know how you do it!. lol... I do love being outside, I just can't do the Cold weather like I used to... The older I get and the longer I've been living south, I just can't anymore lol.... But I think its pretty amazing that you can, and that it doesn't bother you so much! Keep up the great work that you are doing!
Thank you so much for checking in this week and letting us know how things are going for you!
Another week similar to last week. I ate well, a few too many treats, and too much alcohol (extra calories-wise, not getting drunk though). I missed two days of my regular exercise again this week due to my yoga teacher being ill, and my friend that milks for me could not come the day I do my weights workout at the Y. I have been trying to get back to my regular exercise schedule for 3 weeks now, but only managed it one week due to these kinds of cancellations. Very frustrating! My treat this week was I went hiking at a new park on Monday. It was freezing cold but a very pretty park on a lake and I enjoyed it.
@SadMe70 Hi there, glad to see you during this week's check-in! Glad to hear that you ate well these past days, but I understand the frustation with not being able to get on your normal schedule of exercise. :( Sorry to hear about your yoga teacher and your friend! I hope next week they will be able to come and I hope that your teacher gets better. Let's hope for the best that next week will be a great week to come back to your regular schedule of exercise!
That was a nice treat for yourself! <3 It sounds like a lovely park, I hope you enjoyed it! <3 Take care always xx
@SadMe70
Hey there Sad!
Don't feel so bad, with my husbands birthday this past week and a coupon that I had for some 'FREE' Chick-Fila Cookies that expired this week, I over-did it a bit myself~ It happens.. theres just no way that any of us can be perfect or even pretend to be lol...I try to tell myself that one slip won't undo all the hard work that I do tend to put in from week-to-week.... but I think our minds try to tell us differently.
So sorry to hear that your regular workout routine has continued to be disrupted, but feel good that you Did manage to get one of those weeks in for yourself and that because of you LOVE of Hiking, that you are still managing to get in a great workout. Hiking is NOT for everyone, but YOU in fact Love it and how it makes you feel. And thats a great thing.. Its really nice that you managed to find another new park to go to and enjoy! And that there is Healthy 'All around" physically, mentally and emotionally it serves each for you!
ANNNNDDD... Despite the weather and frigid temps, YOU made it happen!... Thats a WIN in my book! So glad that you enjoyed, found time for yourself, enjoyed your hike, and didn't let anything keep you from it! Continue to keep up the great work that you are doing Sad!
Thank you so much for checking in this week and letting us know how things have been for you!
I quit my job due to many reasons, and this week was my first week of unemployment. I definitely spent my share of time relaxing and not doing much. It is very weird. I definitely need a job to keep me structured.
My friend who lives on the other coast disappeared. We were messaging almost every day for the past few months. He wanted to talk the other week (probably about us), so we scheduled a time for a phone call last weekend. That didn't pan out and he's been MIA since. Last message I got from him is him saying he's a complete mess, and he received my postcard. That was Tues. He hasn't read or responded to my msgs since. I am worried and fixated on trying to find out if he's ok. I hope that he's just blowing me off, and he's not in danger.
That's my week! 😬
Hugs to everyone here! I sometimes rely on the anominity of the Internet at times like this to just talk and not feel self conscious and taking up too much of other's time. So thank you all if you've read this far.
@blueCoconut4085 Hi there, coconut! It's so nice to see you in our lovely community! <3
Being unemployed is indeed a weird phase of life. Sorry that you had to quit your job, though :( It was good that you were able to relax for your first week of being unemployed, I think it's a highly deserved break for you! But I understand that it can leave you feeling lost especially that for some time you had a specific schedule you follow during the week. I hope the rest of the days go well for you!
Sorry to hear about your friend, I understand why you're worried, and I do hope the same--that he's safe. Let's hope for the best, and maybe if you wait a while, maybe he will be able to respond just to let you know that he's alright? <3
Thank you for the hugs to the community! I understand why the anonymity makes you comfortable, you are always free to share your feelings in here, and if you want a listener you can also PM lots of good listeners in here, you can also PM me. Take care xx
@blueCoconut4085
Hey there! Thank you so much for checking in this past week and letting us know how things have been going. We are always glad to hear form you and EVERYONE! And you are NEVER a bother!...
Quitting a job can be a challenging time, but, if you know in your heart that it wasn't a good situation to be in, and it makes you a better "you" for leaving it, then that can be a great thing. And only you can decide that for yourself. If this is a positive change for you that is awesome for you!.... Its good that you know that you do need some structure, and hopefully you will surely find the job/position that works for you!
I do hope that whatever is going on with your friend, that they are doing ok whereever they are! I wish you and them all the best! Please keep us informed and let us know that everything is ok!
Huge Hugs to you! Thank you so much for checking in this past week! Please check back and keep us up to date on how things are going for you!
was a weird week, I set my main goal to play fewer games and use this time for being more active so I can lose some weight, like my goal was, managed to downsize this gaming time and do more meaningful activities, but than I eat so much food , what doesn't help me at all by achieving my goal, so in other words I exchanged less playing with more food, because I tend to be an emotional eater, so because I got overwhelmed by not being able so much too numb with gaming I did it with food :/ kinda disappointed
@heartfulSong1012, hi there, it's so nice to see you check-in this week! <3
Sorry to hear that you weren't able to do what you wanted for this week! I understand that eating can be comfortable sometimes, so I understand why it replaced gaming as your activity for this week. I also understand why that left you feeling disappointed, if it were me I'd probably feel the same way. But it's alright, progress isn't a straight line, just because you weren't successful in doing things this week, doesn't mean you won't ever get to do it! <3 Would it be helpful to set small goals for this week when it comes to your goals? Like setting a time for short exercise routines that aren't much tiring? But I am proud of you for wanting to change your everyday routine to a healthy one. <3 <3 <3
Take care always xx
I don't think I actually shared over in this section yet about my last workout. I had toyed with cancelling it due to my fatigue, but stuck with it. During my trainer was a little concerned, I was ok with the strength aspects though, I was just worn out. So we increased my breaks and I stuck it out. Afterwards I felt horrible. I also felt really cold, but the temperature was at -1C so that was a bit confusing, especially as it seemed really cold when I left. I never actually checked the weather that day, it turned out when I left it was about -20C and it rapidly heated up. Guess I need to keep a better eye on the weather, although I did know we were going from a cold snap to warmer temps, I just didn't realize it was gonig to happen in the span of ~3 hours that morning.
I had a nap that night (maybe a few that day, can't really remember) and slept a long time that night. Still am feeling fatigued, but my recovery this week was better than last. Hopefully it will just keep getting easier.
@AffyAvo, hi there, it's nice to see you check-in this week! <3
It must have been hard for you this past week due to fatigue. :( I understand why your trainer must have been concerned, but it was very strong of you to continue the workout! Sorry though that afterwards you felt horrible. :(
The weather can be very confusing nowadays! Sometimes it will get hot so soon, and then cold suddenly, and then will rain, and afterwards become sunny! This kind of fast weather change makes us prone to sicknesses so watch out for your health, please! <3
Glad to hear that you had long sleep, I am hoping that you have rejuvenating sleep the next days. <3 It can be hard to recover from fatigue but I'm glad that you're recovering. Take care always xx
@PoliteOcean
**Hey there everyone! How have you been doing over the past week? I have been doing okay in general, there's been ups and down, feeling upset, anxious and numb quite a lot.
**This is our "LAST" Check-in for the month of January! How do you feel this past month has gone for you over-all? I can't believe January is almost over. It started okay but it just got worse. It's quite scary.
**Can you name "One" goal that you set for yourself and achieved for this month? To exercise more, and I do :)
**What is "One" thing that you did for "Self-Care" OR.... Accomplished this week? I gave myself a break from listening to look after myself.
**What have been your "highlights" this past week? What are your weekend plans? Exercising was good and my weekend is over but I went through with all my plans.
@peacefullistener22
Hey there! So lovely to hear from you this past week!
Sorry to hear that you have had what seems like some rough patches, and that you've been feeling upset and anxious. I know that is not easy to feel that way and that it can be quite challenging to deal with.... And I'm sorry to hear that January got worse for you...
Its really great though that you made some goals and plans for yourself to exercise more and that you are accomplishing those goals!! That is pretty terrific! I do hope that by doing so, that it will start to help you feel better some over-all!?!
Its good that you gave yourself a break when you felt that you needed one, and realized that a Self Care break was needed in order to take care of yourself and look after yourself more!
And great job on going through with the plans that you had set for yourself! I hope that February will be a much brighter month for you ahead! Keep up the great work that you are doing for yourself and thank you so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you've been doing! Be sure to check back and let us know how things are going for you!
@PoliteOcean
Heya, Ocean! The past week has been alright! A bit of ups, a bit of downs but not too dramatic overall. Well see about tomorrow- I have an online test in the morning, and it could go one of two ways- I pass or I fail. No big deal if I fail, I can pay and resist it again anytime, but itd just be longer until I reach my end goal. And I want to reach the end goal ASAP!! (Not going to say what it is haha)
Ooh, one goal I set for myself this month (very late in the month though lol) was to get up at a certain time each day and spend some time alone, in the peace and quiet. Its been great so far! Ive gotten up, drink at least one glass of lemon water, did my morning pages- its harder than I thought to do lol- 5-10mins of meditation, yoga (I follow the videos by Yoga with Adriene on YouTube- shes great!) and then read for a bit. By then, I might take a little nap if Im too tired, or get on with the rest of my day as per usual. I hope to keep this up as a new lifestyle, well see how it goes!
Its so ridiculously hot recently (Ive not stopped complaining lol) and I cant handle it with no aircon!!! Glad I dont have work tomorrow, but not so glad that I still have no aircon at home! Well, it means lots of water for me so I suppose thats a positive.
Im super tired now, so Ill be off to bed. Take care! xx
@rebecca947
Hey there Rebecca!
Its tough to have ups and downs throughout the week, but its good that it wasn't anything too "dramatic" as you stated?! Let us know how things go with your testing! ( I won't ask what the "end" goal is)! lol.

I think its really great that you set some goals for yourself this month, whether it was "late" or not... the fact remains is that you took the time to do it, ANNNNDDD... that you are accomplishing that goal! Great for you!!.... I like the idea of what your doing, getting up early and basically getting yourself "centered" to face the day ahead through some basic meditation time, Yoga and other healthy rituals. While also giving yourself the alone time that you need.....I also am intrigued by the 'Lemon Water" ritual!... I have actually heard ALOT pof great things about doing this, (including weight loss etc...).. I tried doing it myself, but didn't give myself much time to do it because my schedule with things can be really crazy at times... Between classes, and taking my morning meds etc... that I basically got off track with the Lemon Water since it wasn't something I normally would do?!...
So you will have to keep us informed and up to date on how that is all working out for you!... Inquiring minds (like myself) lol.. want to know!
Good luck on continuing to follow through with all of these rituals for yourself~ And thank you so much for checking in and letting us know how things have been going for you!
@PoliteOcean
I passed the online test! :D means Ill be booking the next and last test near the end of February, as thats what my mum wants me to do. Makes sense, so I hope I feel ready by then to sit it.
Oh, I didnt know lemon water had health benefits! :o I just decided to add the lemon in to add more flavour to water 😂 I find it hard to drink water plain in the morning, and forcing myself to drink one glass of it in one go. The lemon helps add some taste to it, and it usually works well. But now Ive resorted to putting the lemon water in the fridge overnight, so drinking it cold first thing in the morning is a great wake up call and tastes great haha but Ill research into the health benefits and keep track and see how it goes! Ill for sure let you know :)
hey ocean!
How have you been doing over the past week?
the past week was a rollercoaster of events and emotions, but thats life!
**This is our "LAST" Check-in for the month of January! How do you feel this past month has gone for you over-all?
honestly, depends. regarding health, it was awful as i was really sick for 3 weeks and missed all my exams and now have to re-take them all like next week! But i spend lots of time finding out more about myself.
**Can you name "One" goal that you set for yourself and achieved for this month?
definitely doing my best at school! i really worked hard for school this month.
**What is "One" thing that you did for "Self-Care" OR.... Accomplished this week?
i stayed away from people who are no good to me or make me feel unhappy and unmotivated in life!
**What have been your "highlights" this past week? What are your weekend plans?
my highlights were my english exam which was so much fun, and that i got so much better in my worst subjects! and my plans for this weekend are partying a bit and studying for school
@AveryLove
Hey there Avery!...
Sorry to hear that the last week has been a roller-coaster for you!.. I can totally relate to those feelings!....I do hope that things are going a little better for you today!
Also so sorry to hear that you weren't feeling well, (which seems like for quite some time)!? My goodness I hope that you are doing and feeling better finally? Thats along time to not feel well.~
...But its really great for you that you turned the negative into a positive and focused on finding out more about yourself! Way to stay positive!![]()
Awesome job at working really hard at school this past month! Good for you! Continue to keep up the great work, its really important to get that knowledge in!
Way to go on your "Self Care"! Staying away from toxic situations or even people can do a world of good for your over-all health and well-being!
Congrats to you on doing so much better at subjects that may not have considered to be your strongest! Thats really awesome for you! (I personally was NOT a math person by any means when I was younger) and it was just surely not a Strong subject for me lol.... I know I'd fail now if I had to do it all over again lol... But that is AMAZING for YOU! Continue to keep up the great work that you are doing!
Try not to Party to hard!! lol..
And good luck on your studies!! Thank so much for checking in this week and letting us know how things are going for you!
