🌞 This past week was productive.... I got back on track with "some" things since coming back from my vacation the week before. My sleep was a little better, I got my vitamins ordered online so that I can continue with those, I got various appointments done and out of the way, and got back on track with all my exercise and activity.

🌴 This week has been SUPER Warm here... well into the 90's. Any outdoor activity and walking had to wait until a little later in the evenings. But got in LOTS of great "Pool-time". As well as getting back to All of my Aqua classes, and Zumba class. I met all my step-goals and activity requirements that I set for myself.

🌊 This weekend so far has been filled with getting up early to get in workouts,... more pool-time,... some shopping and getting outdoors to enjoy the Summer weather (even if its hot),...Movie nights,... and getting ready for the 4th of July Holiday this coming week. I even put my Pup in the pool (on the Float) for the first time ever. He seemed to enjoy it lol...

Would you feel comfortable posting a pic of your pup on the float in the pool? I'd love to see that and I'm sure other 7cupers would love to see it too. :)

Here’s how the past week went. After 3 weeks, I think I can see some improvement on my chest wound with the Helichrysum Italicum. It should still be making better progress. I could either try a new substance or see my dermatologist. My dermatologist was absent for the entire month of June. I don’t have any transportation right now. Monday Yolanda called and said she couldn’t be my caretaker because her private clients needed her for more hours. Monday I started to read my theology book for the first time in two months. I read 5 times this week for 15 minutes each. It’s about the early church and Christians who were martyred for their faith. Thursday I had someone named Natashia who was supposed to show up for an interview but they never showed up. I called them twice but they didn’t answer. My agency sent me a new list of 8 potential caretakers to call. Friday morning Dennis was yelling at Alan to stop doing what he was doing. Leslie, Alan and Amanda have no medical training, yet they are in charge of sick people. I’ve been keeping my toiletry bag in my bedroom so Dennis won’t take it. I still have eye fatigue and I don’t know how to get rid of it. I take supplements every day for my eyes. The state government is introducing a surveillance system to keep track of my caretaker. I don’t know if I’ll be able to get anyone to work for me. My biggest problem besides eye fatigue is the random loud noises around the house. I never know when my concentration is going to be disrupted. I don’t know what’s going to happen to my art history or poetry reading time. It’s exasperating. One thing I like about Leslie is she is concerned about keeping the temperature in the house comfortable at all times.

@Regmo

Hey there Regmo~ Thats good that you feel you are finally seeing some improvement with the wound. I suppose you could always try something different. The part that is concerning for me would be how long you stated the wound has actually been there..... Thats too bad that your dermatologist has been gone for so long! Wow, a month is a long time. I wonder if maybe they have another one helping out in his/her place? Or even if they have a practitioner that helps out.... Honestly, I personally tend to see a Practitioner for many of my appointments as it always seems I'm able to get in quicker, (and out quicker too). And don't have to wait a ton of time to get an appointment! Hopefully you will continue to see improvement with the route you are taking. Thats too bad to hear that Yolanda didn't work out for you. But its great that your agency is on top of sending you a list of potential caregivers. Hopefully you will hear from one soon and things will work out better next time. Thats great for you that you were finally able to get in some reading time. I know how much you enjoy doing that and trying to keep up with your studies. That is so odd that none of the people in charge of handling the home that you live in have no type of training. I'm not sure what the whole situation is or the background there. I suppose anyone can live anywhere. But if they are getting money to provide any type of medical services then to me that would suggest "fraud" of some sort?! I thought I remember you telling me once that Leslie was at least a nurse??.....I know of "CNA's" (Certified Nurse's Aides) who end up running their own businesses by opening up a "home" of some sort, and take in a couple of people to care for. And I suppose even that is not a requirement depending on the situations... (meaning, anyone can help "aide" someone, if they aren't actually providing any "in-depth" medical care). But again, I'm not fully aware of the actual situation of the home you are in. Thats good if Dennis is staying away from your toiletries...(didn't he take it from your room the last time)??..... Hopefully you found a much better hiding spot! Not sure if you have seen an eye doctor for your eye fatigue? Hopefully when things come together better with getting a caretaker for yourself, you can set up an appointment to get that checked out. Not sure if you wear any type of "lenses" at all... but maybe that is an issue as well? Afterall, you do like to read alot. Maybe that might play apart in how your eyes are feeling? They say we need to get our eyes examined at least once a year! I am totally behind on my own exam. And need to get something set up for myself as well. I wear glasses for TV, and night-driving.... but Now I notice I even need them more during the daytime driving as well. I guess it all goes along with the older we get, the more we have to keep things updated for ourselves! Thats good that Leslie is at least staying on top of temperature control! I can't stand being hot/cold.... Its certainly nice to have things just right when it comes to that. How have your night-sweats been? Thanks for checking in this week to share, and for continuing to keep us up to date on how things are going for you. Please let us know how things continue with the caregiver search. Good Luck!

@PoliteOcean Leslie had to take an 80 hour certification course to open up a board and care home. She's certified by the state of California. Technically, this is a retirement home where old people go to die, but I have a bright future ahead of me. I might live another 30 years or so. I'm disabled but I'm not retired.

Hi, Ocean,

HEY EVERYONE~ How are you today?! Eh.

🌴 This is our "FIRST" Check-in for the "Month of JULY".... What things are you looking forwards to the most in this new month ahead?! What would you like to focus on or accomplish for yourself? I'd like to find a job. I've got to focus on the job hunt and applying for more scholarships.

🌊We will celebrating INDEPENDENCE DAY (the 4TH OF JULY) here in the USA in the coming week.... What are your plans or how will you celebrate?...If you don't celebrate this holiday, how will you spend your weekend?! I'd like to see the fireworks display but don't know if I'm able from here. I'm going to do the same thing I always do this weekend, do activities to improve my mental health, take care of my kitty and play with her, work out, meditate, push myself to study Hawaiian.

🌞 JUST FOR FUN: NAME "ONE" THING you shouldn't have to do when you are on Vacation!...

🌴What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?...... How were you able to work through your challenges?! I'm still working through my struggles. I'm not going to accept the student loan I was offered. The interest rate is ridiculous. So I am back to worrying about affording grad school.

🌊 What is something that "YOU" want to talk about, add or share with us this week?! ....WE want to hear from YOU!~

@purpleTree4652

Hey there Tree~

I admire your goals in continuing on your job search. That is really great that you are so focused with that and wanting to do better for yourself! That is awesome that you will focus on applying for more scholarships as well. Hopefully all of that will prove to be beneficial to you! Good luck, positive vibes! You've got this

Hopefully you (and your kitty) can get to see the fireworks display this year!... I've never had a cat, so I'm not sure how they react to things like that? Or if they even react at all (in comparison to dogs that is).

I think your plan for the weekend sounds like a really awesome one.... its always a good day to work on improving your mental health & meditating, taking care of our pets & playing with them (a favorite of mine as it also ties into our mental health!),... as well as working on goals and interests! Keep up the great work you are doing!

I think if you decided against the student loan, then you made the right choice for yourself. I don't blame you for not wanting to pay ridiculous interests rates. No way!.. But don't fret, when there is a will, there is a way. And I can feel your determination to succeed in your goals. You are going to do great things. Keep going... and you will find a way!

Thank you so much for checking in this week and continuing to share with us. And letting us know how things are going for you. Please continue to keep us updated!

My story is too long to type, but I’ve been through *** for years. A month ago I finally was almost to the light at the end of the tunnel. Then my world crashed. I’m struggling to sleep, eat, etc. I was having amazing success launching a new business. Now I can’t even focus enough to know what day it is. Prayers and positive vibes please! I have to make it to the other side!

HEY EVERYONE~ How are you today?! I'm ok today. I took some time off for the long weekend so not having to work helps my mood. If I could just stop thinking about what I have to do when I get back it would be great. Anyway, I'm not going anywhere or doing anything, just hanging out around home.

🌴 This is our "FIRST" Check-in for the "Month of JULY".... What things are you looking forwards to the most in this new month ahead?! I'm not sure what I'm looking forward to....I do know I have a list of things I'd like to try to accomplish....Not that I'm trying to hurry through the summer months, but I guess in all reality, I'm looking forward to the month being over because I have a 2 week road trip planned starting the 6th of August. Get to see my Grandkids....

What would you like to focus on or accomplish for yourself? I really need to buckle down on my finances and budget so I can explore other options and come up with a plan as to whether or not I am able to leave my high stress job behind....I keep saying I'm going to do it, but never do....I think its out of fear of change....Except for the fact that I'm super burned out with my work, I have a system and routine financially that is working for me....if I cannot figure out my finances and budgeting to be able to leave this job, I have to find a way to continue....right now, I feel the place isn't good for my well being

🌊We will celebrating INDEPENDENCE DAY (the 4TH OF JULY) here in the USA in the coming week.... What are your plans or how will you celebrate?...If you don't celebrate this holiday, how will you spend your weekend?! I don't really "celebrate" the holiday....I'm not really a people person. I'd rather sit home on my porch playing board games and cards with my girlfriend....

🌞 JUST FOR FUN: NAME "ONE" THING you shouldn't have to do when you are on Vacation!...Think about work....

🌴What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?......I had a real tough week at work. Without going to great detail, my immediate supervisor was relieved of his duties, and I have been tasked to "fix" the section until a new supervisor comes in....It has already been hinted that I could be in the running to be that supervisor. Lots of added stress and I'm not really sure I want to do it, but not sure what will happen if I say I don't want to do it....

🌊 What is something that "YOU" want to talk about, add or share with us this week?! ....WE want to hear from YOU!~ I have a lot on my mind that I would like to maybe get opinions and advice about. I am thinking of creating a few posts once I can figure out how to word them properly.

@CyclingThroughLife

Hello there Cycling!... Its great to hear from you again. Glad to hear that you are doing Ok. Its nice that you were able to take some time off and have a long weekend (and getting away from work stressors). I know too well myself how that can improve our mood!... I hope that you are able to continue enjoying your time off, and leave the work "at work"! Enjoy your time off!

I do remember you saying in one of your last check-ins that you were looking forwards to your getaway to see your Grandkids. How exciting for you. How many do you have? What things will you be doing together or have planned with them? I have no doubt that you will be able to enjoy your time with them and leave all your worries behind.

Its always nice to look ahead at our finances and take note of where we can do better and how we can manage to do that. Especially if we have goals that we want to accomplish. The thing to ask yourself is how bad do you really want to achieve that goal for yourself, and what steps you are going to take to get there. Then make a plan and implement them! However, sometimes, people also just go with the flow, and when they have "had enough" of a certain situation, they just take the plunge and get out of it. I have had to do that myself a time or two, (even though I'm a planner)... But its always worked out no matter which way I've had to go. Change can certainly be difficult. But sometimes its for the better when we don't or may not even realize it! And when you find yourself "burned out", thats when change is certainly "Necessary"! Otherwise it just affects your mental health and eventually your physical health as it all goes together. And you've already admitted that this place isn't good for your well-being. So you have your answer.... You can do this and whatever you set your mind to do. Just know that you've got to do whats BEST for YOU! Good Luck!

Sitting at home, playing games with loved ones, sounds like a perfect time to me! Enjoy!

We hope to hear more about whats "on your mind" and looking forwards to seeing more of your post! Please keep us updated on everything and how things are continuing to go for you. We are here to support you. And we thank you for checking in this week!

DISHES!! On my birthday or Mother's Day, I refuse to do DISHES.

🌴What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?...... How were you able to work through your challenges?!

Very sorry for forgetting to come in more and encourage others. Will try harder in the future. Here at home, struggling to tidy up... just have no energy... so working on that... picking one small space at a time and taking time to appreciate the calm organization is giving me.

🌊 What is something that "YOU" want to talk about, add or share with us this week?! ....WE want to hear from YOU!~

Maybe how important it is to reply to, and 'heart' other's comments to make sure we're really being supportive. Maybe talk about reaching out to people we haven't ever replied to and finding something positive to say. So, sending out love and hugs to anyone here who's never commented on my posts. I am anti-clicks, what are people doing here to encourage more constructiveness?

Hey there Stitch!.... (hahaha.. I like your answer) "Dishes"... Yes, I agree, I don't even like doing them at home let alone on a vacation!

Its nice to have you stop by and say hello to us this week.... I know we can't always have the best of days. And sometimes the simplest of things can surely be a struggle. (I know how that feels) today was one of those days for me too... low on energy, and lots to tidy up as well) lol.... But yes you have the right idea of simply doing one thing at a time. I know when I finally get done, how calm and relaxed I feel when it comes to a clean space and organization (OCD here)!... It certainly can improve our mental wellbeing. Good for you for knowing your limits, and taking one step at a time. It will come together. Keep up the great work.

Yes I agree... I feel its really important as well to support "everyone" here. Liking and hearting, can go a long way in someone else's day. Thank you for sharing your words of wisdom with everyone. And for taking some time to check-in this week. Please keep us updated on how things are continuing to go.

🌞 HEY EVERYONE~ How are you today?!

It has been a very challenging week for me but I'm doing as much as I can to make it better!

🌴 This is our "FIRST" Check-in for the "Month of JULY".... What things are you looking forwards to the most in this new month ahead?! What would you like to focus on or accomplish for yourself?

We are moving this month which, at the moment, is just very stressful (we haven't had our new lease approved yet) but once it is done I will feel much better. Hopefully we can do the actual moving bit with as little stress as possible.

🌞 JUST FOR FUN: NAME "ONE" THING you shouldn't have to do when you are on Vacation!...

Work!! It is so hard to fully not work in my position when we go on vacation! There are always things I am needed for.

🌴What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?...... How were you able to work through your challenges?!

I'm having a lot of issues with dread, which isn't unusual for me these last few years, but it's still always hard. Doing what I can, and my comfort lately has been the thought to "keep going."

Hey there Star, sorry to hear that you've had a challenging week, but its really great that you are staying positive to make it a better one!

Yes moving can be both a stressful (as well as an exciting) time. Hopefully things will continue to come together for you where they need to. I'm sure once they do, it surely will feel much better for you.

I agree! NO WORK PERMITTED on vacations!...I know depending on the type of work one has that sometimes it just can't be avoided. (I can recall a vacation not too long ago where my husband had to work at Mid-night online, while we were also on our Anniversary) 😕 Not fun...

Yeah its certainly not great to continue feeling "dread". Surely when we feel and experience that, we must identify the issue, deal with it, and do our best to keep moving forwards. (Sometimes easier said than done of course)... But its great that you are doing what you can, and that your own thoughts are telling you to "Keep going"!.. They say "Mind over Matter" right?! Good for you, keep up the great work there.

Thank you for sharing with us this week, and continuing to let us know how you are doing and how things are going for you. By the way, ....How was your family get-together?!
