(And ANY and ALL "NEWBIES"!)
**This week has actually gone by pretty fast.... My anxiety wasn't as bad this week, so thats always good. I had a day or two where I struggled a bit, but kept pushing through best I could~
**I did Zumba Twice this week, and also got to hit the Pool Twice this week as well. (Zumba Tues/Thurs) (Pool Weds/Fri).... And then Dvd's and walking 10 miles (in between).
**Kept on track with my eating... Did manage to stick within my Weight Watchers points this week.... (I try to watch going over on my "weeklies") But always manage to do great on my "daily's". Started incorporating Veggie Burger at lunch time to try something new. I haven't had them in a long time so it was a nice change to my usual Turkey wraps lol.
**And....Today is my REST DAY!.... Always happy for that. Although, I'd like to try and plan to make it to a "POUND CLASS" in my neighborhood Today at Noon!...So prayerfully I will get up and moving and make it on time. If you haven't seen this latest, fun, exercise craze,... check out the VIDEO HERE!
Hope everyone else has been having a good week! ![]()
Okay, so on Monday, I went to the dietician, and I found out that last month I lost 2 pounds. then on Weds I went to the endocrinologist and I found out that in 3 months i had lost 14 pounds. I am trying to eat more healthily but i have so many cravings. gah!
@HalliwellSister
Great work Halli... Thanks for checking in. Sounds like you are doing awesome work! Keep it up!
@PoliteOcean
Thank you! ^_^
This was my best week in a while. It's my first week at home since school got out. It's my second year working at a school, and last year I wasted the summer since it was so exciting to have the summer off for the first time in about 25 years. This year I am determined not to waste the summer, and hopefully to lose weight as well, while I'm away from all the temptations at school that caused my weight gain in the first place.
All week I got up reasonably early, did a little cardio, and spent the day doing productive things all day. Most days I was outside a lot of the day, doing manual stuff, and the combination of the sun and movement kept my mind busy. I was only badly depressed on Monday, and a little on Wednesday. I am eating well overall, and trying to keep my evening alcohol and candy consumption low. I will lose weight if I continue to spend my days active and keep my eating in check.
I have not been to the gym to test out my steroid shot with regard to neck and shoulder pain with weighlifting. I did a few pushups, plus have done a little bit of carrying heavy stuff outside at home. I think the shot has helped my neck some, though I haven't really put it to a test. I do not think it has helped my shoulder, but if my neck does well, I can ask about a second shot, this time in my shoulder directly.
@SadMe70
Wow..thats great Sad. It sounds like you've had an awesome week!.... Its great to see and to hear that you have been getting back on Track. I worked for the school system as well, I know we have to take great advantage of those 'Summer Months"! lol....... I am so proud of you! Keep up the great work that you are doing, you will get there. You sounds so determined and I know that you can do it! Thank you for checking in this week!
@PoliteOcean I have been doing great! Busy but relaxed at the same time. I have been trying to be more active too :)
I walked to the store yesterday and bought some groceries that weren't premade things. I'm going to try and get up the motivation to make TLTs for a few meals (Tempeh, lettuce, tomato sandwiches; the tempeh is smoky maple bacon). Here's hoping I'll be able to get up the courage and motivation to do the dishes and cook before my fresh ingredients go bad.
Ups and downs. Disappointing as I was hoping to have a really long good streak, but it's still certainly better than what it could and has been like in the past.
Had a good workout on Thursday, had some good hours after before the crash hit. Had a big temperature change from Thursday to yesterday, I think was a contributing factor for the need to cancel fun plans last night, I was way too sick to go out. Once I was starting to do better, a good friend saw I commented on facebook and therefore knew I was up and we had a great late night chat on the phone.
I'm going to go to a new local farmer's market today. I have a feeling it's going to focus more on the local aspect (a few small communities within a major city) rather than the farmer's aspect, but we'll see. Would be nice to get local produce but my hopes are not high. Either way it should be fun.
I haven't yet timed out how long it takes to walk to my trainer's new place, I hope to do that this week.
@AffyAvo
Sounds like another great check in Affy!... I know you had an issue last week with your condition, but Its good that you have felt somewhat better since then and have been able to get out here and there as well had the energy to talk with friends.
I know when we are "physically" dealing with things that even those small things can be too much....but sounds like you are doing as well as you can to push through.
I actually got out and got to the Farmers Market myself. It wasn't too bad. I was never able to go before since I was always to busy on the days that had them, but my schedule is a little better to get there now. I was hoping to get some "local" honey. I hear it was good for allergies............. Hopefully you will enjoy as well.
Thanks so much for checking in this week, and let us know in the next check in how that walk to your Trainer's house/gym went! (If you got the chance to test it by then). Keep up the great work.
@PoliteOcean
well last week wasn't great for me: more & more work stress, going back home tired & just sleep :l
@Alia2
Sorry to hear that ALIA...... And yes, sometimes REST is what we need. So Its good that you are trying to get some in! Nothing wrong with resting. I hope the next week is much better for you!..Thank you so much for checking in today!
@PoliteOcean
Thanks a lot Ocean 💪
So my biggest high this week, was that I found a sponser here and we started doing 2x a week chats. I have been more motivated and less depressed this week because of that. I also started treating myself with a couple of cups of coffee in the morning out on our patio and watching the wildlife. It's letting me start the day with a calmness. I also started on weeding and dead-heading some of my flower areas. A long way to go there, but it's begun. My lows this week were a day with no energy whatsoever, and I went on one of my social media apps and the first thing across my sight was from someone who hurt me, emotionally, very much. So I got sucked into looking up the current profiles of that group and realized how their lives seem to be going great, and I'm at one of my lowest points of all times. But I evenutally came to realize that living well and achieving my dreams and goals will be the best revenge. And no more looking at them, time for them to go off my feed.
@DragonFaerie
Wow Dragon! You've had quite a week!....
I agree that getting rid of the "Negative" from your life can surely help you in so many ways. And yes, perhaps it will be your best "revenge" is to come out on top and be better for it! Absolutely! And it sounds like you are taking some awesome steps to get there.
Sounds like you've also had a very productive week at trying to keep a "peaceful" mindset for yourself and taking some great strides by getting your sponser, weeding, enjoying the outdoors and such! ALL great steps to getting where you need to be mentally and emotionally. Keep up the great work that you are doing! This is a wonderful checkin. THank you for checking in today.
