I am a little late to this thread. Generally, I work with my therapist to keep accountable to my overall health goals. Doing that last year, I was able to achieve my nutritional, mental health, gym, and budgeting goals for the first time in maybe ever. This year two of my goals to increase my gym activity one day per week, and to really focus on staying hydrated. I have not achieved those goals this past week, so I am checking in here in hopes of keeping up with the momentum of how much I enjoyed completing a year with the feeling of achieving my health goals 💚

Hello there~ 👋🏼

Better late than never right?! We are glad to have you check in with us.

It’s great that you are keeping up with your general overall wellness goals with your therapist! Good job to you there on the work that you are doing for yourself. And what you have achieved so far! 👍🏼👊🏼

It’s also great that you are striving to work towards new goals in the areas of Fitness & Hydration!

One day at a time, with small steps daily, can definitely add up to bigger steps over time. Starting small in creating a goal for yourself about what activity you wish to do, how long you would like to put in on it, and increase your time little at time as you go. The same with hydration… Where you could create goals to increase the ounces that you take in little by little each day until you get to where you desire to be. Continue to track your progress, & perhaps journal your efforts for continued progress and  success from day to day. Tracking in some way & seeing the changes & progress for yourself can definitely help with consistency & continued accountability & motivation.

We are happy to help support you in your goals & efforts. And to continue to cheer you on! Please continue to check in with us in our end of the week, weekly check-ins & touch base to let us know how things are going! And thank you for checking in to share with us.

Yes! That was something my therapist would remind me of. Paths forward are built a pebble at a time. I think that made the difference in achieving my health goals overall last year, it wasn't that I didn't get off track and find that the path to healthierness was sometimes meandering, it was learning to embrace that also. This week, I will make it to the gym a little less than I had hoped to, by this time next year, though, I will have that extra day.

Hydration seems a little more exigent, though, I almost met my hydration goals yesterday though🎉 I offered myself some kindness with a pack of bubbly water to support with making sure I meet that goal today, then tomorrow it will be a bit easier to meet that goal, ...and then the next day easier still. My goal has been a set number of ounces per day, somehow the bustling day always takes precedent, and I forget.

Thanks for the encouragement.

@PoliteOcean

How did your first Full week of 2026 go?!

week has been awful

trigger warning:

we got more information on day brother was murdered also no one  telling us much mostly only getting information off FB this has upset us big time but we use to this in away too

 How are you feeling this week about any (Resolutions, Goals, Intentions, or Otherwise) that You may have set or created for yourself in the New Year last week?... What "small steps" have you created, put in place, (or plan to make) to move forward in them?!

we have put in place time to just chill and space to be more mindful of our feelings we plan on getting back into Journaling  as we kinda have got away from that

also we plan on getting back into reading/listening to bible each day this helps us both mentally and spiritually too

 WHAT is Something that you feel helps in making you Not only "Feel good", but that also helps in "Boosting Your Self Esteem"?!

think for us it arts and crafts as we feel good when doing them and well others give positive   comments this builds our self esteem up too

If you could have ONE Famous Artist stop by, hang-out, & Sing for you WHO would it be?

this a hard one for us as we enjoy listening to many artists  so very hard to just pick one for us  but we going to say  Don Moen as his music helped us through some very hard times over the years

 How were you able to work through your Challenges in a Healthy Way?!

yes as for first time we reached out to a listener that we know already from chatting in 24/7 support chat room this  helped us not to go back into unhealthy coping skills we very thankful for their help and time spent talking to us was a big help we say also that due to not just going off and self harming due to things that happened this also built us up in positive  ways

❄️ What is something else that "YOU" want to Talk about, Add, Or Share with us this week?!

could use some ways to eat healthy without having to cook as there days we  just can not cook due to the physical  and mental pain we have

been grieving  the loss of sister in law and brother hard one is  dealing with all the mixed emotions over  brother murder and seeing he was one of our main trigger warning sexual abusers this has been very hard love him but also dislike him in many ways too

this is effecting our mental and emotional health badly

has anyone  lost a close family member who was also one of their abuser

@stormieandpaws

 Hi there~

We are sorry to hear that you’ve had such an awful week. Sounds like you have alot of family issues that have recently been very upsetting for you & other loved ones. And we hope in one of those instances that you are able to find out more details about the matter that will bring some resolve to you all in your time of loss, grief & mourning of your family member.

We are very glad for you that you have been able to take time for yourselves & put in place time to be more mindful & simply take care of yourself & your overall wellbeing. And also taking positive steps to deal with your emotional & spiritual wellbeing through journaling & reading/listening to the Bible! As both of those things can definitely help so immensely!

It’s also wonderful that you have positive & healthy hobbies through arts & crafts to help build up continued self-esteem!

And it’s amazing for you that you were able to find a wonderful listener here in our Chat support that helped you through difficult times. And who also helped you get away from unhealthy coping skills. And who helped built you up during your time of need.

As far as ways to eat healthy without having to cook, perhaps keeping things “Basic & Simple” during these challenging times can help! Consider choosing healthier options such as canned Chicken in water or Chicken packs, Tuna packs, Hard boiled eggs etc.. for Proteins. Things that you can make & prep ahead to have for a few days.. But Salads, Chicken Wraps, Tuna Wraps, Egg Wraps, or Egg Salads, Yogurts or Cottage cheese cups,  Fruits, Veggies, Nuts & Seeds (if nobody is allergic), Plenty of water to help keep you fuller longer & stay hydrated!.. There are so many wonderful & quick things you can make that are healthy without having to really cook. And even more wonderful quick staples that you can find Through YouTube videos, Pinterest recipes, & other social media platforms where you can find “Quick & Simple Recipe” groups!

Just know that we are here to support you & your continued efforts to stay healthy & well during difficult times. We are here for you. And Thank you for checking in to share & continue to keep us updated!
