**This week has actually gone pretty well.... Considering all thats been going on, I've stayed on track with eating, water, activity etc.... I taught my LAST Fitness class on Monday, and then my studio Closed the doors on Tuesday for 2 weeks at this time..... (Just like most other things around our area!)....BUT...... Due to all of this, I am actually VERY HAPPY to get SOOO many things done! I am totally using this time to relax, YET.. also to get things done that I've been putting off. I got so many things around the house cleaned and organized etc.... and still have some stuff yet to finish. But its getting there. And I will spend the next week off trying to practice and work on New Choreo to go back with.

**The weather has been pretty mild the past few days since Spring's arrival and with that I've been able to increase my water a bit due to the humidity, and get back to regular outdoor walking with my mom, (especially since I'm unable to teach at the moment). ZUMBA instructors across the world are doing LOTS of "LIVESTREAM" workouts so, I've been doing plenty of Virtual workouts as well!..The weather today is sunny and great, and I'm about to go take a drive in a few moments just to get outside of the house.

**Today has been spent just doing pretty much what I've done the past week....About to go take a drive and truly intend to just enjoy this time off, the break I've been given, and Wait along with many others for things to prayerfully go back to some normalcy.

STAY SAFE AND HEALTHY EVERYONE~yes

**Hey Everyone~ How have you been doing over the past week?

I'm doing fine but Im a little bored because many school districts closed due to the virus and we are all encouraged to stay inside.

**Most of us are a few days into the FIRST week of Spring time! How do you feel? Has your energy changed in any way? How are you feeling emotionally, mentally and physically with the change of season?

Oh, lol it feels like spring is here early in February. It does not feel chilly at all and now it's humid. I don't think I changed in terms of mentality and emotions but I'm looking forward to the warmer weather so I can go outside and maybe tan a little.

**How are you all still doing during this time with the Corona Virus? What are some preventative measures that you've been taking? How are things going in the area you live in? What are you doing to keep your "Spirits" up during this challenging time? How is it affecting your Activity levels?

My family owns a restaurant - a Chinese restaurant - and we've taken a hit from the hysteria. Of course, we support people staying at home, but that comes with its consequences. Right now, we only taken to-go orders which gets us around $300, but on normal days with the buffet bar open we make around $1000, so thats a 70% decrease in revenue. We have our fingers crossed that we are able to pay for our bills. For my parents, they are just looking forward to that $4000 check from the government haha, but I've been watching YouTube videos

**What is something that you have been doing for SELF CARE during this challenging time?

It honestly is very important that we take care of ourselves during this outbreak, with physically and mentally. I've been casually working out and I play with this Wii Fit that I have. I've also been taking a liking for philosophy so I've been reading books on philosophical topics throughout human history.

Thats cool that your parents own a Chinese restrauant!... I LOVE chinese food.. I have to be careful though and only eat it as a treat. I can so easily go overboard with it.

Sorry to hear that the business has taken a "hit" in its profits... Seems like that is the new normal for most businesses at this time. As most here are only doing To-Go Orders and "Take-out" as well... Hopefully things will start to calm down some soon.

I have a Wii Fit board too!.. I love mine.. I get on mine once a week, every Saturday. I think and feels as well that its very important for us to take care of ourselves during this time. It can be mentally and emotionally taxing to be stuck inside away from any contact and civilization! It can only go so far lol...We surely ALL need to find things that we enjoy indoors at this time and take the time to do them. Or at least get caught up on things that we've been putting off.

Thanks for checking in this week and keeping us up to date on how things are going.

**Hey Everyone~ How have you been doing over the past week?

Ups and downs, Wednesday I wasn't doing great. Getting very annoyed about some of the misinformation going around about the corona virus. Now I'm doing a fair bit better

**Most of us are a few days into the FIRST week of Spring time! How do you feel? Has your energy changed in any way? How are you feeling emotionally, mentally and physically with the change of season?

I'm trying to enjoy all the things that come with spring. The flowers blooming, animals being born, better weather, mostly

**How are you all still doing during this time with the Corona Virus? What are some preventative measures that you've been taking? How are things going in the area you live in? What are you doing to keep your "Spirits" up during this challenging time? How is it affecting your Activity levels OR day-to-day lives?

I'm kinda on my own a lot anyway. Just kinda can't get away from the number dropping.

**What is something that you have been doing for SELF CARE during this challenging time? Do you find that you have more time to do things that you weren't able to do or get done before all of these changes happened? Like what?

Baked a little today

Hey there...

Well its good that despite that you felt that you were being mis-informed on things at this time, that you now seem to be more at ease and doing better with things. Its a challenging time for alot of us at the moment. So its also good that you are taking time to enjoy all the many little things and beauty that come along with "Springtime"~

Good for you for staying busy doing something you enjoy like "Baking" while also promoting some self-care time for yourself..... What did you decide to bake?!

Thanks so much for continuing to check in during these challenging times. We appreciate hearing from you, and keeping us up to date on things!

Hey ! The past week has gone well, Ive been able to be more and more productive with working from home although Im not there yet. Im also trying to exercise daily to keep sane lol

Spring is great, the weather is amazing, if only we were allowed to go out…

Most things are closed here. Only essential shops are open, or at least supposed to be. Were less and less allowed to go out on small walks/runs even close from home with respecting every safety measure, although I know that its for the best as many people arent respecting these measures. Being at my mothers place is also starting to get to me as I just really would like to be left alone and have some peace in my own place, kinda regretting my decision to be the nice daughter and come over here to keep her company. I guess Im also starting to realize that this is going to last longer than I thought.

Weekend in quarantine seem to be harder as I tried not to do any work to keep it the weekend, but I might start working on weekends too if they make me feel that bad. Self-care is kinda hard, Id like to start drawing again but Ive been finding it hard to focus on one task lately.

On another note @PoliteOcean Im really glad to hear that youve been able to relax and get so many things done! Its great that youre taking full advantage of the situation to do these things you had been putting off! Take care and stay safe x

Hey there Waves!

How lovely that you are getting to work from home during this time... Many others I see are either getting laid off, or don't have that option. So that is really good for you, a Huge plus!

Great job to you on trying to get in some daily activity!... That can certainly help during this time with physical, mental and emotional wellbeing!

I feel the way you do about the Spring weather.. I'm like (man, its springtime already, and we should be able to do ALL these things, but now we can barely even go out or go anywhere) lol!.. yikes~ But... I'm trying to remain positive that if everyone does their part, that it won't be long before this starts to die down some and we can get back to some normalcy to perhaps enjoy the rest of Spring and have a great Summer as well~

Things have closed here as well to limit contact.. but we still have the grocery stores on limited hours, as well as Take-out and To-go options if needed. I'm hoping it doesn't get any worse than that..... I'm so sorry to hear that you are still having a challenging time at your moms house. Is it that you don't always get along with one another OR... are your feelings due more to just wanting your "own" space again? I can empathize with both. BUT.. In the grand scheme of things, its good that you are there for her if she needs you. Sometimes we have to make those small "sacrifices" even when we dont' want to. As long as the situation is NOT "Toxic" on any level. Because then thats no good either. And you have to do what is best for you! Its no good to sacrifice our "mental wellbeing".

I truly hope that you are able to find some time to "carve" out for yourself to get some "Self-care" time in. You deserve to have that my friend! Please, find just a few small moments for yourself when you start to feel too overwhelmed!

And as always, thank you so much for the kind and heartfelt words. You are truly a sweet person. And Its so wonderful to have you here in this community and to see you check in each week. Thank you for keeping us up to date and letting us know simply how things are going for you and how you've been doing! Stay healthy and safe, and take care!

@PoliteOcean

Thanks for your encouraging words!

I don't actually have any work to do but I'm mostly documentating myself, reading articles and reading about the topics to try and stay close to work!

And yes, I think it's a fair "sacrifice", sure I'd prefer being in my own place because I don't feel at home here but she's done a lot for me so it's only fair that I give it back on times like these.

Stay safe!

@PoliteOcean This past week my new caretaker, Anita, quit after only working one day. Furthermore, she left me high and dry and I had to cancel my doctor appointment for Wednesday. I am going to file a complaint for unprofessional conduct. I have a new list of potential caretakers, but this might be a bad time to look for a new person because of COVID-19. Thursday I went grocery shopping for the first time in a year. Friday I made Romesco sauce for the first time, which is a tomato-walnut sauce. Friday my room mate Eric fell down on his bicycle and got dizzy. He came out of the bathroom with his pants down around his ankles. I wanted to call 911 but he said he didn't want to go to the hospital. I was very worried he was going to fall on top of me while I was sleeping, but fortunately that didn't happen. I am 100% dependent on the stimulus package to save me. I pay 98% of my income for food, rent and utilities.

Hey there Regmo! Wow, I 'm so sorry to hear about your recent caregiver. Geez, Are all of your caregivers coming from the same place (or same agency)? Was just curious in thinking perhaps someone needs to take a look into who they are hiring or find a better agency to work with you in the future. Sorry you had to cancel your appointment because of it all. Hopefully you will be able to get that reschedule soon if you haven't already.... Hopefully despite everything thats going on, you will be able to find another caregiver quickly.

How nice that you are cooking again and making things that you enjoy. And that you got to get out and about to get groceries. Hopefully things workout with your room mate Eric. And hopefully there won't be any more incidents with him as well! Continue to take care and be safe during this challenging times. Thanks so much for checking in and letting us know how you've been doing!

Hey Everyone~ How have you been doing over the past week?

Time is weird now. It feels like it has gone by so fast, yet so slow. I've been bored all week but could've been doing homework. I still have next week at the least.

**Most of us are a few days into the FIRST week of Spring time! How do you feel? Has your energy changed in any way? How are you feeling emotionally, mentally and physically with the change of season?

Eh. I thought I'd feel a lot happier but maybe it'll take a while, given circumstances. I did get outside once this week and it felt a little good. The weather keeps changing rapidly between 70 and 50 degrees F, sunny and cloudy, sticky and windy.

**How are you all still doing during this time with the Corona Virus? What are some preventative measures that you've been taking? How are things going in the area you live in? What are you doing to keep your "Spirits" up during this challenging time? How is it affecting your Activity levels OR day-to-day lives?

Feel weird. Waiting to hear back from my school on what we'll be doing after next week. Things are getting worse where I am, not nearly as bad as other states. To keep my spirits up, I'm trying to maintain perspective, let thoughts just pass through my head without giving them too much emotional attention, debunking with my negative thoughts, stay in my bedroom since difficult people I live with have taken advantage of the quarantine to bother me more often. I find that meditations for anxiety in general have been helpful even if I can't focus completely. So it's mostly maintaining a clear perspective on this. Definitely affecting my activity. I'm struggling to get up and exercise, low energy. Just want to stay in my room all day as it's my only "safe" haven if I can call it that.

**What is something that you have been doing for SELF CARE during this challenging time? Do you find that you have more time to do things that you weren't able to do or get done before all of these changes happened? Like what?

See above :) Haven't done more things than I used to. I think it's okay to not be productive right now. It's not a race and this was my spring break week anyway. I was gonna do homework this past week but honestly not up to it. Had planned on doing more, just didn't happen that way. I got very depressed which was weird as I was supposed to enjoy this week off. It just hit me suddenly, nothing to do with the virus.

**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" over this past week?

Idk. I'm kinda tired of typing now :) Thanks for the check in. Good night

I can relate on some level about the feeling of "Time" and how it passes..... fast and slow yet at the same time when you truly sit and think about it. It can certainly get boring during times like these when it breaks our normal routines. Staying busy in some way or finding things that you enjoy (old things that you used to enjoy even) can help.

I can relate on the weather as well..lol.. Its been going back and forth here too.. 75 One day and 50 the next. angry.... Like stick with one things already lol...

Sounds like with everything going on that its also got you off balance somewhat in your day to day life and routines... Like many of us. I too find that I'm suffering from low energy being stuck inside..., so I can certainly relate there as well. But its great that you are working on trying to maintain perspective and continuing to practice meditations when needed! That can certainly help.

You're right.. you really don't have to be productive at the moment... Just focus on your needs, and how you are feeling. Doing whats in the best interest of what your mind and body are telling you. If rest is whats needed, then rest, and relax and enjoy the moment that you are in without overthinking things or planning anything.

Thanks for taking the time to check in this week and letting us know how things are going where you are! And continuing to keep us up to date on things.

**Hey Everyone~ How have you been doing over the past week?

I've been better, also been worse, so I'm doing okay.

**Most of us are a few days into the FIRST week of Spring time! How do you feel? Has your energy changed in any way? How are you feeling emotionally, mentally and physically with the change of season?

I feel exhausted. It's like spring time is going "Time to reenergize and for you to do that here is a lot of sleep", which I'm not necessarily complaining about.

**How are you all still doing during this time with the Corona Virus? What are some preventative measures that you've been taking? How are things going in the area you live in? What are you doing to keep your "Spirits" up during this challenging time? How is it affecting your Activity levels OR day-to-day lives?

Not fantastic frankly. Washing hands and cleaning things as well as home quarantine, if I have to go out then hand sanitizer and such. Things are going okay, nothing bad, they are just taking safety measures early which is appreciated because of the amount of elderly that live in my area. I am talking to friends and trying to stay up and about as much as I can handle while in the house. My mental health hasn't been too great because I can't see people, which is what usually helps me rebalance myself.

**What is something that you have been doing for SELF CARE during this challenging time? Do you find that you have more time to do things that you weren't able to do or get done before all of these changes happened? Like what?

I have been writing more as well as painting. I have had more time to write more frequently, but it's pretty much the same as before.

**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" over this past week?

Struggles would be trying to keep my mental health balanced while stuck in the house. A highlight is that because of the virus my best friend doesn't have to move and it's been postponed a year which means we can spend senior year together and a lot of fun stuff, and just ahhhh so happy!!! :)

**What would "YOU" like to talk about or share with us?! WE want to hear from "YOU"~ yes

I think at this time I am okay, but thank you :)

Thats great that you are doing okay! Okay is good!... Its ok that you find yourself sleeping a little bit more.. perhaps its your body's way of telling you that you need more of it!

Its great that you are staying on top of taking the precautions that are needed during this time. Sorry to hear that your mental health is suffering at this time because of everything going on around us. But isn't it great to have the world of "technology" right at our fingertips, that we don't every truly have to fall out of contact with our friends and family?!... i know its not exactly the same, but its something. And its great that you are staying on top of writing and painting, and doing the things that you enjoy! Keep up the great work with that. Its important to continue to do the things that we love or bring us some type of joy especially during this time.

And how awesome that your friend will be staying around alot longer!.. How cool that you will be able to do your senior year together. I know how important that is. Thats great news for you both and surely something to look forward to!

Thanks so much for checking in this week to let us know how things are going and how you've been doing.

heart I definitely find that I have more energy in the spring time, and it's so nice to have the windows open! It's motivating me to get up earlier & establish a routine.

heart Well, I've been self-isolating mostly! It's really all that I can do. Everything's on a stricter lockdown than before where I am. I keep my spirits up by giving myself little productivity to-do lists and practicing things I enjoy! Not gonna lie, the New Animal Crossing game helps a lot!

heart My self-care has been a lot of emotional stuff versus physical, though yesterday I made a point to cook a nice meal. I've been knocking things off of a very long to do list that I've had for a while!

heart Highlights: Slowly accomplishing a to-do list! Struggles: My physical health is kinda goin by the wayside!

Hey there!

Thats great that you are enjoying the Spring weather and that its giving you more energy as well as motivation! Thats great!

Self isolating is pretty much all many of us can do right now (At least for those of us that are trying to do the "right thing" while all of this is going on). And I Love hearing that you are taking time for yourself and keeping your own spirits up by doing things you enjoy as well as doing things that need to get done!

Emotional Self care is just as important as physical self care! So good for you on focusing on what feels good for you right now! Keep up the great work!... And just know that its ok to do what feels "good" for you right now, you can always gradually start working on physical aspects little by little. It doesn't have to be all at once... Just start small.

And congrats on working on that "To-do" list! Isn't it great?!.. I LOVE this extra time to get all those little things done! Be proud of yourself for your accomplishments! And thank you so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you are doing!

Delayed on this but jumping in to use this space as a time to reflect.

**MMM this week was not so great but I've done a good job of finding positives to focus on; my mantra for the week is "is this within your control?" if the thing is not within my control, it helps me to pause and let go of reactivity about the situation.

**Very happy about spring! I've been using this time to get into bird watching and have LOVED all the birdsong in the mornings! This is helped with my energy since I've been pretty devastated lately with all the life changes. So ready for the weather to perk up a bit more so I can spend some "isolating" time kayaking.

**Not doing super great with the life changes COVID has brought along; had to cancel an overseas trip that I'd planned to help get me out of my funk, I lost my job as I work as an hourly temporary employee in a school, and the gym & yoga studio have closed. For preventative measures we are pretty much housebound. I've been trying to eat healthy and still exercise to keep up my immune system. To keep my spirits up I'm trying to focus on things I can control; like my attitude during all this. I've looked for opportunities in this craziness like more time to get into birdwatching and getting to read books and watch movies. My activity level is pretty low and I'm hoping to feel more motivated after the initial funk of losing my job and cancelling my trip wears off.

*Self care has mostly been trying to do some kind of daily routine, even if it's just making sure I get up when I first wake up rather than lounging in bed; also walking my dog and taking photos of birds daily has been an act of self care. It might sound silly but sometimes in the evenings I feel SO unmotivated to even brush my teeth and wash my face so I tell myself "you are doing this to show yourself respect and take care of your body" and that helps.

**Highlights this week: being able to identify about 10 bird species in my backyard easily. Getting in a couple of in-person limited yoga classes before things shut down. Struggles: trying to get a refund for an international flight that was canceled due to COVID. Stressing about money quite a bit and trying to figure out what to do for work during these crazy times. Struggling to reach out socially to my friends.
