**This past week found me in a similar mode to last week... My leg is still healing up from whatever I did to it. So workouts/activity have still been low to avoid any further injury. Fortunately with the Monday U.S. holiday, I wasn't too concerned with teaching or having any classes that day.... By Thursday, I was able to move a little better and was able to at least teach my Zumba GOLD class with my "active seniors". I just took my time and modified where needed which is very easy to do with them. The weather was amazing the entire week so I was also able to get out with my dog as well and get a few short, easy walks in with him too.
**Staying on track with meal planning and such has not been up to par recently. This is my Birthday month, and with so much going on in my life recently with various things, Mentally I just had to hang up the phone on any "Planned meals or tracking". I just needed to NOT think too much about things these past few weeks and just take things day by day, moment by moment. But meanwhile in that time, got a few good reports & news on a few different situations. And just waiting on a few other things to come through & come together prayerfully by the end of the month.
** I remember the first time I started my Fitness journey was 10 years ago (In Nov. 2010). I Started BOTH Weight Watchers and ZUMBA in the same week~.... So my anniversary on that is coming up in a couple of weeks. And it made me stop and think about where I was then and where I'm at now. I've come such a long way in that time with some things, while kind of remaining the same with others..... So After celebrating my upcoming Birthday before the end of the month with my family, I decided to make some new plans, changes and focuses again to align with that Anniversary date. And to align with my goals moving into the holiday season and the end of the year.
**No major plans this weekend other than to enjoy the beautiful weather we are having. And to continue healing up. There are 2 local festivals in our area that we plan to go check out. "Donned in our Masks" of course.~
ENJOY THE WEEKEND~
I feel great this week because on Thursday, I found out I was accepted into medical school! The news really made my whole month, and my whole year honestly. After working hard for the past three and a half years, I can finally relax a little. This month I still have quite a few assignments and exams to study for, but at least now I can rest at ease knowing I am going to medical school.
@99sunshine Congratulations ! That's totally awesome !
@99sunshine
Congratulations!
@99sunshine

Thank you for keeping us up to date on things and letting us know how it all worked out for you! Please continue to check back and let us know how things are proceeding for you ahead moving forward.
Thanks for checking in... and now you can breathe a *sigh* of relief~ lol
@PoliteOcean. Here's how this past week went. Monday I had an appointment with my therapist. Our meetings are going well, but I have so much trauma, it takes a long time to get through it all. Thursday I had an appointment with my psychiatrist. It went well. They are going to adjust my medications, so hopefully that will have an impact. I'm still waiting for my "remedy" from my homeopath. I'm hoping that will have an impact also. I didn't go for any walks this past week. My legs are sooooo tight from sitting down all day. I am unable to cook my own lunches now, which is disappointing. I met this new woman, Michelle, but it takes a long time to get to know someone. I try to always be open for new friends, even though some of them turn out to be unscrupulous. I'm stopped studying the bond and stock market, and started studying pure mathematics. I started a new short book on Zephaniah, Haggai, and Malachi.
@Regmo
Hey there Regmo! Good to hear that you were able to make all your appointments this past week and that things seem pretty positive as far as those go. Dealing with truama certainly can take awhile. Its not an easy road and yes it takes time. But its great that you have someone that is able to help you to get through it and deal with it all. Not having that help there can be so much worse. Hopefully your "remedy" will come sooner rather than later. Its good that they are still working on that for you. Hopefully this week ahead will find you up and moving around a little more so that your legs won't feel so tight. I know I've felt the same way since hurting my leg 2 weeks ago. All I wanted to do was sit and rest it, yet I know that we also need to be up and moving some as well so that tight muscles don't happen. As that only makes it feel a little more worse off at times. I know its been disappointing for you to not be able to cook your own lunches. I'm hoping for you that the social worker stops by to bring you something edible. Its nice to hear that you have met someone! Its nice to have someone to talk with and share things with. I do hope that you find that all of this works out and goes well for you. I know its hard to trust someone new that comes into our lives. As it certainly does take time to truly get to know someone. Ugh.. Mathematics. Surely NOT my cup of tea! lol... My son is a Math Wiz~ He certainly didn't get it from me. I'm terrible at it. Its so great for you that Math is something that you are into. I wish I was more. I think its always so cool to meet or know someone who is so good at Math. I wish I had that relation to it to understand it more beyond the basic or business math. Thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how things are going for you. Take care!
Hello @PoliteOcean
This week has been an odd one for me, I did not have my usual work schedule so my workout schedule has been difficult. I worked out a couple of days but eating wise was not at par, working nights (and not my usual) makes it so easy to fall off the mindful eating habits haha.
What I did do new is I went Kayaking. It isnt too hot anymore to be out on the water to Kayak. I will be incorporating this in my routine. It feels amazing to be out in nature. Hiking is coming back again, so super excited. I have a couple of friends wanting to do these activities with me...yay me :D
Halloween is ooo definitely a holiday in my household. We are 90% ready to have trick or treaters come...cant wait. This is my first year, in a long time, to be on this healthy living journey during the holidays. I will attempt to stay with my mindful eating and drinking my water.
This week will be a new week and will continue to be better at my journey.
Hope you have a great week :D
@Keola
Hey girl!.. So glad to see you checking in regularly with us!
Even despite the change in the "Work" schedule, it still sounds like you are doing a great job at keeping up with things. You are taking into account the things that got you off track, while keeping up and staying on plan with what you can! The important thing is that you didn't give in, or give up because there was a 'change' of some sort to your schedule. Many times (outside of motivation) this is where people allow themselves to cave in or give up and then fall off track again. But Its great to see that that you are continuing to move forward and have incorporated "Kayaking" plans to help keep you moving! And that you have friends that not only want to share in this adventure, but can also help keep you accountable in it too! And lets not forget about the fun-factor of it all
I think you are doing amazing! And Its great to see that you are already thinking of the holidays ahead! This is such a challenging time for many to stay on track. And its great to see that you are already planning ahead for it all! Being Mindful and continuing with keeping track of your water intake are great starts to the season!
Continue to keep up the great work that you are doing! And for continuing to be an inspiration here with your goals! Thank you so much for checking in this week!
How do you feel this month is going for you so far? What is ONE thing you'd like to accomplish before the end of the month? What "small steps" will you take to do that? - I love this time of year and i'm hoping to get a call back for a job.
**Have you incorporated any "New" Healthy Habits for yourself in the past week? If so, what was it?.... If not, What is something that you are continuing to work or improve upon before this month ends?! - I have been eating healthy food and feel better health wise.
**We are getting so close to the holiday season! Some might even say we've already entered it?! If you celebrate, What is your favorite holiday this time of year? Do you consider Halloween to be a holiday? This time of the year can find us in a different mode with so many different "treats" around us from Oct-Dec.... What is one way that you keep this time of the year "HEALTHY" for yourself?! - I love Halloween and Christmas. I do celebrate both and still manage to eat healthy.
@Goldcherry2113
Hey there!
I love this time of year too. And good luck on getting that call-back that you are looking for on a possible job! How great for you.
How awesome that you are continuing to eat healthier and that you are feeling good! Thats the benefit of it all. The more we take care of ourselves the better we can feel overall. Eating healthier is a great start in it all.
How great that you are able to manage to stay on track through the holiday season. It can be tricky and challenging for many to do so without feeling that they've overdone it somehow. Its great for you that you are able to stay on top of it all! Great job. Keep up all the great work that you are doing! And thanks for checking in this week and letting us know how things are going for you.
