**Well, I'm a little late in posting the Check-in this week, mainly because I haven't been feeling all that great since Thursday... Allergies or whatever, and I've pretty much just been in a "fog" trying to feel better. I started off the week well on track, but then I celebrated BOTH my Mom and Son's birthdays this past week, and of course, got "off track" in those celebrations....But.. No Regrets, as we had a wonderful time and quality time with each other. So it was time well spent, even if meant getting "off plan". But.. the only regret I do have is getting off track again Thurs and Friday (after) the party.

**I taught my classes through Thursday morning, and by Thursday afternoon I wasn't feeling the greatest. So... I pretty much haven't done a whole lot of anything over the past two days. I didn't even get up early Saturday morning to go workout. Which is something I ALWAYS do unless I'm out of town on vacation. But I just decided that I wanted to sleep in and give my body and mind a break and a rest and take a little "Self-Care" time which I haven't done alot of since this New Year began.

**I've been thinking alot about the year ahead, and the warmer weather coming up. And How I like to travel etc... And now with all the Hype about the "Corona" Issues, it has me "guarded" somewhat about what kind of travel we will even be able to do?!... I just hope that things with this whole issue start to quiet down some in the next few months ahead. I haven't been to my hometown almost 9 years! And I was hoping to actually get to go this summer. Guess will have to wait and see how this plays out.

**This weekend I just rested up a bit, and prayerfully will be ready to take on the week ahead come Monday and be able to teach my classes. I need to get back on track with everything. I suppose I'm looking forward to the "Time Change" tonight as I am ready for it to be "Lighter" Longer so that I can see better coming home from my classes and eventually get back outdoors and do some more evening walks with the warmer weather and longer days ahead~ yes

ENJOY THE REST OF THE WEEKEND~

**Hey Everyone! How have you been doing over the past week?

I've been well!

**This is the "FIRST" Check-in for the Month of MARCH!.... What are you looking forward to the most in this new month ahead?!

I have so many events to attend and exams and homework and meetings so it's going to be a super busy month but I hope I can attend the gym regularly! laugh

**What goals or plans would you like to make happen or accomplish for yourself this month? What things can you work on to make those goals or plans come together?

This month I wanted to start a new diet and lose 4-5kgs and try to find time for my own enjoyment! I think better managing my time table and have more motivation would be a great start 😂

**How do you feel this weekends Time Change will affect you? In what ways?

I think it's gonna drain me 😂 but ahhh I can survive this. I like when I have so much to do, the past months have been very chill so I am all ready!

**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" over this past week?

Motivation mostly and now my foot too apparently. I fell on it and I twisted it years back so now it just hurts. So I'm forced to have rest days 😖

**How has your weekend been going? What things have you done so far?

I built the new diet and scheduled gym hours also cleaned my room!

Hey there..

Thats really great for you that things have gone well for you.

Sounds like you have been Very busy with things in your life. Despite that, its still great that you have goals that you are still wanting to make happen and accomplish for yourself. And it can happen. Time management can be quite challenging at times. But it eventually comes together little by little. Just remember to always find some quality time to spend on "yourself'!

I know the time change has surely gotten a few of us off track a little, and I know for me the days have certainly been getting away from me a bit!..But, hopefully things will start to calm down a bit!

Hopefully things heal up with your foot soon! I know its difficult having set-backs like that when you are trying to accomplish things!... Thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how things have been going for you!

**What goals or plans would you like to make happen or accomplish for yourself this month? What things can you work on to make those goals or plans come together?

I will be finishing up the academic quarter soon and then there's spring break to look forward to. So my goals include finishing my 10 page research proposal, pass my statisical regression final, and meet with my advisor to ensure I am on track for my graduate program and make plans for the next quarter.

**How do you feel this weekends Time Change will affect you? In what ways?

I'm sad to lose an hour this weekend. I was hoping to finish a rough draft of the my paper and on top of that I have a shorter paper due tomorrow at 5 pm. That's a weekly assignment so it didn't sneak up on me but I was so focused on the long paper that I haven't started the shorter one yet!

**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" over this past week?

Highlights: I had a great check in meeting this week with my advisor. We got carried away talking about research and future plans and hypothetical questions and thought experiments. It was very casual but beneficial for me as a first year to have an indepth conversation like that. I also had a great meeting at the writing center when talking about my long paper that I was working on. They worked out some areas that I was struggling with and gave me more to consider when I contunue writing. I ALSO had a great meeting with my on campus peer mentor. We had a conversation about possible routes I can take as I continue through the program. It was nice listening to my options and being aware of things I should be looking out for as I navigate my way through graduate school. I'm excited to see how the next few years go for me.

Struggles: I didn't have a great meeting with my stats professor. I have been struggling with the material lately and that's not a good feeling to have so close to the midterm. I'm nervous of doing poorly and there are very serious consequences for me moving forward in the program if I do poorly. I need to have a 3.0 GPA to keep my full ride at the university and this course can very easily be my downfall.

**How has your weekend been going? What things have you done so far?

I was originally going to be working on the papers but I didn't get a chance. I had family visiting and I was doing spending the day with them instead. it was nice was I was stressing about the responsibilities I wasn't working on the entire time. Tomorrow will definitely be ALL work for me to catch up with all the writing I have to do (and studying stats if I have the time).

**What would "YOU" like to talk about or share with us?! WE want to hear from "YOU"~

I'm still struggling to get myself to the gym and I think the reason for that is because it can be daunting to think of working out when I am so out of shape right now (I'm talking getting winded from a 15 minute walk with the slightest incline from the parking lot to my office, I'm talking near asthma attack when I climb 3 flights of stairs). What are some easy exercises for someone who is just starting their exercise routine?

@SecretlyMe

Wow! It seems like you are quite the "busy-bee"!... It seems that you are really serious and focused on your schooling and academics! That is really great. And I'm sure that all your hard work will pay-off in the end! You sound like you have a very bright and promising future ahead once you are completed with things! Keep up the great work you are doing, Nobody said it would be easy, but Im' sure in the end it will be worth it!

Its great you had the chance to spend time with family!.. Family is really important. So thats good that even though you were busy, you found a bit to do so.

I'm sorry to hear that you seem so challenged trying to get on track with getting to the gym and including workouts. Just think of it as being just as important as schooling. Make appointments with yourself to make "time" for yourself. Just remember "baby-steps"!... You don't have to "go hard" or "start big"!... Just take small steps... (parking a little further away, or just around the block and back to get some fresh air.. ETC... things like that can add up to bigger things over time! And I always LOVE to point out LESLIE SANSONE videos on YOUTUBE!... She has a MILLION "Walk videos" that you can do in the comfort of your own home! Or whereever you are with computer access!... Start there! Thats how I started out, and little by little she will having you walking a 1, 2, 3, 5 miles and more right in your own home!... She keeps you motivated too!...
Good Luck to you, thank you for checking in to let us know how things are going, and PLEASE check back to keep us up to date on how things are continuing to go for you!

What goals or plans would you like to make happen or accomplish for yourself this month? What things can you work on to make those goals or plans come together?

1. Cigarette-free for 3 weeks (my recent one was on Friday)

let's stop asking people! and start talking about the weather.

21 day rule, it takes 21 days to form a habit, easier said than done but let's do it.

2. Sorting my life out (extremely vague, but my nose and head are still clogged up but I know what it means.

**How do you feel this weekends Time Change will affect you? In what ways?

It doesn't affect me, I am not sensitive to weather changes.

**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" over this past week?

Getting rid of this fever.

Sorting out my room, it's tiny af for my standards.

**How has your weekend been going? What things have you done so far?

Sleeping

Eating

Having Paracetamol and cough syrup.

Getting annoyed at the idiot who keeps coming up and using the toilet with their kid during the night - you have one on the floor you sleep on. Wtf?

Sounds like you have some great goals to work on for yourself~ I hope that they come together for you. Forming habits can be challenging.. but gues thats why the call it a habit since the more we are able to do it, the easier its supposed to be... Just keep going, do the best you can, thats all you can do. Nobody is keeping track of what you can do, or what you can't do except for "you".. We tend to be our own worst critics at times.

Its good the time change didn't affect you at all.

Sorry to hear about the toilet paper issue?! Thats CRAZY STUFF!.. Geez... Hope you can figure out a way to get that situation dealt with before it becomes a "Habit"!

Thanks so much for checking in and letting us know how things have been going for you, continue to keep us up to date on things.

@PoliteOcean It's really weird being back at 7 cups after such a long absence. My girlfriend Casey broke up with me 3 weeks ago. Two of my creepy room mates don't live here anymore, and that's good news. I was tired of smelling their feces. My caretaker said her last day of working for me is Thurs. Mar 12th. I have two people scheduled for interviews this week. I have an appointment to see my primary care physician on Wed. Mar 18th. I haven't seen my PCP for 6 months. I have a lot of health issues that are falling through the cracks. My house manager is incompetent and shouldn't be in charge of sick people. I'm hoping to start a round of acupuncture treatments in the next 2-3 weeks. I'm concerned the insurance isn't going to pay for enough treatments to genuinely help me. I've fallen through the cracks of my spiritual support system also.

Hey there So great to hear from you again.. I was wondering where you were and how things have been going for you since I haven't seen you in a while!

Sorry to hear things didn't work out with your girlfriend.. Or with your room-mates!.. Thats pretty gross to be in an unhealthy and unsanitary enviroment. Nobody should have to deal with that....... And sorry to hear about your caretaker too. Hopefully your interviews will yeild good results for you! I hope that your insurance takes care of the acupuncture and your other needs as well that things start to come together for you, so that you can start getting a better quality of life for yourself. ... What are you looking forward to the most in this new month ahead?!

Just whatever adventures are coming.

What goals or plans would you like to make happen or accomplish for yourself this month? What things can you work on to make those goals or plans come together?

I would like to go back to work part time. I see the doctor Thursday to see how it goes/

How do you feel this weekends Time Change will affect you? In what ways?

Time changes have always been hard on my mood. Maybe the lack of sleep and taking my meds at the wrong time.

What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" over this past week?

A Highlight is I gave my boyfriend a birthday party and he loved it. The struggle for me is dealing with PTSD, so it's been a tough week.

How has your weekend been going? What things have you done so far?

It's been a fairly lazy weekend. Just had date night last night and got some food.

Its great that you are being so optimistic about any adventures that come your way this month! Its great to be openminded to things.

Good luck on being able to go back to work! That would be really great for you.

Sorry to hear that you are one that is affected by the timechange. Hopefully your body and mind will catch up. I know its been challenging a bit for me as well, everything seems to be going so fast!... And to hear that you are dealing with the PTSD. I know that can be very difficult.

Its sounds like you had some great positives though in the way of your boyfriends party, and a good weekend of date nights, lazy-time, and good food!... Sounds great to me!..

Sounds great that things are going well for you! Its great that you are looking forward to "warmer weather and getting back to the gym as well!".

I know its challenging to deal with negative self talk and anxiety especially when at work. I hope that you have some good coping mechnisms to help you through it when it happens. That can be very helpful for sure.

**Hey Everyone! How have you been doing over the past week?

It was definitely stressful because we had a lot of stuff going on this week for school

**This is the "FIRST" Check-in for the Month of MARCH!.... What are you looking forward to the most in this new month ahead?!

I'm looking forward to graduating from high school lol. I can't wait to finally be an adult so I can start investing in stocks.

**What goals or plans would you like to make happen or accomplish for yourself this month? What things can you work on to make those goals or plans come together?

My goal is to start exercising more again. Now that the most stressful part of school is over, I need to start working out physically, not just mentally.

**How do you feel this weekends Time Change will affect you? In what ways?

Well I was late to work today because I use a clock instead of the alarm on my phone :(

**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" over this past week?

My partner and I presented our research of increasing the social media presence of a restaurant in town to judges for competition in Chattanooga TN and we placed second in the state!

Hi! I thought I was doing great with motivation to recover and taking a break from exercise while getting fit emotionally. I think it was my brain tricking me into thinking "well I can do just a little bit of xyz". Nah. I just got back from a workout about an hour ago... I thought I did it to calm myself down after triggering myself. Turns out my mind had other plans today. But on the bright side I had 2 successes in yesterday related to food, and another in the same day with managing emotions! 3 successes in one day. Nothing can take that from me

Yet, I'm looking forward to breaking recovering even if I have to take it super slow to get out of this relapse. I'm looking forward to breaking rigidity that I have which leads to unhealthy obsessions and worsened control issues though it feels good in the moment. But I want to try maintaining a schedule for self-care (e.i. meditation, homework, sleep). I've been doing well with meditating every day for the last week so that's a huge plus for me. Even if I'm not totally focused on it, letting it play in the background and sink into my subconscious has helped a lot. Just when I think I didn't listen to something, I remember a random quote.

The weekend's time change has made me anxious. I was wondering why the day felt different. I thought I was disconnecting from myself but I really just forgot about the time change haha. My weekend overall has been nice. Got a new phone and accessories, finished some homework, made progress with binging a TV show.

Thanks for the check-in @PoliteOcean! Really appreciate these moments to slow down

@Lexloveslife

Congrats to you on your food related successes as well as being able to manage your emotions. Sometimes people don't realize just how challenging those things can be for others. And its definitely an accomplishment.

And I think its really awesome that you are wanting to continue to work on a schedule for yourself to help you to manage your day and your lifestyle in a positive way moving forward.

I can totally relate in some ways on that time-change! I can't believe how much the days are already getting "ahead" of me?!.. At least they seem to be? lol.. Maybe its just me.

That is really great for you that you have seemed to have such a productive weekend for yourself (new phone, finishing homework and getting caught up on some shows that you enjoy)!... Sounds like a great weekend to me! (Its the "simple" things like that that really makes you feel good isn't it?!)..

Thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you've been doing!.. I'm so happy that you find checking in here beneficial for you. I really love and enjoy catching up on everybody's week and individual journeys. It sounds like you are really doing a great job. Keep up the great work!

Hi everyone!

Just doing my check-in.

I had a bath. I feel amazing but don't you just hate it when you can't do it properly when people are around? Urgh, the worst.

I had a shoddy evening yesterday. In fact I have had a shoddy past five months. Or even past two years. But I think I have really kept my patience an control and d tried to see the best in other people but let's not get into that.

I've been at the end of my tether recently because I was at the end of my course of the bug I had and I was feeling rough, it was that time of the month and generally, I haven't had a steady space or good people to stabilise myself in (but I am getting there - it's takes sifting through).

Anyway, I'm a clean bean and it feels so good.

SO GOOD.

Checking out.

xo

Despite that you weren't able to fully and completely get a good bathing in the way you wanted due to others around, its great that you were still able to do so and that you are feeling cleaner and better because of it. I'm sure it really refreshed and energized you a bit?! Good for you. Keep up the great work that you are doing for yourself and thanks so much for checking in this week to let us know how things are going for you!
