🌞 This past week went pretty well, and a little busy but in a good way.... Started off with Father's Day weekend which went very well. Did some things that I haven't done in years. Went to the ZOO, & Went to the Drive-in Movie theater. I haven't been to either of those things in many years. Had such a great time and can't wait to go back to both. Had some appointments that I kept up with, and some of the last few appointments that I finally scheduled after putting off longer than I wanted to.

🏊 The weather continued to be pretty amazing this week and pretty hot. So got my activity in by continuing to Swim in the pool during the day, with walks in the evenings. And also relaxed and lounged too in the pool and listened to alot of great music during the afternoons which was excellent for my Mental health. Water intake has been really good this week. And Even sleep is doing much better as I started to lay down earlier. Working towards getting back to ZUMBA classes in the next week or two.

🌴 No major plans or intentions for the weekend ahead...the past week was so busy with little things throughout the week, that I will most likely just Chill this weekend, maybe lounge in the pool if weather permits, get in a walk to get my steps in, finish some light chores & watch some old movies in the evening~

Hey there Calm, thats good that your week went well for you overall and even better that you have one less medication to take. Despite feeling that you weren't mindful much this week, How awesome for you that you were able to meet many of your goals for yourself. Continue to keep up the great work on whatever you are doing to make that happen.

Also despite your struggles of the week, or overall, I think its great that you feel the Month itself has been okay for you All in all. And that you are already planning and in thoughts of your goals for the month ahead. Hopefully things will continue to improve for you where you desire in your life and all those "life issues" will start to resolve for you.

We appreciate you stopping by to Check-in this week and continuing to let us know how you are doing. And for sharing your week with us. Please continue to keep us updated. I know it isn't always easy, but regardless how you are feeling from week to week, we are here to continue to support you.

☀️How has the past week gone for you?

Up, down, all around.

🌴 We have ONE more Week left in this month of June...... What things would you like to do or accomplish in the last week ahead? What's something you are looking forwards to?!

Mini donuts and coffee at the beach, growing plants for my window box, going on a board game date.

I 🏊 What was Your Favorite part about this Month? What's the MOST Positive thing that happened for you or how would you "Sum" up the month for yourself?

Favourite part: in my hair.

MOST positive thing: set a damn boundary.

Sum up: it’s okay to start now.

🌞What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" this week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?!

Highlights: allowed a couch, hot plate, pan, venting, laundry, crying, long boarding, petting a dog, a $2 hat, hangers, using my voice, meditation, affirmations, declarations, volunteering, counselling and boundary setting, gardening, gaming.

Lowlights: poison oak, the dog was dirty, I’m worried about finances, inner work is hard, creeps on dating apps, noisy and stinky neighbour, my hair is weird, I need to learn how to cook or something because takeout is expensive and getting boring, I need to trust life and myself a lot more.

🌴What would "YOU" Like to talk about, add or share with us this week?! WE want to hear from YOU!

I’d like to add 2+2. It equals six.

Hello there...

Thats good for you that you are continuing to move along (up, down & all around as you say), while also enjoying what seems to be lots of the little things (donuts, coffee, plants, date nights) etc... Sounds like things are going quite well. And good for you for being able to set boundaries.

Despite having various challenges over the week or "lowlights" as you say, it looks like you had quite many Hightlights to counteract alot of them. (Including that boundary setting, and coming to some realizations and revelations as well)... Yes takeout can get expensive, I certainly agree. But I too know how convenient it can become when we let it. Making some goals for the new month ahead to get on track with some easier, lighter, healthier meals could be a great start to cutting some of that out. Perhaps Starting simple with the basics, or making some swaps could help? And also taking some steps to trusting yourself more. Sounds like you may have some new goals there for July?!

Thanks for stopping by to share this week and for checking in... and continuing to keep us up to date on your week. 👍

this past week went well for me i think. had a good fathers day, things went well at work, i've been busy and making steady progress with my growth path/self-care routine.
in the next week i'd like to take more photos outside if i have the time. i'm looking forward to the end of the month and fourth of july
❤️
hmm, i feel i was able to be mindful mentally & emotionally when it comes to being too hard on myself. i'm trying to forgive myself for ruminations, past wrongdoings, etc.
i'd sum this month up with struggles, positive & negative. most positive thing that happened was me getting outside and going to our local forest park for some relaxation.
highlight - the above plus the fact im making steady progress on my journey here at 7cups. struggles are being patient with myself and others & combatting guilt, loneliness, self-condemning thoughts.

Hello there~

Thats great that your week went well for you and that you had a good Fathers Day, at work, and that you are making steady progress for yourself on your growth path (and self care)! Great job on all of that. Keep up the great work there.

How nice that you are looking forwards to more photo time, and towards the Upcoming Holiday. Hopefully you can maybe combine the two and take many photos of the holiday weekend itself?

How awesome that you were able to be more mindful mentally and emotionally. And learning some 'self-forgiveness".... That is really important to let go and forgive ourselves even though it can be challenging sometimes. But certainly healthier to move forwards.

How lovely that you were able to get out as well for some "relaxation" time. Thats really important too as it falls in-line with "both" Being Mindful and Self-care.

I think the more you look at those positives you mentioned, and continue to incorporate them and work on adding them in more, and thinking on them more, the more steady progress you will continue to see, and everything else will start to fall together for you as well Here at 7cups and otherwise.

We are here to support you in any way that we can. ... Thank you so much for checking in this week and sharing with us. And keeping us up to date on how well you are doing for yourself. You are doing great. Keep going, and continue to keep up the great work. Please keep us informed on how things are continuing to go for you.

@PoliteOcean Here’s how the past week went. I had a terrible time with insomnia, due to loud noises. I only got about 3 hours sleep over a 5 day period. I’m happy to announce that after much stress and worry, I ordered a new Smart phone. I purchased a Samsung Galaxy A53. It should arrive sometime in the next few days. Furthermore, after much stress and worry, I finally found a web site where I ordered a new government issued Smart phone. By this time next week, I should have two Smart phones up and running. Unfortunately, this week I started having hot flashes and nightsweats. My night shirt was absolutely soaked in sweat. Since I live in a group home I can’t do laundry anytime I feel like it. I’m worried about running out of shirts. I contacted my doctor but the earliest appointment they have is for July 7th. I did research on male hot flashes and it’s due to low testosterone. I was inconsistent with my devotional time because of insomnia. I installed my anti-virus on my laptop with only two days left on my free trial. Leslie says she’s the house we were going to move through fell through, so it’s still going to be another 3 or 4 months before we move. One of the light bulbs in my bedroom blew out so I won’t be able to do my devotional or read my book until it gets fixed, which could be a while. Leslie says she can’t buy orange juice for me anymore, which means I’m going to have to pay $250/yr just on delivery charges for my orange juice. I use orange juice to regulate my potassium. I used to have low potassium, and it caused me a lot of distress, so I have to make sure I have a supply of orange juice available at all times. When my potassium gets low I choke and can’t breathe. For this upcoming week, I’m just waiting for my Smart phones to arrive and then look for a new caretaker.

@Regmo

Hey there Regmo, Despite starting your week off with periods of insomnia, hot-flashes & nightsweats, hopefully you are finding that its improving for you some. We all know how getting or not getting the proper rest can make us feel from day to day. If you are feeling it could be due to the low testosterone, perhaps after speaking to your doctor about that, he could recommend injections? As that is an easy fix. Of course thats assuming your insurance is ok with paying for them or your ok with taking them... Also taking inventory on the clothes you have that might be lighter and cooler to sleep in for you, could help with body temperature as well.... Thats good that you were able to get your phone situation taken care of. What exactly is a "government issued" smart phone? I've typically only heard that term coined if actually working for the government. Perhaps that information could help someone else here? If you have a flashlight on your phone? Perhaps you could use that or the light from your phone to help you see when you need it (such as during your devotional times or otherwise until you get the light fixed). Hopefully getting the light in your room fixed won't take as long as you think. As far as the Orange Juice concern, would you be able to give Leslie a few dollars to get it for you? Instead of paying such a large amount for delivery charges? That seems like an awful lot to just deliver. I'm not there and may not know the entire situation, and maybe you were already giving her money to do that.. but if not, maybe that could work or help instead if you were to ask her? Let us know things continue to go with that, and with finding a new caretaker. Thanks for checking in this week to keep us up to date on how things are continuing to go for you.
