🎉 This past week was well & standard... Coming off of the Christmas Holiday, I got back on track with some things last weekend such as squeezing in Zumba classes to start off each day... I also got in some post-holiday shopping & errands, and bought some things with my Christmas gift-cards to get me motivated for New Year's goals~...

As the week itself started off, Schedules at my Gym were modified due to the Holiday week.. So I got in the few classes that I could, & spent the remainder of the week squeezing in Workouts at home. And it also gave me the opportunity to try out some of my New Home-gym equipment that I received for Christmas!... New Years Eve was spent celebrating quietly at home with loved ones & a good time was had as we rang in the New Year together~... While I thoroughly enjoyed the Holidays, and didn't stay on track or plan with "All" goals, I'm looking forwards to jumping back into doing so as we've moved into a New Month & year~... I definitely envision reaching my personal goals that I have for myself this year ahead.~

🎈 This weekend ahead, intentions are getting back on track with things, classes, etc... Zumba classes to start off each day, & some post holiday errands & shopping afterwards to prepare for the upcoming week.... And also working on getting All of "Christmas" back down & put away both inside & out.~ While looking forwards to starting off the coming week ahead fresh, new, motivated, & focused

HAPPY WEEKEND & NEW YEAR~

@PoliteOcean Sunday night John went to the hospital and has been there for 5 days. This is very good news because I was really worried about the next room mate abusing me. He threw up blood 7 times on Saturday and a couple times on Sunday. I asked him a couple times if he thinks he should go to the hospital and he said no. Justyce only worked two days this week so I only went on two walks. I'm currently reading "Germinal" by Zola and "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Somebody took a package from the porch and put it in the living room but didn't tell me about it. I found it two days later. I watched this super cool video about Freemasonry. It was very enlightening. This information should have been given to me a few decades ago. Wednesday two new books arrived but I didn't like either one of them so I'm going to have to return them. I really hate that. I got 5 more books that are supposed to arrive in the next two weeks. For this upcoming week I have a massage on Monday and an appointment with my alternative medicine practitioner on Thursday.  My verse for this year is Isaiah 43:18-19.  I've been reading my commentary on Psalms and it's really great. Justyce isn't going back to school anytime soon, so that's good for me. My energy fields are shifting so that is very good news.

Hey Regmo~... Hopefully John is able to return & its nothing too serious... Its good that you were able to get in at least Two walks over the week, As Schedules get crazy during the Holidays... It's also good that you're keeping up with your Reading & interests despite having to return some... And that you're keeping up with Scripture. Psalms is a great choice... It sounds like you'll have a productive upcoming first full week of January ahead with appointments. A massage is a great thing to start the week off with. Thanks for checking in to share your week and continue to keep us updated on things.

I rang in the New year with champagne and dancing 😊 I am looking forward to a year where I start taking more time to work out what I want and to say yes to more opportunities. I have done most things 😁 but I would like to attend as many football games as I can this year 😊💚

Sounds like you had a great time for yourself ringing in the New Year (Dancing is always a great time no matter the occasion)!..~ And that you've also placed some focus on new goals in working things out while also saying yes to more things as well... (Looks like "Football" is a Big part of those goals for you also)?! ... lol.. Enjoy!

And thanks for sharing with us this week! Please continue to keep us posted on how you're doing. 😊

Hi Ocean 😊 !!!

Hi Ocean 😊✨

I’m genuinely grateful for all the support here—thank you for always checking in on us 💐

When you asked what we want to share this week, I hesitated… but I decided to speak anyway.

Lately, I’ve been carrying a quiet chaos inside me for a long time. I often tell myself it’s not important enough to talk about, or that there’s no real solution—so what’s the point? But the weight hasn’t gone away.

A new year has started, yet I don’t feel it. Instead, I feel heavy. Uneasy. Afraid.

Afraid that I’ll waste this year the same way I wasted 2025 😔

And this fear doesn’t feel like a passing thought—it feels deep, constant, and real.

Last year, I made mistakes I deeply regret. Mistakes that disgust me when I think about them. I know those wounds may never fully heal, and I’ve accepted that I’ll carry them with me. That part is okay.

What hurts is that I don’t want those wounds to define my entire future—but they keep resurfacing, triggering me, pulling me back when I try to move forward.

And my studies… honestly, this is the part that scares me the most.

I don’t recognize myself anymore. I procrastinate, I avoid starting, and I feel ashamed of my own laziness. I know something is disturbing me from deep inside, but I can’t quite name it—only feel its presence holding me back.

And I'm also dealing with some financial issues 😔 it just tightening my heart from breathing!!

Every day feels heavy with guilt and regret. I’ve hit a point of deep despair where nothing motivates me, and the fear refuses to loosen its grip 🙁

I don’t want to live like this.

I want a healthy mind.

I want stability.

I want to walk firmly, speak confidently, and actually feel happy—not just pretend to be 😕

So… here I am. Reaching out. Hoping for guidance, clarity, or even just understanding 💗🦋

I wasn’t sure if I should share this here—but I did anyway.

And maybe that’s a start.

Hi there~ 👋🏼 🙂

And Welcome to our community!

Thank you for being so brave & finding the confidence within yourself to share with us! I’m sure that was challenging for you to do. But we are glad you were able to release some of those feelings & get them off your chest & your mind!

@PoliteOcean

Hello Ocean !! 😊

Thank you so much for your kind words 💗 They truly mean a lot to me 😊

When I first joined this community, I was confused and unsure of what I was feeling. Opening up or asking for help felt strange and uncomfortable. But with time, I began to understand myself better and learned so much here 😁

I joined all the sub-communities you mentioned. I used to just read posts quietly. I was exhausted—from venting, from trying to change, and from the fear of getting myself back on track. Somewhere along the way, I realized I had spent too much time stuck in my own thoughts, hiding behind chaos and mental struggles, and watching the year slip away 😞

I’m done feeding negative thoughts and wasting my time on them 😊💕

So I decided to reach out for help—and that’s why I’m here 😊✨

Thank you all for your concern and genuine support. I’m truly grateful 💖💐

Hugs 🤗

Oh you are so very welcome!! 🤗

I can totally relate to the things you are saying… as I know when I first started here years ago that I had experienced some of those feelings as well. (All of the unknown), & just wanting to feel better in every way that I could. But not knowing where or how to start. (Until I just JUMPED in, & got my feet wet here)!… I think many of us here have felt the same ways (which is what brought most of us here to begin with)! lol

But we are all in it together here at Cups! And again we are here for you!… And I’m so very glad you reached out for support & took time to take a look into those other communities that I mentioned as well. I have no doubt that you will continue to grow & flourish in the ways that you desire going forward! Just remember step by step, & day by day. One step & One day at a time!

Take care and have a great week! Hugs! 😊

Yeah, realizing that many people here feel the same way helped me feel more grounded. Knowing I’m not alone really changed my perspective 😊

Thank you for the hope and support. Just knowing someone is here makes things feel less isolating, and it honestly made my day 💐

Thank you and u 2 Take care—and hugs received 🤗✨

@PoliteOcean I'm writing this Sunday night January 4th. Leslie told me that John is planning to go from the hospital directly to the airport and move to Nashville. That's insane !! He's not a criminal - no one can stop him. He's not in a position to go anywhere. I'm worried about the next room mate abusing me. Leslie is a very evil and selfish person.  2025 was the best year I've had in a long time and I don't want anyone to ruin it. If I was to rent this room for myself I would have to pay an extra $700 per month. That's way way too much.

Hey Regmo~ That’s pretty crazy that your current roommate would decide so suddenly to just go straight from the situation he’s in at the hospital to some  place new… But you’re right in that it’s his choice & nobody can change that or stop that. I suppose he’ll have to figure things out for himself once he gets to where he’s going to see or know if it will all work out for him or not… I know it leaves the door open to the “unknown” for you going forward as far as a new roommate is concerned. But perhaps trying to stay in positive thoughts about it all & leaning into your Faith can help with the worry that you’re currently feeling as things haven’t happened yet.. But yes I would also have to agree that another $700 just to be in a room on your own is quite costly. Hopefully things will come together in a positive way with it all. Keep us posted.

@PoliteOcean Leslie is the second worst person I've ever met in my entire life. Any expletive I use on 7 cups would be censored. First she told me that John was going to be in the hospital for another two weeks. Then she told me he was going directly from the hospital to the airport. Well I came home Monday night from being out and John was lying down on his bed in our bedroom.  He said he definitely going to be moving out later this week.  Leslie is reckless with her facts and irresponsible and a habitual liar. She is a narcissist and has no conscience.

And How are you feeling as we've both said "goodbye" to another year, & "Hello" to a New Year this past week?!...I usually get anxious for all the questions about 'how the year went' to end.

This is our "FIRST" Check-in for "JANUARY & for 2026"~ And we've begun the First New Chapter of a brand New Year~ ... Looking ahead, What are some things you're looking forwards to writing in your chapters or seeing for yourself in 2026 ?!  I want a job that can sustain me.

🎈 Whether you believe in making Resolutions, Goals, Intentions, (or something else), What are some things or areas that you would like to make "Healthy" Changes, Growth, Improvements, Or Progress in for 2026?!  I want to continue to work out lightly.  And I want to make changes that will improve myself so I can do well in my new job.

🎉JUST FOR FUN: What is ONE thing that you have never done yet, that you wouldn't mind giving a Chance or Try in 2026?!... I haven't dated a man in the past few years.  I am looking forward to that after I graduate.  I've been waiting until after school so I am not distracted before hand.  Plus, I'll be moving for a job (because there are few around here).  When I am in my new home I'll be single and ready to mingle.  :)

What were your "Highlights or Struggles" of the week?... How were you able to work through your Challenges in a Healthy Way?!  My new years eve was fun.  I watched the London fireworks with a friend and we toasted each other.  She lives in the UK.  I just watched it online with her.

I read that Regmo has a passage from the bible for this coming year.  That inspired me to pick a quote for my year.  I have one.  Everything I lose will create space for everything I need.

Hey Tree~

I can understand you wanting to have a job that will continue to allow for all that you need & trying to do in your life. It’s great that you are continuing to make strides to get to where you desire to be… And also that you are wanting to continue working on goals for yourself to make changes to help yourself improve, (whether it be by working on your physical wellbeing through workouts, or professionally to do well in your future job).

It’s also great that you are looking ahead at & thinking on your social wellbeing as well. By looking ahead to a possible dating life once graduation is complete. It’s understandable that you want to keep this separate from that right now to better focus… But it’s wonderful that you have an open-mind to it all for yourself in the future.

That’s great for you that you enjoyed your NYE with your Pen-Pal in the UK 🇬🇧…. (I had wished my UK friend an “early” New Years, as I know they are 5-hours ahead of us)… Were you able to make it to stay up and watch ours here in the USA? It’s really nice that you were both able to pull it off together to celebrate 🎉

Thanks for checking in to share with us this week. And continue to keep us updated on how things are going.
