🍂 This past week was a little up and down.. but ultimately it went pretty well. I Kept on track with activities, water, & the continuing goals that I have been setting for myself each week over the past Month.... However, My sleep was off & a little up & down this week which also created some 'slow slumps' of energy, but in the end I pushed through and kept going.

🎃 I'm continuing with AQUA ZUMBA 2x/week, Walking 3x/Week, and in the coming week ahead start working on incorporating Strength/Toning again. Little by little after 11 years of Instructing Fitness, I'm finally starting to get back on track again after my Long personal break from everything this year. And will continue to "tweak my goals" little by little as we enter the Holiday season.

👻 This weekend the Fall Festivals continue to be in 'Full Effect".... So will continue to pick one or two to attend And possibly throw a 'Ghost Tour" in there somewhere. Afterall it is October!... And the "NEW Halloween Movie" is officially out as of Today. So will definitely be checking that out for the evening since it can be 'Streamed'! And wherever else the Weekend leads us!

@PoliteOcean Here’s how the past week went. As you already know, Sunday Dennis went to the hospital. Sunday I was stressed for other reasons so I didn’t do much. I read my poetry book 6 times this week. Monday and Saturday I studied art history. Monday night I watched “American Dad” for two hours. It was a refreshing break from the regular routine. Tuesday I took a shower. Wednesday and Thursday I studied philosophy of art. Wednesday my Obama phone broke. After much stress, it finally started working again. The problem is my laptop and browser were breaking down at the same time. Eventually I got both of them working again. Wed, Thu, and Fri I went for a walk. Friday Tunde took me to the library but there were too many children, so we went to a second library. There were too many children there also so I had to skip my philosophy of art for Friday. I’m almost finished with my philosophy of art book but I don’t have the money to buy any new books. Furthermore, storage space is very limited around here. For this upcoming week, I don’t have any appointments. Leslie has a new caretaker who lives at the house, her name is Nia. She’s from Tonga and has an obnoxious voice. I found another digital ministry who is looking for online mentors, but unfortunately they require a pastoral reference. I think pastoral references are stupid because if I go to a church of 2000 people, how do they expect a pastor to be friends with 2000 people? Furthermore, getting too close to your pastor can be a bad idea because once I learn what their weaknesses are, I lose respect for them. Poetry quote of the week “Tomorrow is easy, today is uncharted. “ John Ashbery

@Regmo

Hey there Regmo, I know how challenging it can feel being stressed out. I felt a little of the same myself last week with something in particular. Prayerfully it will be a great week ahead though. Thats great that you were able to get in your reading time with your poetry, studying your art history, and watching a movie as well. That does sound like quite a change-up since I've never really seen you talk about watching TV much. Its always cool to do something different that maybe we haven't done in a while. Thats even better that you took a shower and was able to get your phone (and laptop) working again! And how awesome that you were able to get in so many walks too. This certainly is a great time of year to do so. I've been doing much of the same myself and the weather has been so great for it. How nice that Tunde was able to take you to the library despite not being able to enjoy it in the way you wanted. But last week was a School holiday for many in the US...that could be why all the kids? But.. maybe you can try again this coming week. Thats interesting that theres another caretaker in the house. I never heard of Tonga though. Sounds like Africa? Is the caretaker there for everyone, or for someone else specifically. Does the Pastoral reference have to come from a pastor of a "Bigger" church? Or does any church count? I'm sure there may be smaller churches? Maybe in smaller towns, or more rural areas. Nice poetry quote, I believe I've read that before some time ago. Perhaps you can leave us with a new one each week from your book? Thanks for checking in this week and sharing with us as always. And of course continue to keep us updated on how things are continuing to go for you.

@PoliteOcean

My struggle this week is dealing with a difficult change. With my insurance I'm designated an assistant. They are called a 'navigator.' They're suppose to help insured people on a more personal basis to 'navigate' their individual health care needs. I had a wonderful navigator for over a year. She helped me through the process of my son dying. Then sadly, she helped me with his death and my initial grieving process. Then, all of a sudden she's gone. Not a word of warning or a good bye.

Anyway, I had to go through a bunch of crap to get through on the phone only to find out this surprise. I told the new 'navigator' how I felt so I hope they do something about these abrupt changes. It's NOT that I'm upset over this change. It's the way it was handled. I'm reasonable. People change positions or change jobs. Get that totally. It's just that this one was a hard one to see end the way it did because of what she helped me through.

The new navigator seems to be okay. She talks really fast though...lol. Have to see how she goes to bat for me. She's dealing with some issues for me now.

And--- I'm making progress on organizing my room.

Hello to everyone here.... if I don't get back here before the end of the month, Happy Halloween! May what ever you do to celebrate be fun and safe, esp if you have children. Here they have what's called trunk & treat. People buy candy and put it in their trunk and park in a big church parking lot. The kids walk through all the cars and pick out candy from all the trunks... very safe.

@EmbStitcher33

Hey there Stitch... So sorry to hear about the struggle regarding your Navigator...( I know here we call them Liaisons) .... i've never had one and wish that I did. But I'm sure its been difficult for you to lose one that you trusted in and felt good about. Just to not be told or notified about it beforehand in some way.

Thats good that you are working on and making progress with room organization. I love when things like that come together. And hard work pays off.

We hope to see you before the end of the Month, but if not, we wish you a Happy and Safe Halloween as well. We have both Trick or Treat and Trunk or Treat as well. I never really understood the "Trunk or Treat" until I moved south. In the North we Always had Trick or Treat only. But I do understand at the same time it can be safer for the Kids.

Thank you for checking in this past week and letting us know how things are going for you. Please continue to keep us up to date on how you are doing.

How is everyone doing this week?

it's been up and down for me but I AM ECSTATIC cuz i just got prescribed a medication for my anxiety that i know for fact actually works yayy!

🍂 We are officially "Half way" Through October already!.. This month is already flying by so fast. How are things going for you so far this month? What are some monthly highlights for you so far, And what are you still looking forwards to?

I found out I have stomach ulcers and I have a hyperintensity in my brain and I'm assuming that means brain damage, but, I'm doing my best to stay positive through the health issues and take good care of myself even though I have some bad habits I have to work through like skin picking, smoking cigarettes, caffeine, and eating anything spicy.
I am looking forward to my books, my shows, my medication, hanging out with my cat, praying, and music.

🌜 How is everyone doing with the "Site Changes" here at CUPS so far? Is anyone having any issues finding things here in Healthy Living, or any issues that you'd like to discuss this week?

🎃 How is everyone doing this week?

Up down, all around.

🍂 We are officially "Half way" Through October already!.. This month is already flying by so fast. How are things going for you so far this month?

Rough month.

What are some monthly highlights for you so far, And what are you still looking forwards to?

No highlights.
Not sure what to look forward to...daily coffee and book club?

🌜 How is everyone doing with the "Site Changes" here at CUPS so far? Is anyone having any issues finding things here in Healthy Living, or any issues that you'd like to discuss this week?

What site changes?

I think the disability support room being basically dead all the time is a reflection of skewed priorities and the fears and doubts that drive our society.

👻 JUST FOR FUN: (Its The Month of October, you can only choose One)...... Which One would You rather NOT come across on Halloween night, (Jason, Michael Myers, or Freddy Kruger?!

People in general are all pretty terrifying to me still.

🎃What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" this week?

Highlights: volunteering in the Sharing Circle

Struggles: boundaries and anxiety

How were you able to work through your challenges?!

Still working on it - a self care routine in the morning and evening, goal setting, body and mind and spirit neutrality.

🍂 What would "YOU" Like to talk about, add or share with us this week?!

Acting one's wage; the power shift from one of fear and doubt to realizing the depth of resilience.

@Dallady

Hey there.. Sounds like your week overall was as expected? Some highs, some lows, and some in-between moments?..... Sorry to hear that you've had a tough time this month and that it was a rough one for you. As we know, some will be better than others. But its good that you are you have something to look forwards to with your book club, Volunteering with the Sharing Circle, (and your daily cup of Mojo)! Being able to enjoy even the smallest of things is a positive.

As far as site changes, I'm sure you must've seen by now that the "Forum Structure" has changed and is quite different than before?

Its great for you that you are continuing to work on a Self-Care routine for yourself (very important to have that).....And setting setting some Overall wellness goals. Good for you, and keep up the great work there with that.

Thanks for checking in this week to simply share with us and for continuing to keep us up to date with how you are doing and how things are going.
