**Hey there everyone!.... So today's checkin (although still on Saturday) is a "little later than usual as I just Returned from my little "get-away" this evening.... This past week has been crazy-busy and fun~ .... I started the week on Monday teaching my normal Zumba classes and for the most part on track.. But, then we prepared to leave for our Get-away for a few days.~ My sleep was up and down, I didn't stay on my eating plan the best, and Activity consisted of mainly walking the Beach and shopping and other activities that involved being away~

**We went to one of our favorite places at the Beach and spent a few days there. It was really nice just being away from the usual 'day-to-day' activities....The weather was really warm and lovely, lots of sunshine and a great breeze... Spent most of the time walking the beach and just taking in the Sun, Salt, and Ocean waves~ Did a little Shopping, spent WAY more than I wanted to, and ate way more than I planned.~ But the point was to just get away and enjoy and NOT think too much~ yescool

**Today we got back in the early evening with just enough time to get unpacked, pick up my dog from my moms, run a small errand, and spend the rest of the evening relaxing again before beginning another new week ahead~....The week ahead will bring teaching Two classes on Monday, and then being off from teaching the Next Two weeks as I take another break due to the upcoming Holiday (Memorial Day). It will be a nice long weekend, and some good time off to relax my body a bit more as we get ready to enter the Summer Season (and the Summer Workout session) ahead~

**I'm still doing the Bootcamp that I signed up for on Tuesdays at the facility I teach at, and will still incorporate taking others classes as well while I'm on break from teaching my own~... My mom will be out of town again for two weeks, so no morning walks, but the weather is supposed to be Amazing this next week and beyond and I will incorporate more walks with my husband in the evenings as well and walks at the lake with my dog~ I also and going to work my butt off on trying to add/incorporate more "Strength" training with weights which I've put off for far too long~.... And of course, get back on track with tracking my food~ And by the end of the week hopefully get back to the Pool more regularly!

HOPE EVERYONE'S WEEKEND HAS GONE WELL~ yes

@AveryLove

Hey there Avery!

Sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling the best frown.... I hope that by time you read this that you are starting to feel a little better?!....Its tough feeling like that and not being able to workout or eat the way you want to... but the important thing is to take care of yourself and allow yourself to heal.

Sounds like you are really enjoying your new surroundings and getting used to things. Thats great!... And how nice that you were able to get back to see your boyfriend and friends as well... the best of both worlds!

Sounds like you have an exciting weekend ahead with some great fireworks. Is it a "special occasion" that they are having them? Let us know how it goes!

Thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you've been even though you weren't feeling the greatest. Get better soon!

Another busy week. Weeks are flying, but I think I am finally slowing down a little. I also find walks at the beach very relaxing. I am only 15 minutes away and do not get down to the beach as often as I should. Maybe since I live so close I know its always easy to reach and get sidetracked. I usually stay clear of beach during summer months as the crowds are large and I like more peaceful times in the off season. I would always have to live near the ocean as I just like to know its there if I want to go. Where I walk is hilly with horse farms so it is also very good for getting a good workout and seeing the horses when walking is very relaxing, Still trying to get back on track, seen to be doing a little better, but still need work. Not sure why I got sidetracked this should be the best time of year to stay on track. Weather has been getting better, but still too cold for swimming. Some minor painting projects this weekend. Still goal setting as it seen to be a lifetime project.surprise Plants outside are starting to bloom and I have have finished planting. Enjoy your weekend.

@sail46

Hey Sail!...

Sorry to hear that staying on track has been a little bit challenging for you lately... I can totally understand that and relate... I felt the same as this time of year should be easy... but I find that its almost a little harder since all the holidays, the nicer weather, summer outings and picnics, events etc.... I'm a little disappointed in myself that I haven't met my "major" goal by now and its driving me a little crazy lol.... But I'm glad that with the summer months that we are able to continue to remain more active by being able to get out more and enjoy more things such as the beach, swimming, walking more, "gardening for you"... etc....

Hopefully the busier we keep ourselves the less we cave into any temptations or get off track!?!... I totally agree with you about "goal setting" seeming like a "life-time project"... but you know, thats the thing, Living Healthy or Healthy Living is just that, "A LIFETIME JOURNEY"... Its day by day, moment by moment.... for all our lives... We just have to do the best we can to continue on the journey and if we get off track, do our best to get back on it!... I've been doing this most of my adult life....I just keep hanging in there, I'm glad that you are too!

Enjoy your plants... I'm sure they are beautiful!.. Enjoy your week!

I had a bit too much over a few days beyond what was ideal - some quick medical stuff I wasn't expecting (although I initiated by calling for an appointment, I was just expecting it to be this upcoming week or later, but the doctor will be away) and a fair bit of work with a rush request. That was on top of my workout.

I was just tired and stiff, but managed it ok.

The workout actually went really well, there were 2 circuits (typical) and the first I was pretty close to sticking to the work for x seconds, then a quick break between exercises thing. Not 100%, but I think it was on pace wih those that don't have health issues manage. My weights and things like that were lower but there were even some that I managed to bump up to the next one over what my trainer initially suggested I try.

It's a long weekend, spent time with my family yesterday after sleeping in. I hope to manage to make some progress on the gaden today.

@AffyAvo

Hey there Affy, sounds like for the most part that things are continuing to go well for you!

How awesome for you that you felt good enough to give yourself a little "push" beyond what your trainer suggested. And that you were able to "manage"!

Hope that you enjoyed your long weekend with your family and that you were able to manage time and progress with your garden!

Thanks so much for checking in this week and keeping us up to date on how things are continuing to go for you!

@PoliteOcean Thanks! Things are going mostly well except my allergies are quite bad which interplays with the fatigue. I'm just doing what I can as I can and managed to get a fair bit of rest on the weekend too.

@PoliteOcean I'm in my second week of rehab. I finally got a copy of the ambulance report. I had severe depletion of calcium, excessive phosphorus and magnesium. They called it electrolyte derangement. I had acute kidney injury in the form of tubular necrosis. I also had severe dehydration, anemia, and metabolic acidosis. I do physical therapy 1 hour a day except on the weekends. Other than that, I just lie in bed all day. They're keeping my blood pressure artificially low and I don't know what the reason is. I feel lazy, lethargic, and lack enthusiasm. Right now I don't have a prognosis. The nursing staff and nursing assistants are very attentive. The food is really good, which is important for good nutrition and for keeping up morale. They have church services I go to every Sunday. I have an appointment with my endocrinologist on Tuesday.

@Regmo

Hey there Regmo!... So glad to hear from you and that you are doing well and being taken care of!... Sounds like you really had alot going on with you, and sorry to hear that things got that serious! I just hope that its all under control or at least getting there for you! Its great that you are getting physical therapy and on the road to recovery. I do hope that they give you the information that you need and get you a prognosis soon! Please ask questions so that you can also get the answers that you need. And perhaps even a social worker or some other advocate that can step in and help you get the information you need or get those questions answered as well. I'm glad that your healthcare team is being attentive to you and your needs. I'm also glad that you are enjoying the food!.. Usually people complain about hospital food. I actually found it to be pretty good when I was there having my son years ago, and also when i did my clinicals there when I became a nurse years later. I'm glad that you are getting the nutrition you need as well as enjoying Church there on Sundays! Please keep us informed on how your appointment goes and how you are continuing to do! Thanks so much for checking in this week!

Hey! I know I haven't been checking in in a while, I took a step back from social media and from everyone actually. It's not usually a good thing, but I needed to be involved in myself and just myself for a moment, I guess, to observe and understand. And I understood a lot of things, about me and what I need, and possibly about some of the reasons I am so stuck.

I've been doing rather good in the last two weeks. I managed to keep up with cleaning the house and more or less with eating regularly, right now I'm crafting some 3D painting or... I don't even know how to call the thing, but it's som kind of arts anyway. I just like crafting things in my free time.

I'm struggling with anxiety more than with depression or EDs, but I have to be careful with triggers for both. Especially with depression, since I'm trying to fill my days doing things. And doing things often triggers depressive thoughts. Shouldn't it be the opposite? Maybe, but I happen to judge myself a lot and compare my work with other people's work to see if it was "worth even trying", and I compare my attitude with the attitude other people show and I put myself down a lot when it seems that I wasn't as determined, as strong or as positive as other people who did the same thing i wanted to do, and I think I didn't deserve to do it because I didn't want it enough, I wasn't determined, strong, clever, smart enough, it didn't come as easy for me as I think it came for other people I saw, or a million other reasons... It's crazy how many limitations I put to myself and how hard I am on myself.

So now I'm tired, and I should go to bed, before tiredness finds a way to help depressive thoughts in.
Bye bye

@GhostlyLilian

Update. Remember I said doing things can trigger my depression? I think it happened. It was more or less 9 PM and I was working on an old project, I couldn't do some stuff and I had a major mood swing. I was trying to get over it, about 3 hours later it was starting to get better, and right then my boyfriend remembered me the cat was ouside, and that I had to get him back before going to bed. Fine, said "ok, I'm going now" and started taking a couple of deep breaths to try and calm down the negative feelings, to hopefully be able to stand from the couch and go get the cat outside. Right in that moment, my boyfriend (6 years, not the last moron passing by) told me "good, be a grown up person", meaning, I guess, that I had chosen to be a grown up person by not getting affected by my depression (I know 3 hours are not much, but I know depression and tonight it really tried to hit me hard, I don't know what happened). So... Turns out that when I'm depressed I'm being childish.

I'm furious. And, I hate to admit it, but I'm also hurt and a little more insecure. If that's the idea he always had of me.... I know I should talk to him about it, but he was tired and went straight sleeping and I was not totally lucid, both for anger and depressive thoughts, so... I might talk to him tomorrow

@GhostlyLilian

Hey there Lilian Its great to see you this week!

Sounds like despite the fact that you are still having some feelings here and there about some things, that ultimately you sound like you are in a MUCH better place than you were in when you last checked in with us. And thats great!. I hope that you are able to continue to focus on all of the positives as well as the positive progress that you have made moving forward.

Good for you for taking out some time for yourself and focusing on yourself by avoiding social media, and just taking a break while you continued to work on yourself.

It won't be an overnight process, but if you continue to have some faith, and focus on the "good" things that got you back to this place, (cleaning the house more, regular eating patterns, 3D painting/crafting)... then you will have continued success with the good things and the positives moving forward for yourself.

Sorry to hear about the issue with your boyfriend, Perhaps talking with him will help you to feel much better by getting out all of your feelings about the situation. I hope that you get a chance to talk with him about it.....

Thanks for checking in this week and letting us know how things have been going for you!

@PoliteOcean

Thanks ocean! laughI am indeed in a much better place, and I feel I'm moving forward! Slowly but surely.

I had a chance to talk with my bf. Found out "be a grown up person" was a thing his dad always told him, as a kid, when he did things he didn't feel like doing in that precise moment because he was too comfortable on the couch, for example, so he just wanted to joke about going down 4 floors of stairs to get the cat late at night, and he didn't even think it could seem connected to the depression thing. Fixed this, he got me angry by saying that he doesn't see me doing any progress, that it seems that I'm moving backwards and that it's good that I volunteer, but I need to stop trying to fix people's problems and fix mine. So thanks for acknowledging my progress ocean, I needed this. Although I knew right from the start that my bf was talking crazy. Maybe he doesn't remember how I was just some months ago, let alone a couple of years ago. He should at least notice that he's not living in a junkyard any more. I don't know.

Anyway, glad to announce that I am officially not relapsed into depression yet. I'm back doing my crafts as if nothing happened, even if they triggered me just yesterday, and I'm doing fine. That's a result

**Hey Everyone, how have you been doing this past week? Complicatedly frustrated and depressed.

**We are over Mid-way through the month of May already! How has this month been going for you so far?! (very overwhelming. . . I have lost my little security (long story, but I am way to exhausted to tell the entire thing.)

**What things or goals are you currently working on or trying to accomplish before the end of this month? I want to finish getting my novel on the computers (I lost 8,000 words an entire chapter due to an error last month and it's been work to get myself to get back to it.)

**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" over this past week? I have had more struggles this month than highlights and today I have dropped more things, I almost got electricuted when my cpap machine leak under my strip cord, and I got a very sensitive female part pinched when i was closing on my drawers. I am just so depressed . . . that I am going to bed early and tomorrow will be a better day!

**What are your weekend Plans?! Write and cook

**What would "YOU" like to talk about or share with us?! WE want to hear from "YOU"!! smiley I am trying to find better housing for my mom, brother and i but I am really losing hope.

Hey there Rebekah.. its nice to hear from you this week.. I've been wondering how you've been doing~

Sorry to hear that you've been frustrated and depressed....and that things have been over-whelming for you.

I hope that things are going better with getting your novels on your computers including what you lost... I'm sure that wasn't a very great situation to deal with.

Sorry to hear about the issue with your CPAP Machine... but I hope that you got it figured out and that it doesn't happen for you again!

I hope that things start to come together for you and that you are able to find the housing for you and your family that you are looking for..

Thanks for taking the time to check in this week despite how things have been going... I hope this week has been going better for you.
