🌺 This past week was well & stable.. Last weekend I wrapped up the Holiday week by continuing to 'Sleep-in' on Saturday morning, & just did a small workout at home... Afterwards we got out & about to a Spring Festival (where I also got in lots of Walking), did some shopping, & after took an early-evening drive enjoying the beautiful "summer-like" weather to finish up the day before coming home..... On Sunday I got back on track with an early Zumba class to start, & then got out & about again afterwards for a family walk to continue enjoying the weather before starting off the week.~

🐝 This past week (While I was still feeling a little low on energy 💤), I managed to get completely back on track with all my usual tasks, goals, & a few appointments, (after taking a "partial break" from some things last week)... Workouts/activity, Meal-planning/Tracking, & Hydration were all on point this week 💪🏼 ... But of course, while my sleep was excellent last week (in giving myself some rest & self-care time), It's gotten off track again this week. And I need to find some balance again.. But the weather has continued to be amazing throughout, So I got to spend alot of time outdoors this week as well, which is so great for my well-being 🙂.~

🌺 This weekend ahead, the "Summer-like" weather will continue ☀️... It’s supposed to be around 90-degrees here on Saturday 🔥!... Intentions are for Zumba classes both Sat/Sun to start the day... As well on Saturday there's a huge all day Spring Festival on the outside of town with lots of Shops, Vendors, Activities & an Outdoor concert~... On Sunday, the weather will be back to being more Spring-like, so hoping to finally wrap-up & complete any outdoor gardening stuff after my class... Then rest & prepare for the week ahead~

HAPPY WEEKEND~

The strangest food was kangaroo 🦘

My week wasn't too bad, despite awful weather.

Looking forward to resetting at the weekend, maybe getting some extra sleep 🩷🤗

I hope you had a good week Polite 💙

Kangaroo?!... Wow!... (And here I thought I was "doing big things & taking some chances" with Squid)?!!... (Automatically makes me think of "Squidward" from SpongeBob)!.. lolol 🤣

I'm glad for you that your week wasn't too bad (despite the weather)... I know that you've had alot going on recently with various things & stressors. So that is good to hear for you! 😊

Yes... Extra sleep is soooo lovely, isn't it?!..... I feel like I always gotta make a choice between Extra sleep or getting things accomplished. Sometimes it seems like there's no in-between there?!.. But I know its all about finding the balance. I hope that you are able to get the rest that you need, and that it's a great reset for you! And that you are able to have a restful, relaxing, weekend ahead! It's good to take care of yourself~ 💕

Thanks for checking in to share with us this week Amanda! And please continue to keep us updated. (Hope things are going well with your dad)!

@PoliteOcean Sunday I worked on my film club. I also wore a new outfit. Rebuilding a life after a catastrophic disaster takes a large sum of money. Monday I went to the library and then to the chiropractor and then to the marina. It was the first time I went for a walk in one week. Wednesday and Thursday Diedre was a no show. She didn't even bother to call me. I decided to terminate her. Ugh. I really hate that. Friday I interviewed a new caretaker and they decided to take the job. Her name is Cynnikka. I finished my book by Athanasius. I started to read "Rebecca" by Daphne de Maurier. She is actually British, not French. I bought a new devotional book by Lewis Sperry Chafer but it hasn't arrived yet. I read on of his books before and he's very good. He is the one who founded Dallas Theological Seminary. I'm also working on Balzac Volume II. For this upcoming week I have an important blood test scheduled for Monday and a massage scheduled for Tuesday. If Cynnikka bails out on me at the last minute I still have to pay the full price for the massage. Diedre did everything I told her not to when I interviewed her. Cynnikka is going to be absent for a week but I told her I was okay with that. I hope to finish my Philosophy Certificate by the end of May. Then I want to start another course. I'm thinking business law but maybe that's too intense for me right now but there are other courses I can take. Pastors are very ignorant of society. It's very disappointing and very frightening.

Hey Regmo~ It sounds like you had quite a busy, as well, a productive week with your Film club, the library, chiropractor, the marina, & your books & interests… And It’s great that you were able to finally get out & about for your walk… That’s really crazy that Diedre was a no show, nor bothered to call. So It’s totally understandable that you terminated her. Makes me wonder what kind of agency is hiring these people?! As none of them have seemed to be very trustworthy so far?... But it’s good that you were able to get a new hire in as quickly as you did. Hopefully you find a better situation in your newest caretaker. And of course that you both were able to talk over your expectations going forward with each other during the interviewing process. And that the new caretaker adheres to them. And hopefully for you she shows up for your appointments in the coming week ahead… It’s great that you are continuing to place focus into your Philosophy Cert as well as taking on another possible course. Those are definitely positive things to look forward to! 👊🏼 Keep up the good work. And continue to let us know how things are going. Thanks for checking in to share your week with us.

@PoliteOcean

Things are a bit unsettling. Blessed I have stability in part of my life. Been evaulating home life and work life. Home requires doing a lot of home improvement building projects (Ikea) and work has limited opporunities when workflow get subtitute when a department loose projects.

I enjoy caring for my pet fish and resting when I can. Got married and miss my love ones at times. Enjoyable positivity. Feel unsettled based of work dynamics. Outside of work I am working on having peace. The emotions and feelings hit hard and come home with me from work.

Goals, keep on exercising and taking walks. I have no control of work dymanics. Let it be. Being excluded or someone else take my work without communication isn't the way I prefer to display it, but if personal matters are more improtant. I have to take care of them. Maybe I care too much about communication and the people. It's what's right to me. Even if the business style has a different formality. Why set boundaries when you just fade into the background?

Don't let my frustrations bring you down. Greatful for the job, but some items could change. Evolving to do career explorations is a interesting take on the job. Not many places provide that.

Hi there~

Sounds like you are going through a bit of an emotional patch of feelings recently… It sounds to be mainly in your “work life”?

It can definitely be challenging to be in a place of employment where you may not feel as valued as you believe that you should be. And It’s understandable that you’re feeling “unsettled”, and having some mixed feelings, thoughts & emotions on things there with your job.

It’s good that despite those feelings & thoughts, that you can also see the “Blessings” in the part of your life where you are feeling that things are more stable for you! … And Hopefully for you that between them both, you can find some balance in everything.

As well as in getting your home improvement building projects worked on little by little. And Finding some better changes in the things that have you frustrated about the job so you don’t have to bring home the feelings & emotions with you!.. As well as maybe even getting a chance to see your loved ones more often so you don’t miss them so much?! Because it’s good to keep close contact with those you love & that you feel support you. :)

We think it’s great that you are taking the time to enjoy caring for your pet fish, resting when you can, working on having peace in your life, and that you’re setting goals to keep exercising & taking walks! Because ALL of these things are Amazing things for your overall health & wellbeing! (Especially during stressful times)! So continue to keep up the Great work that you are doing there! Because You’re doing awesome.

We are here to support you at 7cups, And thank you for checking in to share with us this week. Please continue to update us on how you’re doing!

How are things going today?!... What was One Positive thing about your week?!  Today is going ok.  I made a deal with my professor to submit as little as a one page paper for my final and in exchange she'll give me a B for the class.  Did I tell you this already?  It's a long story.  So I worked on the paper for today.  I'll finish it up tomorrow.  I took a break and didn't do  any packing today.

🐝 This is our "3RD" Check-in for "APRIL"...~ We are Officially Half-way through the month~... How do you feel this month is going for you so far?... What Personal goals, Healthy accomplishments, or Small wins do you feel that you made this month for yourself or your wellbeing?!  I am getting to sleep early in preparation  for moving day.  I'm getting up very early on moving day so I want to be prepped.  I've been packing a lot and that is going well for me.  I don't have much more going on.  sleeping, packing and watching shows on my laptop in the evening.  It's terrible to move.

🌺 As we continue to move through April, (as well as "Stress Awareness Month"), Where are you Or could you, place focus over the things that you "Can" control in your life?... (Examples: Exercise, Sleep, Boundaries, Breaks etc..)?!  I'm sure trying to place focus on all I need to do  as far as moving goes.  I have a daily list for every month.  I couldn't move without.

☀️ JUST FOR FUN: What's the "Strangest or Weirdest" Food that you can Recall ever eating?!.. (I'll start: "Squid" or in fancy terms "Calamari")~ a french dish...white fish blended with garlic and served on toast

🐝 What were your "Highlights or Struggles" of the week?... How were you able to work through your Challenges in a Healthy Way?!  struggles--moving

Hey there Tree~ That sounds like an awesome “exchange” between you & your professor… That’s great that they were willing to help you out & work with you on that.

Good for you on working on a sleep schedule for yourself to help with  preparations for your upcoming move ahead. It Sounds like you’ve been getting alot done, While also getting in time to rest yourself between it all!

Having a list to go by whether daily or otherwise is definitely beneficial!.. (I know without mine, I’d never get things done or even remember things I need to do)!… But having one helps with good productivity, good focus, feeling accomplished & organized, as well as helps to reduce stressors in knowing that your Goals & tasks have been worked on or completed! So great job to you there.

Even though this may seem like a crazy & stressful period for you, it definitely sounds like you’ve been handling things in the healthiest & best way possible for yourself! I have no doubt that your move to your sisters will be successful. And also help you to gain better perspective on things for yourself going forward afterwards. And we hope you keep us posted on it every step of the way.

Thanks for checking in to share your week with us. And please continue to keep us updated!

Ocean - I got my blood work done on Monday which is really great because I had two previous failed attempts. I already got my test results back which is really great. They must be using some high-powered AI tools now. Anyways - my Creatinine is 1.45, my eFGR is 54, and my BUN is 27. I'm worried because I haven't done anything to cause kidney damage. My doctor said that if my kidneys are doing great she might be able to prescribe more medication. What do you think of the results?

@Regmo

It’s good that you were finally able to get your labs done & get the results back so quickly. I’m sure you were glad with that…. It’s hard to say exactly what’s going on there without further evaluation. While two of the results are below the norm, the BUN is elevated. However all of these can be due to various reasons which need to be looked into further. It sounds like your provider could do a further examination into things & possibly help with meds if they feel things are going well. So that’s a positive!

Last night I woke up a 5am and walked around a little bit so I could go back to sleep. When I went to lay down a song called "Born a Hero" started to play in my head for some reason (I still don't know why) but for some reason that second I started replaying the song in my head my body forced it's eyes shut and started vibrating a lot. This lasted until my mom came to wake me up (I'm 13, and it felt like 10 minutes) I was able to make it stop a few times, but the second the song replayed it would start again. Now whenever I here the song I get a mini panic attack (nothing large but enough to make me anxious). I can't seem to find a listener to talk to about this so I just decided to say it here. No one I know irl knows about this and I'm scared to go to bed again. Any tips?

It’s ok to vent & talk about your feelings. And It’s definitely healthy to do so as your feelings are valid.

I’m sorry you had a challenging time finding a listener here to talk about this with, as it sounds like it was a difficult experience for you. Are you close with your mom? Do you feel that you can share your experience with her? Maybe she can help you during those difficult emotions when it happens? Or if there’s something more going on, maybe even take you to talk to someone professional about your experience?

Until you decide who you wish to share it with, just know we’re here to support your feelings at 7cups. Whether through the forums here, in the Group Support Chat-rooms, or in a 1-1 personal chat with a listener. And we also have an “Anxiety Support Community” here as well. Perhaps sharing your experience there too could offer you even more varied support? As maybe someone else there has experienced something similar as you?

But We are here for you at Cups & wish you all the best. Please keep us updated on how you’re doing.

@PoliteOcean Well I had 2 nightmares in one night. The first one was very odd, and I managed to stop it but the second one was so messed up that I won't share what happened in that one. None of the nightmares scared me, but now I feel exhausted from the lack of sleep (I woke up at 3 am and stayed up until 5:50 which is the time I wake up for school). Not sure what to do tonight. Any advice?

@DarkXWolf17KAI

Well, while none of us here at 7cups can give “advice” as we don’t know you or your personal situation, and giving advice might cause more harm than good.

But With that being said, there are sure many various things you might be able to do to simply help you get more relaxed before falling asleep!

What are some things that you like to do that you find personally relaxing? Is it reading a book? Watching a show you enjoy? Perhaps a nice warm bath? Do you like listening to Podcasts or soft/light Music with a set of headphones? Perhaps even journaling your thoughts & feelings & simply releasing them before bed? Or a calming meditation video?

Anything that you find that relaxes & calms you may help you to fall asleep better or quicker?! Perhaps even trying different things to see what might work best for you going forwards could help?! Best of luck to you in finding what personally helps you & keep us updated on what you found to be beneficial for you! 🙂
