Welcome to the Speculation Room!

Gamer Outreach is holding a grand Halloween Murder Mystery Dinner that will commence on Monday 17th October 2016 and end on October 31st 2016

The storyline will unfold in this thread

Anyone and everyone may attend! This event is not exclusive to the Gamer Outreach Team

Updates will be posted on this thread

Summary of the Game:

- This is an entirely fictional scenario

- There will be "Special Guests" (Users who will act as characters)

- These characters will have their own story lines, scripts and backgrounds

- These characters do not embody the users who portray them - remember they are all simply actors

- Clues will be spread over the Feed, Chatrooms and Forums, it will be your job to find these clues.

- The special guests will be killed one by one and there will be only one murderer

- Clues will reveal the story-line, as the story line unfolds potential motives will be revealed

- Your aim is to find out who the murderer is with the clues provided

- A seperate thread will be opened on Monday in which you may watch all the special guests interact with each other

- You maye intereact with the special guests in the forums and feed, but keep speculation and clues in this room

- You are a team. There is no single winner. As a majority you must try and pick the correct suspect as the murderer. If the majority chooses the wrong person then the murderer wins.

In this thread users and guests may collaborate together to speculate and discuss potential suspects. Here you may address clues and hints you've discovered. Work together as a team to find out who the murderer is. All your evidence, theories and ideas may be presented openly in this thread.

To be honest, this whole time reading this murder mystery (whilst on my complete break), I keep thinking that @Yendi is the real culprit. Though maybe that's my morbid suspicions which over-analyse seemingly innocent actions - how old is Yendi even? xD Though Doctor @JaceofSpades still looks suspicious. Anyway, good job on all the speculation, this all looks pretty cool and I love seeing the teamwork - especially @Celaeno, @Nada and @HalliwellSister, you guys are really consistent in doing your best to solve this! Guess we should have a 7Cups Detective Crew eventually, haha. <3

@ZaraSmiles

Oh yes Doctor @JaceofSpades faked their death! it was a ploy all along. They're slowly killing everyone; one by one, two by two. They will all fall because to them the culprit is as good as dead! O.o

and yes we are a scooby gang. Hope on @MidniteAngel and @Nada I am not driving , one of you two take the wheeeeel.

This observation is probably very late and may not be useful, but I just noticed that Doctor Jace didn't drink wine so they were the only one who got the "special" mocktail :P

This seems like an extremely convenient time to kill them off :O Perhaps the murderer had been planning for this all along with the non-wine-drinking in mind? It would seem so suspicious though as they were the only person to get the mocktail. Or perhaps Jace pretended not to drink wine to get the mocktail and pretend it had killed them, to lay the blame on JohnnyM. Who knows...

@Aryore, right. I've just read so much Agatha Cristie in my life and I just can't shake the feeling that the Doctor is a culprint, because of that ^^; Also, faking one's death is a common trope. The body was found by the kid, so in that circumstances it is easier to pull it off. DoctorJaceofSpade has to be working with someone who had to add something to her drink to stop her heart, etc. - KidYendi mentioned found bottles and the "chef".

Okay, gang, I was away for a few days and the deadline is closing upon us, so let's do a recap ^^; Let's see what we know - please correct me if I I am wrong and please add your thoughts and share your opinion:

Who is murdered and how?

Jaceofspades (doctor) - poisoned by the cocktail.

Skyisblue (debt collector) - hit in the head with the metal serving tray.

Liz1000 (servant) - drowned in the backyard pool.

JohnnyM (land owner) - dead in his bedroom.

Who is still alive at this moment?

Yendi (kid), Sarra (wife), Dillion (husband), ArwaS (criminal), Diandra (judge) + maybe ImL (lover), but she's still MIA.

What motives we've so far?

Dillion's debts, romance between Sarra and JohnnyM, romance between JohnnyM and ImL, ArwaS's murder charges + Diandra's failed case trial, JohnnyM's poor state of finances + death of his servants.

Who has the most to gain with those killings?

For me it seems Sarra has the most to gain and lose if she didn't reacted in time, trying to "save" her family. She was spooked by doctor's prying on Yendi's eyes colour, killed debt collector to help her husband, murdered JohnnyM in the act of jealousy and did something to ImL out of revenge. Liz1000 probably saw something suspicious and in order to cover her tracks Sarra had to get rid of them, too.

But Dillion fits a bit in this scenario as well. And I also "like" the idea of the creepy little KidYendi with an innocent smile who has psychopatic tendencies from her real father, JohhnyM. Or of the LadyArwas who just kills out of pleasure or of the lawful evil JudgeDiandra who goes rogue ^^

@Celaeno Nice summary! :D I agree with your theory that Sarra is the most likely suspect, she seems to have the most ties and motives to the victims. (Then again, if the chain of victims continues in the same fashion she'll be killed off as well xD it seems like the favourite suspect always gets killed next)

October 29th, 2016

@Celaeno

I agree I also think dillon knows she may have killed the doctor earlier and recognized the bottle and took it from their daughter. I feel a back stab coming. He may be putting two and two together or ma be helping her cover up the crimes?

So ImL and Yendi were murdered. Gang, we need to bring the killer to justice! The deadline is tomorrow.

So as our suspects we've got: the problematic couple, Sarra and Dillion, shady lady ArwaS and "utterly not suspicious, no, no clues directed to me" judge Diandra.

1 reply
October 30th, 2016

@Celaeno

I still think it's the couple. They killed their own child to save their marriage. He found out it wasn't his daughter and she was a loose end. They are in this together to the very end me thinks. Also by killing their own child it makes people not suspect them. People do strange things when in love.

I think it's Judge Diandra...she's been far too quiet. She took the opportunity of Lady Arwa being released as the chance to kill off the ones she wanted and hopefully pin it on the "criminal" in attendance. Not sure why I think this...just my random thoughts.

Maybe she even let the mizip happen so she could be released so all of this could happen and she could pin the murders on her and get her put in jaIL for all of them! Ooooo good thinking!

@Moj, I know, the character of judge Diandra really unsettles me, because they are so quiet and passive. Lady ArwaS is shady too, but at least we know about her criminal past.

I think the current clues still points to Sarra, even after the death of Yendi and Dillion + we have new conversation between Sarra and Diandra, so the romance between them is confirmed.

The next murder will determine everything, so let's stay tuned ^^

Maybe it's been our red herring all along ... Lady Arwa. Got out on a court mishap but knew it was only time before they caught her and used it to kill off everyone that crossed her. She's the obvious choice. So much so no one's looking at her

10 special guests... did someone else show up who wasn't invited? There was a mix up with the invitations after all.
