🌞 This past week was well & standard... Last week I got out & about, continued to enjoy the Spring weather we are having, got in plenty of activity, & just did many various things that I enjoy doing since the milder weather has returned.... We even had time to work on & start some early outdoor home projects as we continue to work on getting our home "Season-ready"... As well as continuing to work on some additional "Home improvements".... As the week started off I kept on track with my Work, Workouts/Activity/Classes, Meal-planning, Tracking, & even managed to stay on track pretty well with my Sleep & Hydration goals~... I've noticed since its become warmer out, that my increased need for hydration has finally kicked back in, and its helping~ So thats a good thing....~ And I also got in some Major outdoor time & plenty of afternoon walks with the Furbaby....
🌷 My intentions for my March goals paid-off nicely as I not only reached them, but succeeded in the projected personal goals that I set for myself.... As we now begin & have moved into April, I am continuing to stay on track with & carry on with those same goals... But have also set a new goal for myself this month to improve upon those.... I'm staying the course with what seems to be working, & implementing new challenges to continue my motivation.....
🌼 As this weekend begins, intentions are of course to get in some early morning activity with some Zumba time to start off the day..... There are also several major "3-day Spring events" going on here this weekend.... So intentions are to get in a few of those, get in some added steps, & enjoy the different activities/festivities throughout the weekend.~
Enjoy the week~
@PoliteOcean I'm writing this very early Saturday morning. Here's how the past week went. Sunday I shaved. It was an ordeal as always. I'm used to having my own private bathroom for 25 years before moving in with Leslie. Ugh. 😡 I listened to a one hour lecture on the French Revolution. I've studied it before but I felt a need to get a refresher. Monday I had a phone call with Leo the trustee. He agreed to provide financial assistance for my medical condition. I took a shower. It also was an ordeal. Tuesday I went to the library and also for a walk. Wednesday I did my laundry which is a major accomplishment. Thursday I got a one hour massage for $120. I used my funds from Leo to pay for it. Friday I went to the library and then grocery shopping and then got a haircut. I started two new supplements, Alpha-Lipoic Acid and Japanese Knotweed. There is way too much stress where I live and I don't know how to handle it. For this upcoming week I have a massage scheduled for both Tuesday and Thursday. My biggest aggravation still is that there is no place to read at the house.
@Regmo
Hey Regmo~ You appear to have gotten a lot of tasks accomplished over the course of the week. It sounds like some good progress was made for you, as it’s great that you were able to do your laundry, get in a shave as well as a shower. All of those things are very important in staying on top of hygiene. I’m sure it was much easier when you didn’t have to share a bathroom. However every little step is a positive & healthy one for yourself… It’s also great that you are staying on top of your personal interests and continuing to feed your mind by listening to your French Rev. lecture. And how great for you that you were able to get out & about for your walk, to the library, to get groceries as well as squeezing in a Haircut & massage time! Wow… that’s definitely a productive week for sure. And I'm sure it’s nice to simply get out & away from the house.. It’s fortunate for you that your talk with Leo the trustee went over well. And that the extra financial assistance has been made & available to you for medical purposes. As far as the new supplements you are trying hopefully you find they help. Regarding the added stress in your current household, hopefully you are able to continue to strive towards your goal of getting out of that situation. And until then hopefully your Therapist is working with you on some coping skills to help deal with and manage that?!… It sounds like you have another productive week of appointments regarding your massages to help you in releasing some of that stress. And that you hopefully find some relaxation in as well! Thanks for checking in to share your week with us. Please continue to keep us updated on how things are going.
@PoliteOcean thank you so much for this beautiful graphic 🥰 I feel I gave to give time to my emotions and energy levels. I am so busy rushing around trying to help others in my daily life, my own needs are drastically neglected at times. If I were to be a vegetable for the rest of my life, I would be a potato, because they are grounded, and Irish 😁, as for the fruit, I would be an orange, colourful and sturdy 😊 My week was mentally draining, I learnt a harsh lesson not to depend on the wrong people and the person that has your back the most is yourself!
@Amanda84
Hey there Amanda! 👋🏼
You are so very Welcome 😊~
I totally understand and can relate to what you say about (rushing around helping others, while our own needs can get neglected)… That can be a challenging thing for sure. And can lead to “Burn-out” & stress pretty quickly…. I’ve narrowed it down & refer to it as being both “trying to be a people-pleaser”, as well as being difficult to simply say “NO”! And we definitely have to find a balance there with it all, So that we can have better overall well-being. 🥰
I’m sorry to hear that your week was a mentally draining one for you. Those kinds of weeks can definitely be very exhausting for sure. But it’s also a positive experience if you can take something from it & you were able to learn a valuable lesson for yourself going forward! Hopefully the week ahead will be a much better one for you!
Mmmm… 😋 Potatoes & Oranges! Excellent choices! 👍🏼
It’s so great to hear from you this week. Thank you for stopping by to share with us! Please keep us updated on how you are doing & how things continue to go for you!
@PoliteOcean i will and thank you for your well expressed answers and your kindness 🥰
Just wanted to say a quick hello. I have all intentions on getting in to answer the questions at some point this week but this weekend has been busy....worked some OT yesterday and the first spring travel soccer game is today....Hopefully later this afternoon I'll be able to get in to fully participate....either way, enjoy your Sunday and have a great week.....
@PoliteOcean
Hi, Ocean,
I've missed you! This is going to be short and sweet. I ended up contacting the family that I didn't want to contact for the student loan. They said yes, they will loan me the money for my last year of school.
I was offered a new job today. It pays $4 more than I am currently making per hour. So, that's good news, too.
I've missed other posters, too.
I feel like I can think again.
XO
@purpleTree4652
Hey there Tree!
I’ve been thinking of you! So Glad to see you this week. You’ve been missed! I wanted to give you some personal time & space because I knew you were going through a rough patch… And didn’t want to make anything worse for you!
I’m so glad for the update and that things are working out with the loan & the rest of your schooling. I’m sure that is such a load off your mind?! Now you can focus & concentrate on your studies. And how awesome on the new job offer! Wow, lots of great news for you there this week!
Thank you for sharing it all with us, and updating us about everything. And please continue to let us know how things are going moving forwards! 🙏🏼
