**AND ANY AND ALL NEWBIES!! PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE YOUR WEEK WITH US!
**This past week has been mostly the usual....I wasn't 100% on track or plan with everything (but, managed to keep up with activity/workouts/classes each day).... Its been a little busy as well getting back indoors with my Fitness classes, and having to adjust with things. But it was a really great first week back inside. I averaged 10 participants both days, and with the size of the room it went really well with everything, marked spacing, & social distancing etc..... (I've been back indoors with my Senior Gold Zumba class since early July and things have gone well there, so I just followed the procedures that we've been doing there) with my regular class. This all came just in time, as it got pretty chilly outside this week!
**This next week ahead will be a little busy ... with appointments and trying to adjust some classes with the Holiday. Holidays are always spent at my moms house. And she does the cooking. So just really looking forward to getting through the first few days, and spend the later half of the week with my family, and Thanksgiving at my moms. We did decide and manage to get our CHRISTMAS Tree up though lastnight. The hubby put it up, but it still needs decorated as well as the house..., so will do that throughout the next week to hopefully have it all completely done by next weekend after Thanksgiving. I like to take care of it early, so I have more time to enjoy it all.
**Yesterday (Fri) found me pretty busy running different errands to get things out of the way before the Holiday. And with lack of sleep and errands, I felt really drained most of the day. So Intentions this weekend are to just "Go with the Flow" in however I'm feeling. No plans or intentions to do much, or rather just do what I feel up to doing. ~
ENJOY THE WEEKEND~~
ENJOY THE HOLIDAY~~
@PoliteOcean
Well done on adjusting to your new indoors conditions !! Enjoy the holidays and rest well !
I feel like I’m saying this every week but… how come time is going so fast ?? This week was really tiring though, I kept making mistakes and ended up ruining a couple experiments… I’m almost done on one project though, I just need to figure out the statistics part... which I suck at because I skipped all the stats lectures oopsie!
I mostly stayed on tracks this week, except the random insomnia. So I’ll try and catch enough sleep and keep up with the rest. I’m really feeling mentally exhausted though, having a tough time focusing and connecting my remaining neurons… So I’ll try and relax Sunday, and do a bit of work to catch up while I’m rested.
I’m a bit worried for my grandfather though as he had a fall and couldn’t get back up at all for hours as he was alone. I’m also worried for my mother as it’s what happened to and ended her mother, so she’ll likely be stressed and hard to handle for a while, as the situation has reminded her of that… Which is totally understandable but yeah I’m too mentally exhausted right now to handle her bad mood, as bad as it sounds…
To end on a more positive note, I cooked lasagna for the first time ever, total improvisation, and it was super good! I’m glad that my cooking skills are getting better, since eating is difficult I really need to at least have something tasty enough to eat.
Take care!
@LinearWaves
Ha.. I totally agree... It seems like we no sooner post about our week, but then here we are posting again and it seems like only a few moments or fleeting days have passed in between that time! Lol... (I think that was another reason why I only did 'WEEKLY' check-ins for Healthy Living) b/c it just goes by so fast!
Sorry to hear that your week was a tiring one for you. I can certainly relate to that with you on some levels....And sorry to hear that you had some issues with your experiments. Hope that it wasn't anything too worriesome?!
Despite the above,(and your random insomnia) its great that you still managed to mostly remain on track! And good for you for making plans to cut out some time to catch up on rest. I rather make the time for it, than it to find the time and catch up with me!....
I think we are all just dealing with so much this year, that its causing alot of emotional and mental exhaustion which is also playing a part on how we are dealing with everything else in our lives as well.
I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather! Wow, I do hope that everything works out for him, and that he's ok. A similar situation happened with my own grandmother years ago (the one I told you about that got me hooked on Horror movies as a child).... She took a really bad fall in the middle of the night, down the stairs... She was never quite the same "physically" after that. Broke our hearts..... It can certainly take a toll on the family. I can remember out of all my grandmothers 8 children, that My own mom was the one who ended up doing most of the work (as the oldest daughter). So I can remember my own mother being really stressed ALL THE TIME... and her many irritated moods. Which made it very hard to be around her. So My condolences to you all. I know how tough a time that can be. I hope it all works out. Please keep us informed on how things continue to go.
How cool you made Lasagna!.. Nice!.. I love that. Haven't had it in a while, and never made it myself. I've been wanting to, but never got there yet. I'm pretty simple and stick to very basic things (not alot of actual baking or cooking involved where I can avoid it) lol!... Lol.. but you've inspired me!
Thanks so much for checking in this week and keeping us up to date on things! Please continue to check back and let us know how things are going. Take care!
@PoliteOcean
Thank you for your answer and kind words as always very appreciated <3
I’m really sorry to hear about your grandmother, actually exactly the same happened to mine and she was never the same as well, physically but also mentally… It sure ends up being stressing for the family, directly and indirectly when handling the resulting moods and worries. And it’s understandable but yeah, hard to be around someone in this mood. Yet considering the fact that my mother’s sister is not going to help at all, my own sister isn’t too reliable, maybe my sister’s bf will have ideas and help a little bit, but yeah I’m kinda the only one that she can vent to and ask for opinions and help… Hopefully it was just a one time incident and nothing bad, plus thankfully he didn’t hurt himself when falling!
The lasagna were really super easy, plus you can put whatever you want in them! I really don’t like cooking for long as well, when it comes to cooking I want something fast, easy but tasty :p
Thanks again, take care!
@PoliteOcean This is how the past week went. Monday I had a therapy appointment. It went well. I had to stop fixing my own lunches, and go back to my house managers lousy lunches.
My creepy roomie Stuart is eating his meals in his room some of the time, which makes me happy.
I received and sent back the complaint form on my ex-caretaker Deysi. I studied accounting for a couple of days but then went back to statistics. The feelings of meaningless have gone down ever since I've been studying things that are more business oriented, but they are always in the background. My girlfriend Michelle agreed to come visit me for Valentine's Day.
I just hope she isn't a fraud. I'm sort of getting burned out on watching relationship videos on the internet, because most of them are about romance, and that's not my issue. I'm several months ahead of my therapist on material I need to deal with. For this upcoming week, I have another therapy appointment on Monday, and Tuesday I have an appointment at the hair salon.
@Regmo
Hey there!...
Glad for you that your Therapy appointment went well for you on Monday. Its always good when they go well, or you at least feel that they are productive. Are you being seen "in person"? Or are you doing Zoom appointments or phone appointments?..Sorry to hear again for you that you had to stop making your own lunches and had to go back to lunches that you don't really want. I'm just glad over-all that you are still being fed and have food to eat. Even if its food that you don't quite desire. Hopefully it won't be for too long?! I Hope that things take a better turn for you and your caretaker situation moving forward! And I'm glad for you that your feelings of meaningless have gone down for you. Its always great to feel a little better and have improvements in our feelings and emotions! How nice for you that you and your girlfriend are making "future" plans to see one another! Thats great to have something to look forward to. And it still gives you a bit of time to get to know more about her before she comes. Hopefully all your appointments for the upcoming week ahead will go well for you. And how nice to have a hair appointment to look forward to. I'm sure that will feel good to get pampered for a bit! I always like the part where they wash and massage my head for bit. It was a always a great de-stressor for me. Thanks again for checking in this week, and for continuing to keep us informed on how things are going for you! Always good to hear from you each week. Take care and talk soon!
Staying on the track and finding ways to stay motivated despite the season change!

@Rebekahwriter13
Hey Rebekah Great to see you this week!
Sorry to hear about your friendships. That can be really difficult. I've had some similar issues with acquaintences that I had gotten close to as well this year. Seems like if you lose them though, that its not meant to be a friendship. That its ended for a reason and purpose. But, it still doesn't make us feel any better so I can understand how that feels.
Great job to you on making better choices and better swaps for yourself! Swapping out sodas for teas is a great choice and a great start! Keep up the great work!
Hanging out with my family during the Holidays is the best part for me as well.... Having roof over your head and great food is certainly the icing on the cake!
Certain aspects of Corona have certainly been challenging on many of us for many various reasons..... This year has certainly challenged many of us in many ways. Hopefully your nightmares over this will find themselves discipating for you and be gone soon.
How great for you that you are dealing with your feelings and emotions through your writing. I know for some that can be therapeutic. Alot like journaling does.
Thanks so much for letting us know how you have been doing and for coming to check in with us this week. Its good to hear from you! Please check back to let us know how things continue to go for you.
