**This past week has gone well and gone by pretty fast... I can't believe its already been a week since I went away on my mini-vacation and today will already be a week since I've been back... The whole week was practically a blur!?!~... Anyway... After not being on the best of track during that time, this past week I got right back on and kept up with my eating, tracking, workouts, back to teaching my classes, and doing ok with sleep for the most part.....Got outdoors again with my mom for our morning walks, and to the Lake in the afternoons with my Dog (my Side-kick) when I wasn't teaching~ I would sum up this Month as "FAST"!... And I hope that the rest of the summer slows down~ The best part of the month off the top of my head was our trip to the beach last week... and I look forward to more good family times in the month ahead as well as continuing to stay on track!

**The weather has been SOOOO incredibly hot here~cool .... Its been in the 90's (F) .... the entire week, and the coming week ahead will be the same..(On a bright note, My water intake has been INCREDIBLE because of the heat!) lol.... Its actually perfect because the local pool is opening today!.. So I'm glad for that. I thought about opening my own pool again this summer, but I thought about all the "Upkeep" and "Maintanence" that goes along with it.. and the fact that I still want some major yard-improvements done including knocking down some trees before opening a pool again.... So, I will be sticking with the local pool around the corner for yet another season~ Got my "New" FITBIT all charged up and ready to wear and by next week , I'll be able to report how well it does with the pool activity! lol...

**This week is a Long Holiday weekend here with Memorial Day on Monday.. I'm looking forward to it, and relaxing, no classes to teach for another week, and spending time with my husband a bit~ The weather will be incredible, so we are looking at taking a drive, getting some treats like icecream or something surprise... and possibly a RiverBoat cruise on the local lake where I take my dog..... Its apparently something new they are doing, and its like a Brunch cruise during the day, and a dinner cruise in the evenings.... The brunch cruise is much cheaper, so I'm hoping to maybe go cruising the lake on Sunday and do that.. But will see... We will probably cook some veggie burgers and hotdogs with some picnic sides for the Holiday, and that will be another day that I will yet have to "watch" my intake~

**Today is our kick-back/relax day.. My intention is to hopefully start the day off with a ZUMBA class at my facility with another instructor since there won't be any local classes around here to take or teach until at least Tuesday indecision... and then whereever the day takes us from there afterwards~

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND EVERYONE~ STAY SAFE~ yes

Another busy week. I think I am finally getting back into a more normal routine which has helped in keeping up with diet and exercise. I guess when you have too much on your plate you can slip. I agree time is going very fast and I really enjoy this time of year. We have not been as warm as you are. Here its in the 70F-80F which I really enjoy. It is still a week or two early for swimming. Looking forward to hear how your swim tracker works. Having your own pool is nice, but it does take a certain amount of work, and you really need an area with sunshine to warm the water. Having a pool nearby is also a good choice if you can exercise in it. We have the ocean, but it can be cold and rough which makes swimming diffcult. I enjoy a pool for swimming. This weekend will be nice weather so the majority time will be outdoors. This is the start of the summer so roads will be very busy on weekends, so will stay home to enjoy some peace and quiet. Everything is green and blooming so the yard is a nice place to relax. During the week it is quiet and a good time to have lunch overlooking the ocean before it gets real busy in July and August. Lunch is very cheap along the shore during the week. Enjoy your weekend.

@sail46

Hey there Sail!

Wow what a great check-in for you.. Good for you that things are getting back on track for you.. This is such a challenging time of year. When as we discussed last week, it should be or seem "easier"?!...

Your weather still sounds lovely where you are.. I love that Mid-70's to Mid-80s weather. Its perfect!... The 90's just make it better for "swimming purposes" lol... It really keeps that water nice and warm so that its not so cold!... I'm glad you are enjoying the weather and the outdoors and your yard. I need some landscaping done to mine so that we can enjoy ours more as well. Every year we say we are going to get done whats needed , and then it falls by the way side for something else~

I would LOVE to have lunch over-looking the Ocean.. What a wonderful time that is. Its great that you can do that and enjoy it on a regular basis before it gets too crowded. Its so beautiful and relaxing too. Enjoy!

Thanks so much for checking in this week to let us know how you've been doing!

My workout this week felt so-so. I was taking a fair number of breaks, my feet and wrists started hurting and then later on my back started to hurt. I had to go lighter on a weight not because of the muscle it was meant to work (a bicep curl, but it was in combination with some other stuff) but because of my wrists.

Even though I was backing off for good reasons I can leave feeling a bit down because it can make me start questioning myself, was today really harder than other workouts? Was I just being lazy and making excuses and not doing enough?

I've started paying more attention to my fit bit with workouts though, and while the feedback isn't immediate (I'm not pulling out my phone during) it can quash some of that self-doubt. My heart rate went higher and was in the peak range longer than the last few weeks. It wasn't as high as the workout about a month ago when I felt dizzy and my asthma was bad but I think even this time backing off a tinier bit more may have been better. I also didn't sit out an entire exercise, I did every one although some were modified or I wasn't working the entire time.

No long weekends here now that I can think of until Canada Day. Plans are to garden, and to loosen up from the stiffness from my workout. Feet are still pretty unhappy too, I did stretch yesterday, will try to do more of that consistently.

@AffyAvo

Hey there Affy,

Sorry to hear that your workouts weren't what you were hoping for (or comparable to previous check-in).. But, its great for you that you didn't have to sit out an entire exercise!..... doing "each" one (even if modified or having to take a break is STILL doing something and STILL counts!) and you were able to make it through~... Because of the issue I had with my back and my knee a few months back I have found myself being so careful with what I do now and how I find myself "moving" with my workouts..... and I find too that i have to now modify things that I didn't use to have to , as well as take a "mini-break" in between if I need it so to speak ....... But you know, our health comes first and should always be a priority... We have to do whats best for ourselves, I just have to remind myself that even as I age, and things are starting to feel a little "different" than before, that I'm still doing something.

My grandmother (long deceased).. at my current age, would never have been able to do the things I am currently doing now at this age...... I think about crazy little things like that. And try to remind myself that even with modifications and such that I'm still doing something good for this body. And I know that you always take extra precautions for yourself, and you know your body so you are doing an excellent job taking care of yourself!

I hope that you enjoyed your weekend gardening~ Still waiting on some photos! wink

Thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how things have been going for you!

@PoliteOcean I'll put up some pictures for the next checkin. I'm actually using pictures this year to document a bit of what's in a pot, as they get moved around and labels fade/fall off/get hard to see as the plant grows. I mostly write down everything in a journal with a bit of a map, but doesn't work the best for pots that get thrown in the shed for a storm.

Also last year I was guessing a bit as to what was where regarding my tomatoes as my husband did most of it while I was away for a funeral and his documentation greatly lacked!

Right now there's still lots of soil with not lots of growth but there's a few things up, July/Aug will give more interesting pictures.

@PoliteOcean This week went pretty smoothly except I had a hard time sleeping 4 nights in row. The first night some weird man was making loud noises when I was trying to sleep. They don't have security guards here and the police aren't going to do anything. The second night I was woken up at 4:30 a.m for a blood draw. They said then needed to take it when I was fasting. Well they could have come at 7 a.m., not 4:30 a.m. I sent them away. Lo and behold, some genius said "Gee, Regmo doesn't like being woken up at 4:30 a.m. let's do it again ! " So the third night I had another person come into my room at 4:30 a.m. for a blood draw. I let them do but I was too tired to get into an argument with them. The fourth night some idiot decided to clean the restroom at 6 a.m. and woke me up early. They've taken a blood sample 4 times this past week. I went to the endocrinologist on Tuesday and they said I'm still medically unstable. I finally got a reduction in my blood pressure medication, which is good, and I got a renewal for my anti-anxiety med, but I can only take one per day. My sister is coming down this weekend and going to retrieve items from my bedroom and bring them to rehab. I won't be allowed to move back to the condo because it is being sold. My insurance company is pressuring me to move on but I have no place to move on to. Now that I can't move back to the condo - I can't make any more bone broth.

@Regmo

Hey there Regmo I'm so sorry to hear that you are having such a difficult time where you are. Maybe you can discuss things with the supervising person in charge and let them know what your expectations are while you are staying there, and what your wishes are. You can let them know that getting good rest is important for your overall wellbeing and recovery and that you aren't getting that with what they are doing. And perhaps they can make accomadations.

Its great for you that you got a reduction in your medication. That is a good sign. As well as getting a renewal for your anxiety meds.

I'm so sorry to hear that they are getting rid of your condo. I do hope that perhaps a social worker or case worker of some sort can get involved to help you get it all sorted out and figure out a better living situation for you. Please keep us informed on how things are going for you. Thanks so much for checking in this week. Take care of yourself!

Sorry to hear that things have been so stressful for you... I know that "moving" or having to move can be stressful enough but when you compound that with having credit issues, I'm sure that it makes it a much more stressful feeling.

I do hope that you all get things figured out... Have you looked around your area to see if they have "Housing assistance"? Usually sometimes if you have this in your area, you can get assistance based on your income (Like if its low, or you have credit issues)....

Its good that you continue to try to keep your head up through your writings, and that you will try to enjoy the holiday by cooking some burgers!

Positive vibes sent to you and you family to get things sorted out! Thanks for checking in this week.. Please keep us infomred on how things are going for you and your family.

I wanted to know if anyone agrees with me that physical and emotional health can be affect by peoples energy and vibes.

@Wittykj1323

Hey there...

Yes absolutely... It all goes together... How we feel "one" way can affect us in other areas of our lives (physically mentally, and emotionally)..

Including Negative situations or people... These too can as well affect us and the way that we feel.

If I could sum up this month in a word, that word would be SICK! Not in the radical, tubular, dope-dank-positive sense, either. I've been ill almost constantly all month, haha. It was still wonderful, though.

The best thing to happen to me this month was when the guy I was dating asked me to be his girlfriend. :) He helps keep me healthy, and we were talking about how we wanna get back on our health regimens more diligently!

I'm very much looking forward to earning my swimsuit bod, and maybe doing healthy stuff with my boyfriend :)

Over Memorial Day I had a bunch of good food with my boyfriend and his friends and roommates! It was great.

I've been struggling with my physical health because I've been ill and not working out... But my mental health has been a highlight, because I've been so fulfilled and happy!

**This is our LAST check-in for the Month of MAY!... If you could "Sum" up this past month in "ONE" word, what would that word be?! Woah, I'm late! To sum up May in one word I would definitely say stressful!

**What is the best thing that happened for you over this past month? Kissing and hugging my boyfriend...on two occasions! The best thing in my whole life (This would be June). In May it would be another month anniversary with my boyfriend...3 months in May!

**What is the One thing you are looking forward to in the New Month ahead? What will you continue to work on? 4 months with my boyfriend and working on our relationship, from the May perspective.

**How many of you in the USA are celebrating the Long holiday weekend for MEMORIAL DAY (and the Un-official start of the Summer Season)!? What will you be doing?! I'm in England
