🍁 This past week went well... Kept on track for the most part with all activity, water, & sleep went well...The weather has become a bit more milder than last week, and I was able to get out for a bit with my Furbaby for a few walks as well. On Thanksgiving Day I decided to just enjoy the day with my family and treat myself in moderation.

🌻 I have kept on track with my workouts and activity this week, but with the Thanksgiving Holiday there were only minimal classes. And after thinking over some things, I have decided to continue my Workouts/classes/ and activities at a different facility starting next week.... I do love the facility that I have been with for the past month, but, I have found a different Center that will allow me more opportunities with a better schedule to help keep me on track (and not jeopardize my sleep) by offering later morning classes. I will most likely transfer to the newer facility, and then keep "one" day a week at the prior facility since I can do ZUMBA there and it has a Sauna room that I enjoy afterwards.

🍁 No major plans for this weekend, but will be doing some minor Pre-Christmas/Holiday shopping and get out and about for a bit.

@PoliteOcean

Hi, Ocean,

How has your week been? It's been odd and beautiful and ok. My last day working for my sister was this week and she made it clear she doesn't want to ever see me again. Thanksgiving/thursday was beautiful as the weather here has been lovely and my cat, Chloe, and I spent the day together and napped in the afternoon. Yesterday and today are ok, as I found out my start day of my new job has been postponed. They're not done with the background check yet.

🌾 How was your Thanksgiving Holiday?......In what ways were you able to make "Healthy choices"? I guarded my mental health. It's important to me.

🍂 We are entering the Last week of November.... What would you like to get accomplished for yourself? I want to start making a couple healthy choices.

🍁 JUST FOR FUN: What was the BEST thing that happened for you this week?! My last day of working for my sister was this week and that was one of the healthiest choices I have made for myself in a long time.

🌾What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" this week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?! As much as I wanted to engage my sister in conversation, I didn't. I have learned that I can't trust anything that she says. So, it's better for my mental health if I keep my distance.

Hey there Tree~

It seems like you had a good "mix" of a week?! ... Sorry to hear that your sister has still been seemingly difficult. Despite that, It's great that you enjoyed your Thanksgiving Day and that you had beautiful weather for it. And that you and "Chloe" were able to enjoy together! Naps are nice for sure. I know background checks seem to take alot longer than they used to for some reason. My husband started a new job last year about this time, and it took them about 3 months to finish it before he could start. I imagine yours definitely wouldn't take that long for the school.

That is awesome for you that you stayed on guard with your Mental Health and wellbeing. That is VERY important for sure!!..And I applaud you for wanting to make some healthier choices for yourself. Way to go! Good for you and keep up the great work with that! And good for you for doing what was "best" for you and distancing yourself from toxic people and situations! Also very important for our wellbeing.

It sounds like you had a quite a week, but a positive one for sure. Thank you so much for sharing with us and keeping us up to date with things and how you're continuing to do. Please continue to check back and let us know how things are continuing to go!

🍁 How has your week been?

Ear infection still at large...seems a bit better but am concerned about being prescribed what I was - listening to a retired doctor provide their experiences throughout their life and career and how he hopes that his perspective continues the conscious inquiry into how healing is done has me thinking.

My birthday was last weekend. There was some tri-life crisis vibes. But many wonderful things happened to counteract that and give me hope and a bit of peace and more understanding.

That's the PG version, anyway....

Sharp moments of the starkest and most profound feelings of grief, rage, nervousness mixed with anxiety and fear, doubts, moments that feel like eternity...these aren't easy times, yet it's odd when what we think is so terrible ends up being so much less difficult than we thought, or we get through it realize maybe we can do difficult things...

Of course only to have our limits tossed in our faces time and time again. We must be such warriors in our lives. Willing to rise over and over and over.

Anyway.

@Dallady

Hey there... Thats too bad that you are still dealing with that ear infection... I'm sure thats been a challenge. Thats good though that things seem even a "bit" better with it. Hopefully for you it will be a thing of the past soon.

How wonderful for you that you celebrated a birthday and despite the (crisis vibes) that you were able to enjoy the many other wonderful things that "counteracted" those vibes. Its always good to have and hold on to hope. As well as having a bit of peace and understanding. I hear that for sure.

Ahhh... yes, such a revelation to deal and go through so many emotions that seem to (at the time or in the moment) turn our lives topsy-turvy, then to realize and discover that yes, maybe we made more of the situation than what it was or what it had to be. That we survived and got through it. Its not easy, but we do it. Still we Rise~

Thank you so much for checking in and sharing your week and feelings with us. Please let us know how you are continuing to do. We are here for you.

  • @PoliteOcean Here's how the past week went. I did nothing Sunday through Friday because I had no electricity in my bedroom. Dennis has been gone for 7 weeks. I don’t know what is taking him so long to get better. He didn’t have that bad of a crisis. Maybe they’re teaching him not to urinate in inappropriate places. I wish I could get caught up on my movie watching, but I hate watching movies on TV.. I have a lot of DVD’s but they’re in storage. Sunday I watched church for 1 hour. Monday morning my PTSD was bothering me and still bothering me on Tuesday. I felt a little better Wednesday morning but in the afternoon I ate some chocolate cake and felt bad for a couple of hours. Wednesday night Leslie served dinner 30 minutes late and I wound up overeating. Thursday morning I was looking forward to a nice quiet day but Leslie and Nia were yakking in the dining room and disrupted the football game. It put me in a bad mood all day. I didn’t do anything special for Thanksgiving but I like it that way. I posted a pro-Christian video on social media and it got removed. Leslie’s period pad box was sitting on the dining room table for 10 days before she removed it. My new supplement arrived on Friday. I need about another $100 worth of supplements. I should never have stopped taking supplements but if I can’t afford it I don’t know what I’m supposed to do about it. Saturday the electricity was working long enough for me to read my Bible for 10 minutes. Tunde took me to the library and I read philosophy of art for 20 minutes. I went for 1 walk this entire week. I have $3659 worth of food stamps on my food stamp card.

@Regmo

Hey there Regmo.. wow, thats a long time to be without Electricity, hopefully someone is doing something about that and working on getting it fixed for you. I can't believe its been that long since Dennis has been gone. Time flies.... Hopefully all is well with him wherever he is or in whatever is going on with him. THats the thing about PTSD, we never know when it will hit and be a bother. Seems like being able to watch some TV or movies could help with that or be a good coping mechanism to help divert your mind somewhere else even if for a bit. Thats too bad that Leslie still has the dining schedule off course, and that your game was disrupted. I don't like when people are 'yakking' either when I'm trying to focus and concentrate on something. That can surely be a bit irritating. Thats really strange that your Christian video got removed. I wonder why? Not sure where you posted it or what the policies are though. Seems to me as long as it wasnt' something "offensive" that it shouldn't have been removed. I probably would've filed a complaint if the option was given to do so. Thats censorship..... Supplements can surely be expensive which is a shame since they are supposed to be helpful. Thats good you were able to read your Bible even if only for a short time. What on earth is going on with the electric there? Thats nice that Tunde took you to the Library and that at least you got some time there to catch up on your reading. And good that you were able to get at least One walk in. Every little bit can be helpful. Thanks for checking in this week and keeping us up to date on whats been happening in your week, and sharing. And on how things have been continuing to go for you.

🌾 How was your Thanksgiving Holiday?......In what ways were you able to make "Healthy choices"?

It was good, albeit quiet.

I made a nice dinner, appetizer and dessert.

Because I have health issues, I substituted healthier ingredients where possible. I did allow for a little splurging for the holiday though.

@UberRuminator

Hi there Uber, Its great to hear from you this week.....
Thats great for you that your Holiday was nice and quiet and that it went good for you!

I think that is awesome that you took time to be mindful of incorporating "healthier" ingredients where you were able to! Good for you! It can be pretty easy to find accommodating ingredients to swap out without compromising a good recipe or dish. And nothing wrong with a little "splurging" as well, Moderation is key, and we deserve to enjoy as well! Keep up the great work you are doing!

Thank you for checking in and sharing with us this week and letting us know how your holiday went for you! Please keep us up to date on how things are continuing to go.

@PoliteOcean

Thank you PoliteOcean. Yours words are comforting. Don't like this time of year. Depression has set in but I'm working on getting through it. I even got out of the house to set up my gym membership. The way I feel, that was a monumental feat...lol. I did it. It's nice to be on the other side of doing something hard but GOOD for yourself...feeling a little pride. So, yeah... keeping on keeping on...

Thank you for your post. ❤️😊☀️
