🌻 This past week just flew by~.... Started off with Pre-Fall weekend Festival last weekend. Very busy and enjoyable. Kept up with appointments, water, and AQUA Zumba Classes. Sleep was a little off-track this week, so will continue to work on that.
🍂 The weather here continued to be AMAZING this past week. Giving us a last "Summer Hoorah" of sorts. It was in the 90s here. So very warm. Was able to get in lots of Pool Time,and Walks with my Furbaby..... Along with the Aqua Zumba classes. It feels great to be incorporating more activity & getting back to more Fitness again since my Summer Wellness break.
🌻 Seems like Fall arrived right on time, as the weather is slightly cooler as of Friday, and will continue to remain this way over the next week... It actually feels REALLY good with the cooler air. But its still Sunny and Beautiful. So we will be going to another Fall Festival this weekend that is in our area, and maybe the County Fair. Fall is in the air~
@PoliteOcean
What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" this week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?!
I have been occupied with work more than before. So much that I am not able to set aside enough time for self care. It's been reflecting in the muscle tensions that I feel over the weekend.
🍂 What would "YOU" Like to talk about, add or share with us this week?! ....WE want to hear from YOU!
To anyone reading this, including me,
Let's try to set aside at least 15 mins a day, even if it's 5 mins at a time for self care time. Little pauses and stretches can go a long way.
We owe it to ourselves ❤️
@DonaldDraper
Hey there DD~ So great to see you check in this week.
Sorry to hear that work is keeping you as busy as it is... We certainly have to try to find time to take care of ourselves. Before the 'time" finds "us"! (in negative ways)... I hope that you are able to incorporate some of that for yourself soon.
Thank you for sharing some words of advice regarding "Self care" time.. I totally agree...(I personally make sure to include this for myself every day) somewhere along the lines... And you're right, We DO owe that much to ourselves and our bodies and minds (and spirits)! ❤️
Please continue to let us know how you are doing DD, and how things are going for you. Stop back and share with us the ways that you are finding to incorporate some Selfcare time!
@PoliteOcean
🌞 How are you today?.....How was your week?
- I'm doing pretty good, it's been a long week of accomplishing goals and finishing up assignments. I feel tired but satisfied and will now make sure I'm getting proper sleep and less screen time.
🍂 Its now Officially AUTUMN (Or Fall) for many of us~.... What do you love MOST about the Fall season? ...What things are you "looking forwards" to Most in this new season ahead?
- I love the aesthetic overall of the Halloween/Thanksgivingthemes, foods, festivals. The pumpkins and various color leaves dancing along the streets and sidewalks, I love the sound of wind through leaves 🍃
🌞 Just for Fun: What is your Favorite Healthy Autumn/Fall activity?!
- Long walks on breezy fall mornings, fall is when I'm the most active outside
🌻What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" this week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?!
- I learned that its not about how quickly I get through my goals, its how well I do
🍂 What would "YOU" Like to talk about, add or share with us this week?! ....WE want to hear from YOU!
- I just really enjoy being here ☺️ Thank you for these weekly check ins Ocean!
@SirenOfSerenity
Hey there Siren! .. So lovely to see you check-in with us this week. ~
Thats great that you are doing so well, and that you spent your week accomplishing goals for yourself and getting assignments completed. Sounds like very productive week for you despite feeling tired. But its great that you find personal satisfaction from it all.
Thats great that you are working on your sleep schedule (same here!) ...and that you are staying rested and hydrated! (Both VERY important)! And how awesome for you that you have accomplished all of your 2022 goals already!!???! Like WOW!! Great job and keep up the great work!
@PoliteOcean
Hi, Ocean,
How are you today?.....How was your week? Today I have been shakey. My week has been stressful.
🍂 Its now Officially AUTUMN (Or Fall) for many of us~.... What do you love MOST about the Fall season? ...What things are you "looking forwards" to Most in this new season ahead? I don't like the fall. I hope to find a new job. That's the only thing I'm looking forward to.
🌞 Just for Fun: What is your Favorite Healthy Autumn/Fall activity?! nothing. I don't like fall.
🌻What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" this week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?! My cat, Chloe, was ill. I took her to the vet and it was as I suspected. She is improving now with medication.
@purpleTree4652
Hey there Tree!~
We're sorry to hear that you had a stressful week!.. We hope that this week is going better for you.
I think its great that you want to work on being calmer and also looking for a new job! Good for you. Having a job can give you some purpose and a focus. So hopefully that will happen for you.
What is it about FALL that you don't care for?... I have to say, this must be a first to hear that somebody 'doesn't' like Fall. ... (I personally love Summer), but, Fall is nice to see the changing colors and Halloween. What is your favorite season?
Thats really great that things worked out well for you Cat. I know how important our pets our. So thats great for you that she is improving for you with medication.
Thanks for checking in this week and keeping everyone up to date on how things are going for you. Continue to check back and let us know how things are continuing to go, and how your cat is doing.
I found out my daughter is going to have her thyroid removed. I'm very worried about her. Having your thyroid removed means you have to really pay attention to your life style... so, feeling stressed, worried... hard to let go of this, especially considering the loss of my son.
I'm angry with my other son who couldn't find a way to try and see me when we were up North. His sick dog was more important. I mean... he knew I was coming...
I need to breathe...
(thanks for letting me vent)
@EmbStitcher33
Hey there Stitch!
So sorry to hear about your daugther. ... I'm sure you must be very concerned, and its understandable that you are feeling worried. Rest assured that it is a very common procedure. And that taking daily medication will also help with replacing the hormones needed as well. And just like anything else, continuing to take care of our overall health and wellbeing.
If you are having any concerns that you can't seem to let go, you can always (if you already haven't) get some reassurance from your daughters primary healthcare provider. It might help to put you at more ease about it, and answer any concerns you might have.
I;m so sorry to hear about 'both' your sons. As a mother/parent, I can understand all the emotions. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. And that your remaining son couldn't make the time to see you. I'm sure that made you feel upset and (perhaps rejected). So I can understand it can be a challenge in dealing with those feelings as a parent from our own children.
I do hope that things work themselves out for you and your son.... that you can work through what you're feeling, (perhaps even let him know how he made you feel)? And that "HE" can also see how it must've made you feel as well. And good luck with everything regarding your daughter. Please keep us updated on how everything continues to go.
We are ALWAYS here and open, for you to 'VENT' "Anytime"!. Thank you for allowing us to be here for you and to listen. And we are here to support you!
@PoliteOcean Here’s how the past week went. I was consistent with my devotional time. Monday I went for a walk through my neighborhood. Sunday, Tuesday and Friday I studied art history. Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday I studied philosophy of art. I went for a walk on Thursday. Tunde had Friday off because he had to go to a funeral. One thing I like about Tunde is he doesn’t cheat on his time card like Deysi did. Another thing I like about him is that he is punctual. Sometimes I wonder if Leslie is aware that she is living with sick people. I’m glad I’m on a good track now with my art history book and philosophy of art book after wasting the entire month of August on my Coursera course. I recently purchased a poetry book but it hasn’t arrived yet. It’s really hard to find hardcover poetry books. One issue is that storage space is very limited around here. This past week I got a referral list from the County of Alameda for potential therapists. Most of them were out of my geographical area but I called about 4 of them on Friday afternoon. Hopefully I will hear something. For this upcoming week, I’m going to try to complete the renewal forms for my government benefits and continue to study. I’m happy to announce that, after much frustration, I finally arranged a pastoral counseling appointment with the senior pastor of one of the local churches. It’s going to be on Wednesday by Zoom. I prefer meeting in person because my sparkling personality doesn’t really come through on Zoom. My ultimate goal is to become a member but I can’t contribute any money and I can’t attend the services, so I don’t know if the senior pastor is going to go for it.
@Regmo
Hey Regmo~... Thats great that you were able to continue with and stay consistent with your devotional time, keeping up with your walks, & studying your art history over the past week. Thats great for you that things seem to be working out with Tunde and that he's been punctual as well. And that things are going better than they did with Deysi. Hopefully you will hear something in regards to potential therapists (even if they are out of the area). Thats great that you have finally made progress with getting the pastoral counseling that have been wanting, Even if it isn't in the way you desire. I guess Zoom is better than nothing considering you've been working at it for so long. Hopefully they can work something out for you considering your situation. Keep us updated on how that meeting goes for you. Thanks for checking in this week and letting us know how things are continuing to move along for you.
