🌞 The past week was a "Mix" again with things... Last weekend I started off Saturday with some Zumba time & activity... Then afterwards got out & about to Both a "Spring Festival & an Art Festival"....~ The weather wasn't as warm as the weekend before, however it was a nice, mild, sunny day for it all. And was motivation in getting out, enjoying, & getting things done..... Sunday there was No Zumba class, so I actually decided to get out to a Lake I haven't been to in awhile that has Walking trails, & decided to switch-gears that day with my workout.... And we walked a few miles with the Furbaby~ It was the perfect walking weather & made for a great start to the day overall.~ And it even improved my mood quite a bit in being able to be at & workout somewhere different, & also being in the sunshine!~

🌷 As the week went on, I got back on track (w/ work, my regular fitness classes, tracking, sleep & hydration goals)... Of course the Sleep goals were a little mediocre, so onwards with continuing to work on that as I continue on in my April goals.... I also got plenty of outdoor time & walks with the Furbaby (who keeps me motivated to do so in the afternoons)~...  By mid-week I had to deal with a "Stressor" that came about that I felt shouldn't have in the first place, so it was a slight bump to the week to get in front of... And it changed up my mood a little bit... However after some meditation, I was able to improve in those emotions, and focus on more positive things....

🌼 This weekend ahead will be completely different than usual things, as I will not be going to any Events or festivals, & also will have No Zumba classes either Sat nor Sun... So that will leave me to motivate myself in some home-workouts... There is a local "Zumba-thon" that is happening on Saturday morning for 3 hours, However, I've decided to Sleep-in, catch up on some needed rest, and hopefully relax a bit for the day... Intentions are to also get some outdoor time in, maybe a walk by the lake again with the furbaby, & just focus on some Self-care time.... On Sunday we will gather for a Small family Easter Dinner which I look forwards to enjoying!~

Enjoy the Weekend~

@PoliteOcean I'm writing this early Saturday morning. Here is how the past week went. Sunday and Monday were productive because Leslie's grandchildren were not here. I finished "Washington Square" by Henry James and started the novel "Ruth" by Elizabeth Gaskell. Tuesday Tunde was 15 minutes late with picking me up and the massage therapist cut me off 10 minutes early. I still had to pay $120. I was upset. I'm becoming more disappointed with Tunde's job performance but I can't get rid of him. Furthermore Tuesday was his last day working before his vacation but he said he would be gone for two weeks but now he said 3 weeks. It's very disappointing.  I desperately need to get going with my medical treatment. My new CD of Astrud Gilberto arrived. My therapy appointment on Wednesday didn't go well because Jim spent 15 minutes rehashing issues we already discussed. The appointment is only 30 minutes long. Thursday I called my bank and they said they are going to cut $56 off the balance of one of my credit cards. Friday Sifa is so rude to guests. I really hate that. I've been doing a lot of de-stressing after being abused by Stuart, James and Lemay.  God wants me to stop mindless scrolling on social media. He only wants me to go on social media if I have a real reason. Well, I have an extremely boring life, I think that's a good reason.  My hospital bed broke three weeks ago. I don't have a chair in my bedroom. I can only watch TV lying down but that doesn't work very well. I never received my $50 gift card to CVS from my insurance company. I did receive a $50 card from my financial services company. Leslie finally let me put a side table in my bedroom. I wish she had done that 4 weeks ago. I haven't made any journal entries for about 3 months.  I think I've found a way to transition completely from smoothies to 100 percent coconut 🥥 water 💦.

@Regmo

Hey Regmo~ That’s good for you that you felt your week started off productively for you… And that you were able to do & keep up with things you enjoy doing without the usual issues… But That’s too bad that your massage was cut short as well as still getting charged for the full amount due to Tundes tardiness... I can understand why you’d be upset since it wasn’t your fault. And I can understand you growing to be more disappointed in his performance as a caregiver despite not being able to replace him at this time… If he’s going to be gone for 3 weeks, do you think you could possibly search for another one in that time? Even if you find it to be a “long-shot” right now, you never know what you could possibly come up with in that time? But it’s Just a thought…. As far as your therapist Jim rehashing former issues, as a therapist perhaps he thought those things still needed worked on? But maybe if you  haven’t already done so, you could talk to him about those matters since therapy appts do usually tend to go by pretty quickly.. There’s only so much you have time to touch base about…. (Thats the part that is frustrating is how as patients we wait for our care providers, only to get a minuscule of time with them when we finally do get in to talk about our matters)… I suppose it may have to do with getting paid by the amount of people they can see & squeeze in for the day?! As far as “De-stressing” from former members of the household, it sounds like that is a good step to take in moving forward and leaving them in the past. Otherwise it will only continue to upset your mental health & overall wellness.. I can understand wanting to stop “mindless scrolling” on social media.. It seems like that is something many of us can benefit from doing, By finding something more productive & healthy to do…. But it’s also understandable that it’s something we tend to do if & when we tend to get bored. (As I do the same thing on days like that)… Maybe a medium can be reached by finding a more productive & worthwhile social media handle to invest time in instead... Something that serves a more positive purpose?… Despite your other struggles of the week, it’s nice that you finally got a side table for your bedroom… I know Mine can tend to get much more crowded than I’d like, so I’m sure you have already found good use for it… It’s been awhile since I’ve done any journaling as well… Everytime I tell myself I’ll sit down and do just a bit, I decide against it or get caught up in something else… Maybe we will both find better time or motivation to do it soon?!… Great job on your attempts to transition from smoothies to Coconut water. Coconut water can be very beneficial for hydration amongst other things. So Keep up the great work and let us know how it continues to go. And Thanks for checking in to share your week. And keep us updated on things..~

@PoliteOcean

hi, Ocean,

Happy Easter.

How was your week?  It was stressful, as usual.  One of my professors wants me to rewrite a paper.  I wanted to have closure on the semester.  My prof offered to discuss it with me before I started to rewrite it.  So my professors blew our appointment.  I literally haven't heard from her.  I hope she's ok.

I had to go and get my background check and drug test for my new job.  I'm sure everything will be fine, but it was still stressful.

I gave a presentation on Tuesday.  stressful

At least I was off on Good Friday.

🌷 This is our "3rd" Check-in for April~... We are past the "half-way" point in the month already!~... April is noted as "STRESS AWARENESS MONTH"... What are some things that you do for yourself that are tried & true to reducing "Stressors" in your life?!... What's One Small Step that you could take (or have taken recently) to "Prioritize"  yourself & your Mental health & wellbeing?!

I take my psych meds.

I quit my job because it was no unhealthy mentally.  My last week is this week.

🌼 This weekend will be the "EASTER Holiday" for many of us... (Whether you celebrate or Not), What is "One" thing that you do Or that Helps you in staying on track when less than healthier options are served or involved?!  Oh, I made a batch of cookies for myself.  They weren't any good so I threw them away.

🌞JUST FOR FUN:.. The Easter Bunny is stopping by your House this weekend!... WHAT do you Wish to see in your Easter Basket?!  ozempic

🌷What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?.... How were you able to work through your challenges in a Healthy Way?!  I am working out and getting lots of sleep.

@purpleTree4652

Hey there Tree~ Thank you for the Easter wishes and same to you. I hope you enjoyed. :)

Sorry to hear your week was stressful again.. Wow, wonder what happened to the professor.?! Hopefully you hear something from her soon?! It would seem rather unprofessional otherwise.

Aside from the above, it’s good that you were able to get both your presentation done as well as your background check  completed. I’m sure you’re glad to have both over with. And it Sounds like it won’t be much longer now & that things are moving along with being in your new place of employment soon!

I think you have a lot of wonderful highlights of the week between having Good Friday off, focusing on Stress Awareness & your mental wellbeing, taking your psych meds, quitting a job that was no longer serving a positive purpose or your mental health, baking for yourself (even if it didn’t go over well), working out And getting lots of sleep!! Wow, that’s quite an awesome & amazing list of accomplishments & positive things for you. Keep up the great work you are doing for yourself!... 💪🏼👍🏼

(🤭… I had to giggle at your Ozempiec comment) lol.. But, I totally can understand that response. As I know what a helpful tool it can be for those that need it.

Sounds You’re doing great Tree.. Thank you for sharing your week with us. Glad to hear from you. Please continue to keep us updated on how everything is going!

@PoliteOcean

How was my week?

Honestly, it was a mix of emotional growth and self-reflection. I had some quiet, meaningful moments that helped me feel more grounded. Not perfect, but progress!

April – Stress Awareness Month:

One thing that always helps me reduce stress is journaling. Just writing down my thoughts in a quiet space, even for 10 minutes, makes a difference. Recently, I also started putting my phone away an hour before bed — and wow, it’s helped my sleep and mental clarity more than I expected.

Easter Holiday Challenge:

If less healthy food options are around, I try to enjoy them mindfully, not restrictively. I remind myself that it’s okay to enjoy treats — it’s about balance, not perfection.

Easter Basket Wish:

Can my Easter basket have some peace, dark chocolate, a cozy candle, and a playlist of feel-good songs? That would make my inner child very happy!

Highlights & Struggles:

Highlight: I opened up emotionally to someone I trust and felt heard — something I’ve needed for a while.

Struggle: I’ve been battling procrastination, especially with personal goals. But I’ve been trying to break tasks into baby steps and celebrate even small wins.

What I want to share:

Just a reminder: Your healing isn’t linear, and you’re not behind in life. If you’re still showing up, trying, and being gentle with yourself — that’s already enough.

@tingtingxin

Hey there~ 👋🏼

Wow, it sounds like you had quite a positive week for yourself... (Emotional growth, self reflection, & quiet meaningful moments), are all definitely positive things & progress!

Journaling is a wonderful response in helping to manage stressors… I think it’s also wonderful progress that you made in your sleep routine by putting the phone away beforehand! (Something I myself need to work on doing)!.. It’s great that you found it to bring you the positive change that you desired. Good job to you and continue to keep up the great work.

I love your mindset! I too believe in everything in “moderation” (& not restricting)… Finding Balance is definitely key! 👍🏼 Afterall treating ourselves to things we enjoy every now & then is another highlight in life!

Ohhh… Your “Easter Basket” sounds amazing! And very calming! I think we could all benefit from a basket like that! Great choices! 👍🏼

Despite the struggles of your week, it’s great that you are finding ways to manage those things. And taking the steps to do so… And as well finding “highlighting moments” in being able to open up emotionally to a trusted confidant! And feeling like you were actually “heard”. Definitely some great wins for you there!

Thank you very much for sharing your “gentle reminder” with us! That’s a very important & useful insight for many of us to reflect upon!

And we thank you for checking in to share your week with us! Please continue to let us know how you are progressing & how things are going for you!
